WWoxihuanchijizhaoI've been wanting to stay at this hotel for a year, and it just so happened that everyone's schedules aligned! Plus, there were only three rooms left, so I immediately booked them! It took over 2 hours to get here from Nanning, and although it was a bit of a long drive, the scenery was absolutely beautiful~ Both the Chinese and Thai restaurants at the hotel were delicious! The kitchen really knows what it's doing. I loved the room's decor, and the views were fantastic! A big thank you to our butler, Jolly, for taking such great care of us these past few days! She was always responsive and the extra services she provided were excellent. All the hotel staff were very friendly and greeted us proactively. Having stayed at many luxury hotels, I truly think this one is exceptional, and I absolutely loved it! My friends felt the same way. The room's minibar was well-stocked, which makes sense since it's quite secluded in the mountains, haha. We received complimentary welcome fruit every day, which was a very generous touch, and there was also fruit in the common areas for guests to help themselves to. The hotel offers quite a few activities, such as fishing, playing billiards, feeding animals, batik dyeing, and Chinese chess! I hope to come back and experience it again during the autumn and winter seasons!

The hotel owner, Shaowei was there to help us in every possible way. She brought us to see the panoramic view of Mingshi Tianyuan with her own expenses. She also took us to another place to watch native people’s dance, sing and bonfire after dinner. She also helped me to catch a local bus to another town. Her kindness was simply beyond my expectations. If I come back to Mingshi, the reason will be not the town itself, but Shaowei.
2. Flawless cleanness
Everything looked to be built just now. Clean, comfortable and tidy. No smell of cigarette or whatsoever.
3. Decent breakfast
Breakfast is simple but the taste is good. You can enjoy rice noodle, rice porridge and fruits with good tea and soy milk.
4. Great location
The hotel is located close to the bus station and you can get on any local bus passing by easily. Good restaurants are everywhere nearby as well.

DDahuzilaodieI booked Changliu Shanjuan a bit hesitantly, but when I arrived, I was absolutely blown away. The first thing that catches your eye is the hotel's scenery, which, as Zhi Sheng put it, is ”absolutely stunning.” The hotel's decor is also very unique, beautifully showcasing the Zhuang ethnic culture. The hotel also launched a variety of activities for the May Day holiday, keeping us busy and entertained all day, and my child had a blast. Now, I want to talk about the most important aspect, and the one that left the best impression on me: the dedication of all the hotel staff. It's more than just being diligent; it's the genuine feeling that every single staff member, even the cleaning ladies, would greet me with a sincere ”hello” as they passed by. Their smiles were truly genuine, and their tone was so pleasant. It was far more comforting than the formulaic service and stiff smiles you often get at star-rated hotels. It gave me an indescribable sense of comfort. They even gave us a souvenir when we left. I will definitely be recommending Changliu Shanjuan to any friends thinking of visiting Chongzuo.

It's very close to the town's pedestrian street, where you can find breakfast and local specialties. The owners are very friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserShanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse may sound unassuming, but stepping into the rooms is a pleasant surprise. First, the cleanliness is impeccable; the beds and rooms are spotless, comparable to a five-star hotel. Second, the service is excellent. The owner is very welcoming and responsive to any questions. When we couldn't find Yushui Dam while driving there, he kindly suggested we call him – a truly kind gesture. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the scenic area entrance, easy to find, and very quiet at night. It even has an elevator, which is rare for a guesthouse. The rooms are particularly noteworthy – each one is large and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of the scenic area. I couldn't resist taking several photos. The curtains are automatic, the toilet is a smart toilet, and the bedding is excellent. There's also a table, two chairs, and high-quality toiletries, a hairdryer, and slippers. Having traveled extensively and stayed in various hotels of all levels and star ratings, I feel that Shanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse offers a five-star experience at an economy price. All 14 of us in our group were extremely satisfied.

GGuest UserIt is in the same park as the Old Kapok Hotel. It is very easy to get there after turning right out of the Detian Waterfall parking lot. I checked in during the Chinese New Year. The hotel was so popular that I set a reminder to book it. I was originally going to book a room at the Old Kapok Hotel, but I found that booking an RV was the right choice after staying there. The RVs are very new, with a large bed and a bunk bed that can accommodate four people, and the bunk beds can accommodate adults. There is a barbecue shop at the entrance of the RV camp. Barbecue at the entrance of the RV at night is unique. The main disadvantages come from the Old Kapok Hotel. The hotel is relatively old, and the breakfast is extremely mismatched with the hotel level. I can only say that if you don't mind the taste, you can eat enough.

GGuest User1. The service was absolutely fantastic, from the front desk staff to the cleaning aunties. Their warmth felt genuinely sincere, not just a professional facade.
2. The environment is great, with a very large backyard that includes playground facilities, a swimming pool, a cinema, and relaxation areas. My child particularly loved the table football and played for a long time, having a blast.
3. The scenery is beautiful; just by opening the curtains, you're greeted with karst topography. Sitting on the windowsill, enjoying the view, and having a short rest, I could easily spend an entire afternoon there.

GGuest UserThe day I stayed, Tian Shan Zhuang was fully booked, so I was really glad I chose Ming Shi Mountain Villa instead. If you're planning to book here, make sure to do it early! The location inside the scenic area is unbeatable, making it much quieter than hotels outside on the main street. The rooms on the second floor have a shared corridor where you can sit and have tea, which is perfect for families traveling together. Since the hotel is right inside the scenic area, it's incredibly convenient to get around, and there are even separate security-controlled entrances where you just show your room card to go in and out.
We opted for the package that included a bamboo raft experience. I personally found this raft trip more comfortable than the ones in Guilin – our whole family fit perfectly on one raft. Sipping tea and enjoying the scenery was incredibly relaxing, and there were even interactive spots along the way, which was a nice surprise. The older folks especially loved it. In the evening, the hotel also hosted a bonfire party, which had a lively atmosphere filled with laughter. It was a wonderful experience all around.

EEatPrayTravelLocation of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a little far from Chongzuo but you can hire a Didi for about 380RMB from the chongzuo train station. The hotel is located in a beautiful park where you can take a walk and see the 100 doors (I think it was called) and walk all the way to the border post 3. It's was surreal. Across the river you can see Vietnamese house and people. we waved. a drone showed up we left. To go to the waterfall we walked from the hotel to the tourist center. About a 45 minute walk. Not bad once you get there.
The hotel is old and starting to show the tear. You can tell it was once great but no renovations have been made in forever. The carpet had stains on it. not tiny ones. The little mini balcony was dusty. The bed was big but on the hard side. The towels are frazzling it was unbelievable. The breakfast , if you are not full on on Chinese breakfast its a no no. AND no coffee EVEN though the COFFEE MACHINE looked like it had just been plugged off. sign sating being fixed. come on .It's a 4 diamond rating but it felt more like 2. It's also smaller than it links in the video and pics. There's an awesome restaurant at the entrance on the right. It made a whole lotta difference. Highly reccomend eating here. And we did!Twice. Food was not bad. definitely order the ribs. The staff is nice especially the restaurant lady.
