This is the most satisfying B&B hotel in Anhui. The kids like it and the mom is satisfied. Hahaha. Although the price is a little expensive, I think it is worth it. As for parking, the hotel is full of scenery. You can take beautiful photos or have a good rest to get rid of your fatigue. From arrival to departure, there is a full sense of ceremony. The stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there. When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter. Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street. Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!

When you arrive at the entrance of Hongcun, the store will pull a trolley to pick you up, because the road in Hongcun is not very friendly to the suitcase. The hotel is very close to the moon marsh. The room is clean and tidy, very new, the store service attitude is very good, and we are sent out of the village when we leave. We stayed for two days. Sleeping at night is also quiet, and the air conditioning is also powerful. Forgot to take pictures, haha, very satisfied

The B&B is inside Hongcun, very close to the south gate. The living environment inside is antique and the courtyard is beautifully decorated. It's a pity that I came here in winter and didn't see the persimmon tree in Courtyard No. 2. I guess it will be beautiful in autumn when the persimmons turn red.

Zhang Mansion is a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village, its decor and furnishing is fitting with the historic setting but with modern, clean and comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to others! Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you. The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable. Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests. Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water. The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain).

The courtyard is really quiet in a bustling city. The landlady is very enthusiastic and talkative. When we talked about us coming from Jiaxing, she said that she had worked in Jiaxing for five years and made pastries in the cafeteria of Jiaxing University. She also talked about Nanhu and Wenchang Road, and was very cordial. With the development of Hongcun's tourism industry, I returned to the village in 2013 to run a homestay. In order to provide a better homestay experience, I renovated the homestay again in 2023 and reduced the number of rooms. This is what my two children said was the best homestay experience on this trip to Huizhou. The 1.5-meter twin bed room has a desk for doing homework, a clean and tidy bathroom, and floor heating that was turned on in advance. The children still remember it very much.

I suddenly wanted to go to Hongcun for a tour. I booked a hotel on Ctrip the night before I went there. I chose this hotel because the room area was the largest among the available options and it had floor-to-ceiling windows. After checking in, I found that it was completely beyond my imagination. The whole house intelligence can command Xiao Ai to do anything, which is very convenient. As Xiao Ai opened the curtains, the bamboo forest came into view, which found a place to rest my tired body. The most unexpected thing was the butler Wang of the homestay. After receiving our order, he contacted me to help us contact a car from Chengkan to the hotel. Because I was prone to motion sickness and the whole journey was on a mountain road, butler Wang also thoughtfully helped us choose a more stable oil truck driver. The most unforgettable and fascinating thing for me was that my beloved gourd bracelet was lost when I put down my luggage and just went out to play. I couldn't find it after searching for more than half an hour. After hearing about it, Butler Wang calmed me down first. He not only helped me go out to look for it, but also took us to the shop selling gourd handicrafts in Hongcun to see if there was the same one. After knowing that I didn't like it, he helped me contact the vehicle in Chengkan, and brought me another one exactly the same from Chengkan. This attentiveness and warmth made the soul feel at home. Butler Wang provided us with thoughtful and comprehensive services throughout the whole process, and we received meticulous care. We have agreed to come again next time, not only for the moving scenery, but also to meet Butler Wang who is as hot as fire. The taste of the hotel's restaurant made the two of us praise it endlessly, and it was endless aftertaste. It provides tourists with more satisfaction in terms of dishes, taste and price than the hotels outside Hongcun.

The location of the B&B is easy to find. It is not far from the south gate entrance of Hongcun Scenic Area, and Nanhu Lake is right outside. You can also see many views of Hongcun from the terrace. The room is spacious, clean and tidy, and the utensils inside are very good and reasonably designed. The boss and his wife are very considerate in service. They helped to carry the luggage upstairs and helped to book a car to the high-speed rail station. I am very satisfied.

The Homestay is located not far from two of the entrances to the village of Hongcun, and one of the owners came and picked us up at the gates, and offered to carry our luggage. The house is very real, they have three lovely pets and are extremely welcoming and helpful. I speak a little Chinese so communication was fairly easy, but with the translation apps I guess it would be as easy. The owner was kind to explain a couple of things about the village and to give us helpful informations on our trip to Huangshan of the following day. She even made a phone call to ensure we could buy tickets at the departure of the cable cars. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is what we were looking for. My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.
