Hotel Suntargas Ueno Reviews

For a budget hotel, I rate Hotel Suntargas “excellent.” My reasons: cleanliness, location (walking distance from metro and JR train, Ueno park, eateries, and shops.

Good location, easy access to Ueno station,. Even though typical budget hotel, little bit small. But feel comfortableto stay here

Very convenient location close to ueno station

The room is a bit small, especially the bathroom. But, I think it is regular size in Tokyo. The room is clean. Service is good. Staffs are friendly. Location is good.

Hard pillow, very small bathroom, noisy AC. However, quite a clean room and good location. Very good value if you are staying only 1 or 2 nights before heading to Narita Airport.

toilet is very small and so as the bath tub. there are two beds in the room but can't find space for opening two suit cases.

Good location near skyline and market

The location is very close to Ameyoko, which makes shopping convenient. You can take your purchases home and then go out to continue shopping.

The room is quite small, clean, very good location, near subway, JR and Keisei, near Ameyoko market.

It was much better than expected. The front desk staff was also very friendly. It is within a 5-minute walk from Ueno Station. There is a large food street around. Ueno is one of Tokyo's transportation hubs and is very convenient to go anywhere.

Good hotel, near shopping areas, food sources, convenience stores. The room is clean and not too small. Everything is complete. There is a coin-operated washing machine. But the corridor outside the room has a slight musty smell of carpet. Other than that, everything is good. Next time I come back, I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located near Ueno Station, and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel lobby also has beautiful Christmas decorations during the Christmas period. The coffee beans in the coffee machine in the hotel lobby are even better.

It's a ten-minute walk from Ueno Station and the surrounding area is quiet. It's just perfect for living alone. Just a traditional key

If you are traveling alone, this is the perfect place. You can quickly get to Ueno Station from Narita Airport by Skyliner and it is a 5-minute walk from the station. There are many stores run by Koreans near the hotel, and Lawson and Seven convenience stores are also 1 minute away. It is an old building, so you have to lock it with a key and the bathroom is small, but it is basically clean and tidy, and the staff are very friendly. Check-in is at 3pm, but you can leave your luggage in the lobby freely, and they even put a name tag in the staff room, so there is no risk of losing it. It is just one block behind the busy Ueno Station area, so it is quiet. There is almost no outside noise, but the soundproofing of the next room is a little weak. Still, I slept very comfortably for the entire 3 days I stayed there. There is air conditioning, TV, hair dryer, electric kettle, and bidet. The sink can control hot and cold water separately, and you can turn the lever to make it come out to the shower. When you ask for room cleaning in the lobby, if you say No Need!, you won't receive room cleaning when you go out, but instead, they will hang new towels in front of your door every day. It's not the quality of a luxury hotel, but in terms of cost-effectiveness and accessibility in the city center, this place seems to be the best. And there's an izakaya on the first floor of the hotel on the right across the street, so I recommend stopping by before going to bed. I had a great time traveling in Tokyo, so I'm leaving a good review~
