Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa Reviews

We always stay at Shinagawa Prince so this was our first stay but we absolutely loved it! We will definitely come back! Room: much more spacious than other Tokyo hotel with a balcony which is great to be able to open windows to get fresh air! And loved spacious bathroom with great amenities, felt like at home. Stuffs: very helpful and friendly stuffs who are willing to help us, appreciate check-in stuff’s flexibility for check-in time and room arrangements, thank you so much! Location: it’s a bit of walk with steep hill from Shinagawa station. But it’s still convenient as Shinagawa Prince Hotel is also 5mins away and there are some shops around and seven eleven at the downstairs. Garden: loved Japanese garden outside! On sunny fay it was great to be there to see the beauty of stunning Japanese gardens with beautiful some flowers and trees!

The room is very dated. They need to renovate. The garden is nice and balcony is nice. Location is also very good and near the subway station

The hotel lobby is grand with nice design and details. We went during cherry blossom peak season and Shinagawa area hotel seems more affordable compare with those in the heart of the city. Taking around 1 hour Narita express direct form airport to Shinagawa and walk for 10 mins to hotel. All together we stayed in this hotel 5 nights in 2 different room type in this trip. For this twin room, the room is big in Tokyo area with a small balcony. There is a working table and a small sofa for you to rest. Room is clean and hotel provided a lot of daily used stuff for us. They even provide bath salt which is the first time we see in Japan hotel. Bathroom is a bit old yet still clean. There is a garden that you can access direct from the hotel called "Takanawa Mori No Park". if you are staying in this hotel, can talk a bit of time to visit there. We went in April and we saw pretty sakura trees and the garden is well maintained and its a good spot for photos.

The room is comfortable. The washroom is big. Very convenient.

Good location just few mins walk to Shinagawa train station, can see Tokyo Tower if you get the room facing that direction

It’s near to JR Shinagawa Station and Shinkansen which is the main reason of me staying there for a smooth transfer to Osaka via Shinkansen within walking distance with all my luggage! Save time and hassle of squeezing in trains to get to Shinkansen station

Stay there for business trip. Good value for money and very big hotel. Required a bit of walking like 5-10mins from JR station up hill. Awesome garden inside is a must to visit during your stay!

There are a lot of cherry blossoms on the garden. The room is so big and so clean.

Big clean room but no space for clothes. No wardrobe at all.

I had an absolute blast staying at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa! The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was super clean and had everything I needed, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. But the best part was the view of their japanese garden - it was breathtaking! I’d definitely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to stay there again sometime!

Location not too far away from the train station. Quote a good location.

Second time to stay in this hotel, it's good as usual, except the attitude and knowledge of the checkin staff that handle my checkin this time is not good. But this is anomaly, as all other staffs are great. The room are bigger than usual hotel in tokyo, and facility and breakfast is also great. Would recommend to consider staying in this hotel.

the female staff has a very indifferent attitude, location is great. Room size is ok, considering it’s Tokyo. A bit old.
