This was my second stay at this hotel. If you would like to focus on visiting to panda base, I strongly recommend here. The owner understands English, he always cares guests and arranges everything on time/flexibly upon your request, so I proceeded my plan smoothly without loss of time. You can enjoy variety of delicious Sichuan food at the hotel and they are popular among guests. It's very quiet around, it was wonderful experience for me to stay hearing bird sounds and see fantastic foggy scenery in the morning. I believe you would enjoy atmosphere of Bifengxia!

This was my second time staying here in three months. I was connected with the owner on WeChat, so he arranged a car from Ya'an Station to the inn (70 RMB), and I told him that I wanted a cold beer when I got there, and he brought me one as soon as I checked in. Last time I was on the second floor, but this time I was on the fourth floor. When I checked in, the staff carried my suitcase up to the fourth floor. I don't make many trips a day, so I didn't mind being on the fourth floor at all. I was actually glad I was on the fourth floor. The room was clean, spacious, and very quiet. This was my third time at Ya'an Bifeng Gorge, and I was finally thinking about getting an annual pass, but when I sent the owner a photo of my passport and a photo of me holding it in advance, he paid for it for me. This is really amazing! For breakfast (additional charge of 15 RMB), they would ask you what you wanted the day before, and if the amount wasn't enough, they would flexibly bring out a variety of options. All the staff were friendly and wonderful! If I were to be greedy, I would say that shampoo, conditioner, and body soap would be fine if they were installed on the wall! I would like to stay here again the next time I visit Heifengxia. All the food is delicious!

I always stay at this hotel. I recommend it because it's in a great location, just a 3-minute walk from Ya'an Base. Meals are charged separately, but both breakfast and dinner are reasonably priced and delicious. Dinner is quite large, so I recommend sharing it with other solo travelers. The owner and staff are very kind and will also arrange transportation to and from Ya'an Station.

It's close to the panda base and the food is delicious. The room is clean, but the heating is weak and it's not warm. There was a heater so it was manageable. It's too hot when you sleep with the electric sheets.

Also, because it is in the mountains in summer, there are a lot of insects (unlike in Japan, the flies are huge. There seem to be no non-smoking rooms, but I was glad that the room didn't smell of cigarettes. There were slippers, sandals, and water in the room, and the air conditioner worked well.

I use this hostel every time I go to see the pandas at the Heifengxia Panda Base. The meals are always the same but always delicious. I think it's a casual, easy-going place to stay. They also arranged for our passports this time, which was very helpful. I plan to use this hostel again.

The location is great, right next to the panda base. The staff are very nice. However, it's old, so each room has various issues. The bathroom has poor drainage and it takes about 30 minutes to drain. If there are a lot of people staying, the shower becomes cold. The air conditioner is very noisy. There are no screens, etc. Also, the Chinese groups staying here are extremely loud.

I've heard that many people would like to stay here if there were more non-smoking rooms in the future, so I'd like to let you know. The boiled dumplings for breakfast were very delicious. The fried rice was so filling that I couldn't finish it, so I put half of it in a ziplock bag and enjoyed it as a lunch box for lunch. It was delicious even when it cooled down. However, it was a little sad when the only thing served was white rice dumplings with sweet bean paste like dessert. The taste was good, but I like to eat something salty in the morning, so I would have been happy with 5-6 white rice dumplings with noodles or porridge as the main course. I'm sorry that white rice dumplings look like they would be very time-consuming and difficult to make. I will definitely stay here again next time, so I look forward to it.

It's located deep in the mountains in Bifengxia Gorge, so it may be cold in winter, but electric blankets and throw blankets are provided for the beds. The air conditioning doesn't work, but the shower has plenty of hot water and was more than enough for me. Breakfast starts at 8:00 and is a huge serving for 15 RMB. There was so much I couldn't finish it, so I took the rest with me as a lunch box to eat at the Giant Panda Research Center Bifengxia Base. It's convenient to bring a ziplock bag. It's about a 3-minute walk to the Bifengxia Base. I think I'll use their services again next time I go to the base.
