Initially not as terrible as I had feared despite the low price. The layer of dust I saw when leaving my luggage early (in some corner because there was nobody to talk to) was gone when I checked in later. Place was easy to find (first image, take the elevator to the 5th floor and you're there) and in a very local area. Nice eateries and a small mobile phones and accessories mall turning left then right when leaving the building. Huimin Street and Drum and Bell Towers in walking distance. Free water dispenser and plenty of space in the hostel despite the lack of power outlets at the workspaces. But there comes the problem. The voltage at the power outlet seems elevated, my charger melted and almost caught fire although I used it everywhere else in Asia as well as for several weeks in China already. Other chargers I tried at this place also got extremely hot. They put me in a separate room to prevent another bad review on the potential production of spit, noise, dirt and sometimes even cigarette smoke in the dorms. One bathroom even had a seat toilet. Obviously plenty of smoking in the common area.

The hostel is in a great location: in between two metro stations and very close to the Bell tower. I arrived at around 10 pm and found the entrance door shut and the shutter halfway down ( and was left like that even the morning: so low that I had to take off my backpack to get in). Long story short, we were let in by one of the guests we bumped into as he was trying to get out, as no one was at the reception ( although check-in is until 00) or was picking up the phone at the number provided. Again, following the guests’s suggestion, we  had to go to and knock on the door of one rooms in order to get someone.. The hostel is kinda run down, it has seen better days.  The reception was dirty with also ash on the floor and sigarette butts. The room was also quite untidy and dirty. The bedsheets I was given were clean but the mattress cover and the duvets had yellow stains on them, and hairs. I found crumbs under the mattress as I was making my bed. The en-suite bathroom has a hole in the lower half which is not great in terms of privacy, and there was no toilet paper. The heating seemed to be off, although it’s January. Although I do understand it’s incredibly cheap and therefore, I was expecting something really basic, maybe even not squeaky clean, here I decided to stay only the one night and change first thing in the morning. 

Very nice host, but the hostel itself has his problems maybe. The beda have no matress which is quite uncomfortable. But for the price its acceptable, also the thermostat is not heating. So in the common area you had to sit with jacket. Good value for money tho!

Good value for your money, but it is not the cleanest one. Bathroom is old and not that clean, and bed neither. Service was okay tho! But be sure to check-in after the check-in time, because I couldn't leave my luggage at the hostel when arriving early in Xi'an with the nighttrain.

For the location & the price in the off season, it is a great deal.

They were good at solving problems

The location is very good, right next to the Drum Tower, cost-effective, convenient to check in, very clean, slept very well, not bad! It is very convenient to travel to the Drum Tower, Bell Tower and Huimin Street!

You need to put on the quilt, pillow, and bed sheet by yourself. There are all kinds of hair on the quilt, the pillow is yellow and has hair, and there are biscuit crumbs on the mattress. At 2 o'clock in the middle of the night, a roommate got up to pack up or something and made a lot of noise. What's worse is that there are mosquitoes. I killed one and there were another. There were 56 in total. I was woken up at 2 o'clock, woken up by the cold at 4 o'clock, and then annoyed by mosquitoes until dawn.

Facilities: The private bathroom is large, the shower is very convenient, and you don't need to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk. Each bed has its own light, storage table and five-hole socket. Hygiene: Don't ask for too much. Environment: It is very close to Beidajie subway station. It takes only half an hour to walk to the railway station and less than 20 minutes to Sajin Bridge. Service: The boss has a very good attitude and helps to keep the luggage for free. He is busy and busy. Thank you. If I come to Xi'an next time and just need to catch a train, I will stay here again!

Facilities: OK, basically all public facilities, but the light on the bed I stayed in was broken, but the stay was short, so I didn't investigate it. Hygiene: The hygiene is OK, but it is closely related to the roommates, so it is difficult to evaluate, but the bed is clean. The boss also provides a clean four-piece set, which you need to make yourself Environment: The surrounding environment is OK, there is a place to eat downstairs, and the location is generally easy to find Service: The boss is enthusiastic and tells a lot of precautions, which is good Overall, it is recommended to stay, and I hope that the brothers and sisters who live here can work hard to finally find their dreams.

The shower head in the bathroom is a bit high, I hope it can be changed. The room space is good, but it's a pity that some roommates turned the multi-person room into a single room, occupying shared furniture and facilities. To avoid disputes, it may be necessary to allocate all facilities by bed numbers.

The location is very good. It's a five-minute walk to the Beidajie subway station. The room is large, the living room is also large, and there are two bathrooms. You don't have to worry about queuing for the toilet.

It's close to the Bell Tower and the Huimin Street, so it's convenient for sightseeing. There are cheap supermarkets and many restaurants for locals nearby, so you won't have any problems. The staff are friendly and will welcome you warmly.

The room was very clean, and the boss was very gentle and polite. The hotel is very close, with private and public bathrooms, and you can reach the clock tower in just a few steps. I will stay here again when I come to Xi'an in the future!
