Well situated,staff are polite and helpful. Comfy beds with a T.V to watch toilets and showers very clean......... highly recommend.

Lovely old-style hotel, recently renovated, very central and affordable 👌

First of all, the entrance is a staircase, so it is difficult to drag a suitcase. There was a Korean staff member at the desk, and he was very friendly. There is an elevator, but it is old, so I only used it to move luggage. I was on the 1st floor, so I felt like I was on the 2nd floor. There is a musty smell coming from the hallway. The desk in the room wasn't cleaned and there was food on it. The worst part was I never wanted to go to the bathroom again. There are two restaurants, but the one with a kitchen that we can use is the backpacker's kitchen, located past the desk. It's a little dirty here too You have to eat at another restaurant. The overall review is that the staff is friendly and the service is good, but it is very dirty.

It was a cute, retro, and very nice hotel. The receptionists were all very kind, so I highly recommend it!

Worst place to stay, they deleted all other reviews. Stayed there is july. Loud and day sleepers stay there. Worst place to stay. They drink and part all night. Don't put yourself in a bad state. I would never select thi is place. The staff at night didn't even hell properly. This would never help them

The worst accommodation ever. The hostel room option was falsely listed on ***********. I would give a minus zero score of this hotel. It is not worth the money and very noisy. The most ridiculous thing I have ever heard about is they charge three times of the room/ bed fee for deposit of possible damage of room amenities. Cannot say this is a little reasonable. The worst of the worst.

The Cambridge is a hotel that shows its age, with its threadbare carpets and a 'cage' style lift. The long, dingy corridor on our floor reminded me of the 1930s hotel in Barton Fink. That said, the place still has some old-world charm, aided by a pretty convenient location and excellent wifi. Our room was a bit of a tight squeeze, dominated by a king-size bed when a queen-size would have done. Bathroom was OK bar the skinniest hand basin I think I have ever seen. For those interested in self-catering, there is an excellent backpacker kitchen, clean and well equipped.

The Cambridge Hotel doesn’t have the greatest reputation in Wellington but I come here regularly and enjoy it’s down to earth atmosphere and attitude. You can have a great pint, enjoy the non-stop sport on TV and the food is pretty decent. Not a sophisticated evening out but you will get a friendly greeting and excellent service.
