Hotels in Garden District, Toronto

The hotel is in the city center and the location is great. The front desk service was also excellent. The room was quite spacious. I stayed Friday night and checked out Saturday. Early Saturday morning, the fire alarm went off repeatedly. It scared me, and I wasn't sure what was happening, so I quickly grabbed my passport and wallet and went downstairs. Later, I found out it was just a drill. So early in the morning... I was really quite speechless.

It’s located right in downtown but at the same time close to Mosque street so it feels a bit unsafe to walk alone at night. Other than that, everything is perfect!

Abbiamo avuto un brutto impatto all’ arrivo,perché non avevamo ricevuto istruzioni per l’ ingresso e siamo rimasti ore fuori all’ edificio nell’ attesa di ricevere direttive, solo dopo aver contattato l’ assistenza trip sono riuscito a mettermi in contatto con la persona interessata che successivamente mi ha fornito il luogo e modo di ritirare le chiavi. L’ appartamento ci è piaciuto molto, la posizione è ottima e i servizi che forniva erano il massimo, siamo rimasti piu di un giorno senza acqua calda ma sembrava essere un problema dell’ edificio, certo l’ ho abbiamo scoperto solo sotto la doccia, potevamo essere avvisati in anticipo, diciamo che la pecca principale è la mancanza di comunicazione preventiva, comunque in generale siamo comunque rimasti soddisfatti e la sceglieremo comunque nuovamente se ci sarà occasione.

The room was spacious and clean, and the front desk service was decent. It's quite close to the city center, and Eaton Centre is within walking distance. My only complaint is that the heater was very loud; it got cold if you turned it off. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but it was enough to fill you up. It was the same every day, though. It would be great if they could vary it a bit and offer some vegetables!

Check-in was quite convenient, fully self-service. However, you need to submit your passport information beforehand, so make sure to check your emails promptly, otherwise you might miss something. The area felt very safe, and the facilities were quite new. It was clean and tidy. The price offers great value for money, and the room size was decent too.

Although the Pembroke Inn is an inexpensive hotel tucked away in a residential area of downtown Toronto, it is clean, quiet, updated and has excellent service. Rooms are small but are great for a solo travellers. No elevator and limited parking. Yet location was convenient for me for the price.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately made us feel at ease. During the Christmas period, the hotel even offered complimentary hot chocolate and churros, which was such a lovely festive touch and really added to the atmosphere. The facilities were excellent. There is a 24-hour gym, which is very convenient, and the swimming pool stays open until 10pm or 11pm depending on the day. Towels are also provided at the pool, so you do not need to bring your own, which is always appreciated. Overall, the staff were warm and attentive, and the hotel had a genuinely welcoming and festive atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our room's window faced the City Hall square, while some rooms on the other side had a view of the CN Tower. However, the window glass was quite dirty. The bathroom in our room was very small, and the towels were old and stiff, with no bathrobes provided. On the positive side, the hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence Market, and the CN Tower isn't far either. The hotel offers an à la carte breakfast, where you can order one item from each category on the menu. The salmon croissant sandwich was the best among them, but eating it for several days in a row became tiresome. A complaint about the housekeeping: it was fine on the second day, but on the third day, they didn't even replace the bath mat or coffee/tea bags. I wonder if it's because we didn't leave a tip. Also, the hotel has two buildings. We stayed in room 69 on the 11th floor of the annex building, directly opposite the ice machine, which was a bit noisy at night when people came to get ice.
