he hotel is extremely dirty. The wallpaper is damaged, everything is in need of renovation. There are strange stains and mold everywhere. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely no one. Japanisch: このホテルは非常に不衛生です。壁紙は破れており、全体的に老朽化しています。あちこちに奇妙なシミやカビがあります。誰にもここをおすすめしません。絶対に。

For ~£50 a night it wasn’t terrible. Room was clean and reasonably spacious, amenities provided and bed was big and soft. We did want to extend our stay by a night but the female receptionist was clueless, spent 10 minutes trying to find us in the paper system so we gave up and ended up going elsewhere.

The hotel is at a perfect central location in Kyoto, not far from Nijo Station (which connects to all the Kyoto train/subway lines) and similarly close to a couple of konbinis and supermarkets, which allows you to buy some food after returning from a long day of walking. At the same time, its central location makes it a great base to explore Kyoto in all directions. The room itself was spacious and clean (aside from some dust). The views from the room (8th floor) were also spectacular and very scenic during sunrises/sunsets. The reception staff was nice and helpful too. I will definitely stay here on my next trip!

Great Japanese hotel , clean and compact , location is close to JR, staff was friendly … simple no fuss.

Cozy place, 10mins walk from station. However there is not many restaurants nearby.

The service is quite good. Clean and near the public transport.

Hotel Livemax is not near the Kyoto station, need to take 30 mins to transfer.

The room is very huge. It has a 2 big beds that are very helpful since we have a lot of luggage to arrange. It’s also near the Nijo Castle.

A pleasant stay, it was just a bit of a walk to the nearest metro, the bed sheets weren’t the comfiest and the light switch next to the bed had a bright green light for reasons I’m unsure, other than that it was a nice stay.

This is a very nice little hotel not far from the mountains and also very close to Nijo-Jo Castle. The transportation links are excellent as buses stop right outside and the metro is a five minute walk away. I would highly recommend this to anyone on a budget.
