Nicely maintained hotel. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Nothing to complain about. Also very helpful reception staff

I have only positive things to say about the Victoria Letterario, even after the shock during the check in. Upon arrival for check in, the reception staff told me that my booking was cancelled! I showed them the communication of trip.com 3 days earlier confirming my booking, which their system has not registered. Jorge, the concierge, was very apologetic and offered me the only room available that day which I accepted, while he will get in touch with the intermediary to find out what went wrong. It appears that trip.com and similar platforms purchase the beds in great numbers from a company hotelbeds.com- I went to my room and I came down with my iPad and I and Jorge got in touch with Trip.com via my account. Trip.com replied immediately, confirming my booking and promising that they will get in touch with hotelbeds.com. As it was already 7pm, Trip.com did no manage to get through the staff at hotelbeds. Trip.com advice that if hotelbeds.com did no reply or confirm the booking then I'll have to pay and Trip.com will refund me right away. I was happy with that. I stayed the 2 nights in the hotel, and only the morning of the day I checked out the hotel Victoria Letterario received finally the confirmation of the booking from hotelbeds. Trip.com was every effective in dealing with the issue and I'll use them again and Jorge, at the Victoria Letteriario dealt with the issue very professionally all they way through, so did the manager of the hotel too. Trieste is a small city, and you can walk from the hotel to the major landmarks in 20 minutes. I loved the decoration of the rooms, the bathroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The TV channels were all in Italian but I don't care much about the telly when I travel. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast, it has everything that a good hotel breakfast should have and more, namely its attentive staff. A five stars stay!!!

Welcoming and appropriate! Exactly what you would expect from a four-star hotel in the heart of a charming city like Trieste.

Elegant and welcoming structure, but located on a slightly decentralized and very busy street. The breakfast service needs to be improved in terms of variety and quality.

We arrived in the evening and parked in the hotel garage, a few meters from the entrance, but a bit narrow to enter with an SUV. We were impressed by the reading room with books for all tastes, available for customers. Good cleaning in the rooms. Rich breakfast. What we absolutely did not expect is that the rooms are divided internally by a door. We had the worst night ever. The soundproofing is terrible. Not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. Next to us was a young couple having wild sex with slaps and screams that would scare even a porn actor. They delighted us with screams and moans all night and morning. Every time I finally closed my eyes they would start again. Then at night around 3 even those upstairs started dancing on our heads with high heels. Horrible. And finally hard and uncomfortable pillows. My husband tried to go to their "gym" and it was not possible, because with one person inside it was already crowded. For the Spa you have to pay a supplement of 100 euros. For an orange juice and omelette you have to pay a supplement as well (even though we had breakfast included). Very disappointed. A shame because the hotel looked great on paper and at first glance.

Attentive reception, convenient parking facilities, excellent room cleanliness, and excellent breakfast service. If you are traveling to Trieste, Italy, it is definitely worth a visit. The location of the hotel is also not bad for sightseeing.

The reception was very friendly and courteous. All employees are competent and especially the employees at breakfast are extremely friendly and in a good mood. The rooms are spacious and nicely renovated. The garage/s are very close and the price for 24 hours is absolutely fine. A small hotel with a personal touch.

We liked the hotel a lot, it is a hotel with few rooms, the classic one is fair in size, but everything is very clean and decorated with great taste, very classic, the bathroom was small, it had a shower, but it had everything and everything was in perfect condition condition. At breakfast, we did not know that the hot dishes had to be ordered, it was not indicated and they did not offer it to us either, but seeing other customers order it, we also did it, except that, everything was very correct and the attention of the employees also.
