Beautiful place. Service is so so because you have to contact housekeeping through WhatsApp. Not very efficient. Food is ok. Not the best but not the worst too. Quite satisfactory. Can improve for sure. But definitely the best resort in Tioman hands down. Will go back for the view!

We chose Japamala Tioman for our wedding anniversary and this boutique resort did not disappoint. Service was impeccable from the time we were picked up at the ferry terminal at Kampung Genting until the time we left. Kudos to the manger Kenny and his team for their hospitality in making our anniversary memorable. Food was in general above average (dessert was fantastic) and some dishes were a bit salty as we don’t consume too salty food in our diet. We gave feedback and to our surprise the staff took it seriously as our subsequent dishes served weren’t as salty. The rooms are clean and the sea view fantastic, allowing us to take in the magnificent sunset views every evening. Not much to do, as this resort is more for guest to disconnect. Hiking to Batu Permata and to Kampung Genting was doable. Canoeing and snorkelling by the resort was great. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. Thanks Japamala!

We absolutely loved Japamala resort. We felt realy out of this world there, paradise. The view, the vibe, the staff all togeather created such an extraordinary feeling... days just went by so quickly.

A tropical paradise tucked in a private beach on Tioman island. We stayed 2 nights in the Sarang tree house, was treated with absolute warm and welcoming hospitality. Perfect for couples who wanna be “stranded” on an island getaway.

Overall the resort meets expectations, but can be improved when it comes to additional offers given the steep price of the rooms.

A very quiet resort hotel with considerate service and great food. Although the price of going out to sea is a bit more expensive than other local hotels, it is worth it to enjoy VIP service.

All rooms are wooden houses built on the same mountain, with a total of 16 rooms, very private, no children making noise. Help to clean the room 3 times a day, the room layout is very delicate, all using natural elements, the service is also very good. The Malay restaurant and the Italian restaurant are very delicious, highly recommended, much more cost-effective than Semporna. The sea water is super transparent, with all kinds of beautiful fish, and the hotel can snorkel.

We spent a week in this beautiful resort. We were very impressed by the friendliness of all the staff. Everyone gets along well with each other. The food is very good and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. They offer super fresh juices. The resort needs some maintenance in the outdoor areas. We would love to come back.

Japamala is a resort that I love so much that I am afraid to write a review for fear that more people will know about it and I won't be able to book it. Distinctive style design, private beach, wooden villas (large and comfortable enough), essential oil spa, barbecue, snorkeling; great breakfast; I have to mention that the staff from top to bottom are very friendly and polite. I came here with my friends for three days and two nights, and I will bring my family back. I recommend staying for 4-6 days to really enjoy the slow life.

The hotel is on a separate beach. Only the hotel's guests can enter the entire beach. The staff are also very enthusiastic. Every time they see you, they will greet you enthusiastically. The hotel's free breakfast is very rich and delicious. It's a pity that the weather was bad and we didn't go snorkeling. But when we left, we saw a lot of fish at the hotel's pier. It was very suitable for snorkeling. The captain was also very enthusiastic. There are trees behind the hotel, and there are a lot of small ants.
