Pet friendly Hotels Taipei

I went to Taiwan on May Day and stayed in the newly opened Capella Hotel in Taipei for two nights. I would like to share my experience with you. The hardware environment of the hotel is first-class. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I could feel Capella's consistent high-end aesthetics and quality standards. The reception hall on the 14th floor is grand and stylish. The living room has both check-in and lounge functions. Whether it is checking in, meeting guests or resting, it is very decent. The atmosphere is full and the details are luxurious. The breakfast is great, worthy of the standard of a luxury hotel. Finally, after Tokyo Park Hyatt, I saw a hotel breakfast with blueberry and strawberry, which directly added points. Capella breakfast includes champagne. It was champagne oysters early in the morning. I felt a little dizzy~ Taiwan's local specialty breakfast includes egg pancakes, beef noodles and porridge. The iced latte is unexpectedly delicious. Taiwan's beverages are really amazing! However, this stay experience was not satisfactory in terms of software services. It may be because it was newly opened. The room service response speed was extremely slow. When you need something urgently, you often have to wait for a long time, which affects your mood. Because of government regulations, the room is not equipped with any disposable toiletries. Although it is understandable, it always feels like the policy is used to prevaricate the service. When you actually check in, you need a shower cap and toothpaste, and you have to call again and again... The service response is slow, which is somewhat inconsistent with Capella's high-end positioning. What makes me most dissatisfied and worried is the problem of the swimming pool. The hotel has only one outdoor swimming pool on the 14th floor. My husband went to swim at 8:30 in the morning and returned to the room with severe discomfort. His heart rate soared to 160 and he didn't recover all day. The reason is that the water temperature of the swimming pool is too high, which has exceeded the normal body temperature of 37 degrees. This is not swimming but soaking in a hot spring, but there is no lifeguard in the swimming pool, which poses a great safety hazard. The communication with the foreign manager was fruitless, and he only kept saying: ”Thank you for your advice and provide us with valuable advice~ Our lifeguard only starts work at 8:30.” Shouldn't there be lifeguards when the swimming pool is open? There is no display of key information such as water temperature, water acidity and alkalinity, and water monitoring report of the day next to the swimming pool. Guests cannot understand the water quality and water temperature of the swimming pool and it is difficult to use it with peace of mind. In general, the hardware environment of Capella Taipei is indeed excellent, but many problems with software services affect the overall stay experience.

Absolutely loved it! 10/10!! From the hotel design and customer service to the room quality, everything was perfect! This hotel is great for people who like to social. They regularly host events at The Social (see photos). We booked the room with a King sized bed. The room was much more spacious than we thought. There was even a balcony! The Japanese-style bathtub was amazing too. And since the hotel just opened last year, everything is relatively new. The little things that count: - Over 10 sockets with built in adapter - Room can be 99% dark - Really comfortable slippers - Consistent water temperature for the showers - Strong hair dryer - A large variety of amenities - Well-maintained gym While I love the mood and vibe of the room, it might not be suitable for people who need to work as the lighting might not be sufficient. Once again, I don't guarantee that you will have the same experience but I will definitely come back and highly recommend it to everyone! Bonus: The restaurant (Texas Roadhouse) on the G/F has great service and quality food too! But since there are limited breakfast choices, I wouldn't recommend you get it every day if you're staying for long.

The service is top notch, I would said it’s the best service from all the staff in the hotel. They were very helpful and attentive, arrange all our massage booking and also restaurants… We actually had small accident during our cycling activities.. The hotel was very well prepared with all the safe aids and the staff is professional enough to help us to the cleaning and apply med on the injuries..they also have very nice cocktails bar with very good drink in the hotel .

It’s clean and the bed is great. I’ll stay here again next time I have a chance. The place is convenient. There’s a movie theater nearby and a lot of food for reference. Don’t worry about not having anything to eat if you’re hungry in the middle of the night.

Check in time at 5pm and it was way too late. Location wise is a bit far when you have to push your big luggages on the street as there are 2 traffic lights that required pedestrian to wait quite awhile when crossing the road. Another small street has no traffic light, pedestrian just need to watch out while crossing. Subway Exit 5 no need to cross a street. However, Exit 6 needs to cross a street. The room was spacious but only basic amenities like shampoo, towels, toilet paper and 2 bottles mineral water were provided in the room. Then only I realised some light snacks and breakfast like bread were provided. Water dispenser, coffee and tea sachets were provided outside the room. There was instant food vending machine in the hotel. I saw a laundry room but never went inside. There was a supermarket downstairs and quite convenient. But due to privacy, the room will only be cleaned if hotel guests informed hotel front desk. Then room key need to be given to front desk then only the room will be cleaned. I informed the front desk as after 1st night my rubbish was not dumped and room was not cleaned. The next day I informed front desk to clean my room. However, only rubbish was dumped but floor and toilet was not cleaned at all. I got a shock and just kept quite. Then I realised the hotel had few choices for hotel guests to choose which types of cleaning required. Which I later discovered but not truly understood. This is weird practice. As I paid for few nights stay in many hotels, the housekeeping staff will clean the room thoroughly without being told specifically where to clean. Hence, I stayed in the same room with dirty floor and wiped the toilet floor myself for few nights. I was a bit disappointed with the housekeeping service provided by this hotel. Front desk staffs were friendly and light snacks, light breakfast and coffee/tea sachets were provided plentiful.

- Bedroom 4/5 The bed is quite hard - Bathroom 5/5 Clean, has a bidet and a bathtub. The water pressure on the shower head may not be that strong, but it's okay, not bad. The hot and cold water buttons work well, but the room we got seems to have the hot and cold sides wrong. Normally, the red side should be hot, but when we turned the button to the red side, it was very cold (that's why the previous reviewer said the water heater was broken. Actually, it wasn't broken, but they had the wrong button 😹) - Cleanliness 5/5 The picture may look yellow, but the room is bright, white, and clean. - The refrigerator is a bit old, but it's still cool. - Location 3/5 Quite far from the MRT, about 10 minutes walk. The staff are lovely and provide good service.

The overall attitude of the counter service staff is good, and it is quite close to the MRT station... so you can hear the sound of the MRT passing by. If someone on the corridor makes a loud sound, it will also be heard in the room, and the sound insulation is slightly poor.

The mountain scenery is beautiful, and the real sulfur smell of hot springs, the room space is large, there is no TV, the hotel said to give guests more time to enjoy nature, overall good!

The place exceeded our expectations – very spacious and impeccably clean. The landlord has carefully prepared the property to make it feel like a second home for the tenants. They were responsive and helpful throughout our stay. This neighborhood has excellent MRT public transportation connections and a variety of Michelin-recommended restaurant dining options. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and could easily imagine a longer stay considering the facilities and services provided. They have elevators, towels, washers and dryers, and shower gel. They are very close to the famous attraction 101, as well as the famous night markets and the World Trade Center. It is so convenient!!!
