This is the pinnacle of luxury wilderness resorts in China, a secluded haven tucked away on the Mingshi River. The hotel provides a great selection of drinks and snacks, and the pillow mist was fantastic~ With only 53 rooms, the hotel is quiet and uncrowded. The architecture subtly blends into the peak forests and rice paddies, avoiding over-commercialization. Even the basic room types start from 80sqm, featuring panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony. You can enjoy views of the mountains, rivers, and clouds right from your bed, and the hammock on the balcony creates a perfect atmosphere for watching the sunset. The riverside infinity pool is a must-try – the photo opportunities with the mountains and water in the background are stunning! Also, don't miss the private bamboo raft afternoon tea. It's a great way to avoid the crowds, float along the Mingshi River, enjoy tea, and admire the peak forests, adding a touch of ceremony to your trip. The dining offers authentic Zhuang-style cuisine, and you can enjoy drinks under the stars while watching the sunset. Our butler, Pelina, was attentive and professional, providing excellent service without being intrusive. The hotel is also not far from Detian Waterfall. This is perfect for those looking for a slow-paced vacation. I recommend staying at least 2 nights to truly unwind.

We had a lovely stay at Mingshi Yaju Hotel. The hotel staff were kind and accommodating. The buffet breakfast was tasty and there was enough variety to choose from. The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The amenities inside were great too. We made use of the gym and the pool. During our second day, the hotel let us use their bicycles to explore around Mingshi. Overall the experience was relaxed and enjoyable. Unfortunately there was a little bit of construction happening nearby, but it didn’t generate too much noise and in the evening everything was quiet and peaceful. For dinner was chose not to eat at the hotel, but rather to explore the restaurants around just outside of the park area. I had a great time and would recommend to friends.

Extremely satisfied with this guesthouse! I initially chose this location because the electric scooter parking at Yu Lin Ba (Fish Scale Dam) costs money, so I figured I'd stay here, see the dam, and then rent a scooter. That turned out to be a great decision – the location is incredibly advantageous, and currently, this guesthouse offers the best value and is the prettiest in the area. The hotel rooms come with washing machines, there's a 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop, and a kids' pool downstairs. What really stands out is how attentive they are to every detail. Every corner is spotless. When I went to the Sky Mirror at noon, an auntie even specially cleaned the glass. The swimming rings by the pool were all nice and new, not tattered at all. The room also had a Tmall Genie, and the cleaning was impeccable. I arrived early, and they opened one room for me, and I practically watched them prepare the adjacent one. When we checked in, the staff immediately took photos of our license plate to link it to the parking system. The service was incredibly thoughtful, and we even received brown sugar as a parting gift when we checked out. A truly delightful stay!

I did a lot of research online before coming to Chongzuo, and it turns out choosing Mingshi Courtyard was an incredibly smart decision! First, the facilities are excellent. The room is huge, with a split-level design. Downstairs is the living room and bathroom, and a balcony with views of the garden and pool. Upstairs is the bedroom, a very reasonable separation of living and sleeping areas. Crucially, there's almost no light pollution or noise, which is truly rare and wonderful. Secondly, the service is outstanding. Many hotels offer butler service groups, but the Mingshi Courtyard's butler was the most responsive I've encountered. From golf cart transfers and addressing requests to providing directions and more – during my four-day stay, every single staff member I met was smiling, warm, attentive, and patient. It felt like they all owned the place themselves. The management is truly impressive! Finally, and the biggest perk, is how convenient it is to stay at Mingshi Courtyard for exploring Chongzuo, given its proximity to Mingshi Scenic Area. It's actually located *inside* the Mingshi Scenic Area, allowing for an immersive experience of the pastoral scenery. It's also super convenient for visiting Dao Na Li Cafe, Detian Waterfall, and Dongna Yuwan. You can even borrow bicycles from the hotel and cycle through the fields, which is incredibly relaxing! They even gave us organic rice and other souvenirs when we left. I really wanted to write them a good review, hoping more people will discover this high-quality hotel!

The location is good. Just 300 metres to the official Mingshi scenic area and the Tourist Centre. There are shuttle buses at the Tourist Centre to Detian Waterfall every day at 8.30 am, 12 pm, and 4 pm at 15 Yuan per person. There are also return shuttle buses from Detian Waterfall to Mingshi. Staying at Kongshan Xiaozhu, we can enter the official Mingshi scenic area for the 8pm night performance by showing the card given to us by the boss. Travelling to Kongshan Xiaozhu is very convenient by coach from Nanning Xixiangtang Bus Station. The driver will drop you at the roadside just 1 min walk to Kongshan Xiaozhu. Return to Nanning is also the same. The driver will pick you up at the roadside.

The area is beautiful. The tent and tent area are very nice. My kids loved it! The receptionist Li Lin 李霖 and the rest of the team are very nice and helpful. Beds are comfortable. The pillow was too high for me, but my husband didn’t complain. If you are light and sound sensitive when sleeping, then bring earplugs and sleeping eye mask, because is a tent, of course. The tent I booked was very comfortable in size for two adults and two kids. It had two queen beds and one single bed. There is tv and amenities (shampoo&Co, toothbrush, shaving kit, hair dryer). Breakfast was Chinese style buffet, which we are happy with. The restaurant belongs to another hotel in the same area (there are several hotels in that park). You can order bbq set. Nice quality meat and veggies. I would recommend this camping area for any family with kids. There is a playground area as well and is nice to walk through the trees.

This hotel is located in a small town next to Mingshi Garden, offering a peaceful and comfortable stay despite being in a lively area. The room was spacious and well-equipped, with beautiful views both from the window and within the courtyard. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable; I slept soundly for three nights, not even waking up during a thunderstorm and rain! We happened to be there during the Dragon Boat Festival, and the hotel arranged a Zhuang minority choir, glutinous rice cake making, and bamboo pole dancing, which was a wonderful cultural experience. They even put turmeric in the glutinous rice cakes, which was a nice touch. The pool was a bit shallow, and the water was very clear underground water, which was a shame I didn't dare go in. The projector in the room was great for watching movies when it rained and we couldn't go out. However, finding an ashtray in the room was a negative point; allowing smoking indoors is quite outdated. The chef's bone fish and dragon's whiskers dishes were both good, but a bit too salty. Breakfast was a little monotonous.

The room view is great, with fields and mountains right outside the window. Waking up to this scenery in the morning is incredibly relaxing and therapeutic. The hotel's location is convenient; it's a 40-minute drive from Mingshi Scenic Area to Detian Waterfall. Environment: Clean and hygienic, and tidied up daily. The innermost room on the third floor also has good soundproofing. The morning rice noodles were excellent; I finished the whole bowl, soup and all. The fried dough sticks were also delicious and very crispy. The old ginger and brown sugar drink was also very good. Highly recommended! 👍🏻

As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I felt the warm and thoughtful service of the proprietress and the service staff. They prepared afternoon tea for us on the day of check-in, and the food in the hotel was particularly delicious. I didn't expect that the best meal I had out of the hotel was not in a restaurant, but here. You can tell by the way we finished every dish.

The room facilities, though a bit dated, were very well-maintained and clean, showing the hotel's dedication. The hotel is located near the Guichun River within the scenic area, offering views of the Vietnamese people across the river, though the barbed wire fence is a bit of a letdown. However, the hotel's garden restaurant is an absolute disaster—the food is unappetizing and truly awful. I'd recommend eating before you check in or returning to the hotel to rest after you've had a meal elsewhere.
