Absolutely superb service, food, and experience. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the room was peaceful, beautiful, and onsens, both gendered and private, are tranquil. Breakfast and dinner were beyond thoughtful and wonderful, featuring local ingredients and a different menu every day. Truly, the perfect experience.

Very good onsen, solid meals

The staff here don't speak much English, but they really try their best to help and accommodate your needs, especially the enthusiastic and lively woman at check-out who pointed out the bus stop. The hotel doesn't have a shuttle bus to Kamikochi or Shin-Takaho in the summer. Traveling for two is quite affordable. This time, we stayed in the duplex loft, the Fushoucao. The hotel only has two rooms. Across the street are the hydrangeas, a symbol of summer in Japan. 🤭🤭 The hotel has two private baths (small and beautiful in the first picture, large and spacious in the second) and two public baths (one for men and one for women, picture 3). The private bath in the first must be stunning in autumn, with its maple leaves. However, I think the public baths are cleaner because they're less crowded. Both breakfast and dinner were quite good. You can sample three drinks at dinner and choose one. The menu isn't fixed, and if something is missing, they'll replace it. On the first night, we mentioned why the tofu listed on the menu wasn't available, and they said it was out; however, it was immediately replaced the next morning. Overall it's good but the taste is inconsistent. For example, the skin of the grilled fish is very salty, but some dishes are very bland. However, they are all healthy and have the taste of the dishes themselves. I personally prefer breakfast, and the miso is very good. 😋

Service: Very good. You can drive to any location between Hirayu and Shinhotaka before 10 am. You need to make an appointment with the front desk the night before. Traditional Japanese hot spring hotel, booked a room with private bath, the room does not have a separate bathroom, there was a shower next to the private bath on the balcony, I felt that I could not take a shower and would freeze to death, so I had to go to the big bath to take a shower~ The service was very thoughtful, very traditional Japanese feeling, but English was not very good, this is also very traditional Japanese hahaha. The food was very delicious. I have been to Japan so many times, and I can say that this is the best one-night-two-meals meal. It is exquisite and lasts until the next day hahaha The hot spring is still very comfortable, but the only drawback is that there is not much good scenery, because it is a hot spring hotel on the roadside, it is blocked by a fence, and the open-air bath can only look at the sky, but the stars are very bright, it is still very good. Overall, it is worth the money, recommended! PS. People call it Yamanogojuku, not Inoyama Hat😹

Everything was fine, but after checking out in the morning, the general or other waiters did not see us out the door and thank us. This service is not like a Japanese hotel. I hope the hotel can pick up the service next time I go there.

It's best to arrive before 6:30 in the evening. We were an hour late, but the store still waited for us and we had a delicious dinner. In addition, the name of the hotel is not Yuanshan Hat Hotel, but Xiangmengzhi. It is recommended to correct it.

It is far away from Takayama Station, but there are direct buses that take about one hour and fifteen minutes. This hotel is clean and tidy, with two private baths, pure Japanese style, and a large room. When you sleep at night, you feel like you are at the ****** scene in Detective Conan. There is also a natural park around, which is very beautiful. It is very dark at night, so it is not suitable to go out and wander around. It is a suitable place for a one or two day trip.
