Samosir Cottages Resort Reviews

I recently stayed at the Samosir Cottage on Samosir Island from November 29 to December 1, 2024. The room was spacious, a significant plus. However, the toilet area required attention, with ants present, as mentioned in previous reviews. While this was acceptable for me, it's an area for improvement. What truly impressed me was the exceptional service from the receptionist. They clearly explained options and kindly upgraded us to a bigger room. Their helpfulness and professionalism made a significant difference in our stay. We booked two deluxe rooms, but the first room had a smoke smell, prompting us to request a change or upgrade. Overall, while there's room for improvement in bathroom maintenance and mattress covers, the Samosir Cottage's spacious rooms and excellent service make it a solid choice for those visiting Samosir Island. Best location & great view of the Lake. Breakfast not many choice

Location is good, surrounding with local restaurants and mini mart for basic necessity. Swimming pools located at the back, facing the lake. Depends on the room located, mostly needs to go down or up, therefore it's not suitable for people has limitation to climb the stairs. Rooms is also basic, Breakfast is basic local food.

Very disappointed. Book 3 deluxe rooms with view but ended up get 3 rooms without view and very noisy at night . Shower with extremely 'Hot Water " and no cold water at all force to use bidet to shower. Breakfast choice not bad, good location. Photos attached was the view from room door.

Top place to stay when visit tuktuk. Lot of rooms and facilities. Service varies from budget choice to exclusive

Very nice place with a great breakfast and coffee/tea. Friendly staff. Got a good view from my deluxe. Prime location in the TukTuk peninsula.

The room was good and clean. But the breakfast was disappointing. There was little variety, and some dishes lacked flavor. The coffee and tea were cold.

Don't expect too much, the scenery is nice, and the hotel is comparable to low-end domestic budget hotels.

The location is very beautiful with a view of Lake Toba. The family room is very comfortable. The hotel design is very interesting. It can be a place of healing.
