Enjoyed a very pleasant 4 day trip to visit the historical and revolutionary sites of Yan’an and the trip was made much better thanks to a very comfortable and convenient stay at the Wanda Realm. For anybody who plans to visit the city I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is located just to the south of the old city of Yan’an in the newly built Wanda City area. It is a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the old center (depending on traffic) and it’s relatively easy to call a taxi with a ride hailing app like Didi. It’s also within walking distance of the Red Street 红街 tourism area that has a theatre, cinema, activities, coffee shops and restaurants.
The hotel is new and all of the main public areas are clean and well maintained - such as the lobby, hotel rooms, restaurant and gym/pool. The gym contains my favorite Life Fitness gym equipment (a quality brand) and the multi-lane, 25m meter pool is a dream for anyone who likes to swim. It even offers a good view.
The hotel breakfast is very good value for money and offers a high quality selection of Western-style food (bread, eggs, bacon, sausages and cereals) as well as very tasty local Chinese food - especially local Yan’an/Shanxi noodles and dumplings. For any foreigners like me, you’ll get a good sense of local taste with good ingredients.
The room was very clean and spacious with nice balcony and great view of the lake and Red Street. Service staff was excellent and many staff speak good English. We even received a nice hand written message and welcome fruits.
Especially if you travel with children, this is where you should stay in Yan’an. Thank you for making my holiday more enjoyable.

The park is covered with green plants. There are outdoor swimming pools for children and adults. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry and didn't have time to experience the water. There are also gardening arrangements, complete housing facilities and equipment, clean and tidy. The staff is very considerate. They turned on the air conditioner in advance, increased the amount of mineral water, and prepared children's slippers. The breakfast is very satisfactory, with Western-style pastries and grains with the characteristics of northern Shaanxi. When checking out, the front desk staff also gave a souvenir, a grain gift bag from northern Shaanxi. In short, I am satisfied! Satisfied! I will recommend other friends to come.

The front desk was welcoming and the cleaning was very clean. Although occasionally the sound of external cars passing by the street, the internal accommodation is still relatively quiet. The bath water on the first day was not too hot, and the water temperature on the second day was OK. The most important thing is very close to Yan'an Railway Station. It takes 7 or 8 minutes to walk. From the hotel, you can see the mountain view and the train station. Generally, you can pick up the door for a day trip. Overall it is satisfactory.

Staying at the Magnolia Hotel again, the hotel service is superb, the facilities are complete and the travel is convenient. The sanitary environment is clean and hygienic. CCat I had a wonderful stay, Lian Jie was very generous and hospitable. She showed me how caves were created and made me a three course dinner! There was great hot water shower and heating panel which kept me feeling toasty even as the temperature plummeted in the night. Definitely recommend this place when you go to the Yucha canyon - it’s 3km away and a fantastic way to help the local economy while enjoying local hospitality.

GGuest UserWe booked two rooms, both with a big kang. It was very spacious when we pushed open the door, and the layout was very typical of northern Shaanxi.
The yard is a standard farmyard, kept very clean and nice for children to run around and look around.
The boss and his wife are very nice, and the food tastes good.
It is very close to Qiankun Bay. You can see the Yellow River in a few steps on the road next to the house. The scenery is great. There are jujube trees on both sides of the road (you can reach them and secretly pick two 🤭)
The mountain road is rugged and there is a section of stone-paved washboard road, so you have to be careful when driving.

It seems that many hotels buy the most inexpensive machines to be able to add laundry room to their amenities list. We are into our sixth week of travel in China and we depend on laundry rooms as an essential item not a luxury add on.

GGuest UserThe room is 30~32㎡, spacious, bright, clean and hygienic. The room has free refreshments, tea bags, coffee bags, and milk. Four bottles of water are prepared for each room. If it is not enough, call the front desk and they will deliver it. The hotel front desk beauty Xiao Gao is warm and thoughtful, considerate and meticulous. It really feels like returning home, just like visiting a relative's house and receiving a warm hospitality. His family has a large gym and a swimming pool. There is free parking and it is located in a bustling area, which is convenient to go anywhere. His hotel also has a restaurant, and it is convenient to eat, drink, entertain and travel around. We upgraded to a south-facing pagoda view room. Floor-to-ceiling windows, plenty of sunlight. You can see the lights of the pagoda at night, and we are lucky to see the light show. There is also braised carp for breakfast, which is delicious and tasty. There are both hot and cold dishes, fruit, bread, snacks and coffee. I am very happy to have chosen a comfortable and favorite hotel this time.

GGuest UserThe hotel reception is excellent. Very helpful through a phone translator. This Yan’an hotel, like a high proportion in my experience, has a different name than on Trip.com. The name on the elevator is Pod Inn.
One of the revolutionary sites is a very short walk away: 25 yuan entrance plus 100 yuan deposit for the audio guide. Alipay doesn’t work, but WeChat does. Or bring cash.
Great to be in Yan’an for the memorial museum:
1. You only need passport and to fill in details in the visitor book to get in 2. Free to get in and awesome because of the importance of this time. 3. Bring your translator camera app to get a lot more out of this amazing place.

GGuest UserThe room is large, clean and hygienic. I booked two rooms, one standard room and one Kang room. The layout is very unique. The bed is comfortable. There is a parking space at the door, but there are not many parking spaces. I took the elevator and saw that there is an underground parking lot on the first floor that is not open. The breakfast variety is very rich, and the small apples placed at the front desk are delicious. Unfortunately, they are not sold. I walked around Yan'an and didn't see any for sale, which is a bit regretful.

The front desk staff and security guards are very friendly. Parking 🅿️ is right at the door. Very convenient. The room was warm and clean, with plenty of hot water from the tap shower head. It’s really comfortable. The next day breakfast was delivered to the room. The location is also good. It is very close to the night market street and Wanda. Recommended! !

GGuest UserThe environment is good, and it is relatively expensive in Yan'an. It is right next to the train station, which is very convenient and close to the city. However, because the hotel is too close to the train track, the noise from the high-speed train passing the station is still quite loud.
The front desk service is very good and very welcoming. Check out was quick enough. However, there is no disposable toilet cover, so it is recommended to improve it.
I didn't eat breakfast, so I can't comment. Overall, it's worth recommending.

We went into the room to put down our luggage and slept on the bed. The mattress is very comfortable. It is very soft and hard. Moderate, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, very convenient. It's really convenient to go downstairs for a meal after a break. There are delicious food nearby and it's also close to the hotel.
