Very beautiful and quiet hotel with nice garden. Location is perfect to explore the island. The hosts are very heplful and caring and prepare an excellent breakfast. The kids loved the pool and the cats. We stayed two nights. I would always come back.

Really loved this hotel. It is within 10-15 minutes walking from both ferries. Service is great- I received many great recommendations from the staff. The property is absolutely beautiful and breakfast is nice. They can also help to carry your baggage when you arrive or when you want to walk around before leaving.

Lovely hostel at the heart of Gulangyu Island, in a very calm and isolated little street, at 5 min walk from the beach. Nicely decorated room, and a big advantage of having a swimming pool to relax. The managers are very nice and share all the good tips about the island. That also organize luggage pick up and drop off from the ferry. Highly recommended !

We stayed two nights and loved our stay. We had a room with the balcony area and that was lovely. The room was finished to a high standard and lots of quality touches and care into the details. The hosts were fantastically friendly, helpful and accommodating even though we had no real Chinese and they had limited English. The Villa was in a quiet location on the hill away from the busy areas of town which meant it was quiet and peaceful in the evening and we hardly heard the other guests during our stay. They helped us organise the Ferry and had a porter ready when we arrived. They gave us a great recommendation for food that was so good we ate there both nights. We didn't use the pool as it was late January and a little cold but it looked great for a dip in warmer months. The only negative we had was the door lock and handle didn't work properly and so the staff had to help us close it each time we went in and out but they were very apologetic about it.

The villa yard is very simple, elegant and quiet, just like the style of Hayao Miyazaki's My Neighbor Totoro. The breakfast is also very good. The owner is elegant and easy-going. He also picked us up and showed us the way when we left. In short, it was a comfortable and relaxing time.

They also thoughtfully delayed check-out, and the bed was made so that we could rest after coming back from shopping. 👍👍 Breakfast was delivered to the room, hot and fragrant. The uncle who helped carry the luggage on the way to and from the island was very enthusiastic, and he would also introduce you to the attractions on the way. He answered all questions. My daughter was very happy and liked it. I have recommended it to many friends. I will choose Manwu again if I have the chance to come again.

Very satisfied. We started picking up and dropping off passengers and luggage from the pier. The roads on Gulangyu Island are really inconvenient for pushing suitcases. There is a swimming pool in the yard and the environment is quiet. It is very suitable for the theme of slow house. There are very few rooms for each theme. If I have the opportunity to come to Gulangyu next time, I will choose this one so that I can experience more rooms. The staff are also very enthusiastic and polite. It was a very good stay experience.

I have always been demanding about the service experience. The service of this homestay is very good. They will arrange personnel in advance. As soon as we arrive at Gulangyu Pier in the morning, someone will help us pick up our luggage and send it to the homestay, so that we can travel to various attractions on the island with light luggage, have fun during the day, and check in at the homestay in the evening, saving our time and energy. When leaving the island, the homestay also arranged personnel to help us send our luggage to the pier. So I want to give a big thumbs up to this thoughtful service of the homestay. In addition, this homestay will also recommend tourist attractions according to the location of the pier where we go to the island. Moreover, the homestay also recommends better restaurants, dessert shops, cafes, tea houses, etc. on the island. We went to eat according to the recommendations of the homestay and were very satisfied. We didn't step on the pit. We stayed in a two-room suite, which was clean and tidy, with complete toiletries, a large living room, a semi-open-air bathtub in the suite, and a swimming pool at the door of the suite. The landlord was quite considerate and prepared a bathtub set, which was hygienic and convenient. The breakfast was also good. It can be delivered to the room on time and it was comfortable to eat. The only drawback is that there is no socket at the bedside. It is recommended to install a socket at the bedside to facilitate charging of mobile phones before going to bed. It was a wonderful trip that cannot be replicated. If I say the best time was the afternoon that the boss lady "gifted" us. If I go to Gulangyu again, she will definitely not recognize me. I will go here again to find the shadow of the past.
