You guys, seriously! I've struck gold at Dongjiang Lake! After staying at Atour Resort Dongjiang Lake, I immediately pushed my return ticket back by 3 days 😭
The moment I got out of the car, I was blown away by the Huizhou-style courtyard at the entrance! White walls and dark tiles covered with vines, a thin mist drifts in the morning, making it feel like stepping into a scholar's academy from a period drama. The hotel even offers free Hanfu and oil-paper umbrellas! Just standing by the pavilion, you can take stunning ancient-style photos without any filters 📸 The public areas are full of surprises: you can cozy up in the sunlit book bar all afternoon, the stargazing bar lets you see the Milky Way at night, and the pool seamlessly connects with Dongjiang Lake, making swimming feel like floating in a landscape painting. Every photo taken is guaranteed to be a hit on WeChat Moments 💦
Listen to me! You MUST choose a lake-view room! Pulling back the curtains instantly cures you with a 180° lake view, and the tea table by the window is perfect for daydreaming. Brew a pot of local green tea and watch the sun slowly rise from the lake, even the wind carries the sweet scent of the lake water 🍵 The room details are incredibly thoughtful: a separate wet and dry bathroom, a Bluetooth music system, and some room types even have a balcony bathtub! Fill it up at night and soak while watching the sunset paint the lake red – all the day's fatigue just melts away.
The service deserves 100 points! The front desk lady proactively upgraded my room for free and even gave me a Dongjiang Lake travel guide. She even looked up the best time and location for 'morning mist photos' that I casually mentioned 🌅 The breakfast buffet in the morning is incredibly rich, with noodles, pastries, and fruits galore. After eating, it's a 5-minute drive to the Dongjiang Lake scenic area, super convenient for seeing the misty Lesser Dongjiang. If you don't want to rush your itinerary, taking a stroll along the hotel's riverside path also gives you a high chance of encountering the morning mist.
I've also dug up some nearby activities for you! Go to Gaoyiling during the day to see the red Danxia landforms, enjoy the lake breeze at Bailang Scenic Area in the afternoon, and return to the hotel in the evening for fresh salmon sashimi that melts in your mouth 🐟 Staying here makes you truly understand what 'vacation' means. All the anxiety and stress of city life are healed by the wind of Dongjiang Lake and the warmth of this hotel.

TTaaaFirst of all, let me say that the whole decoration is in the classic old money style and looks very grand.
There is a canteen in the lobby on the first floor, and there are many swimming children passing through.
The service attitude is very good. They will greet each other in the elevator
I don’t know why. Breakfast is in a hall on the third floor, but the circulation is not well designed. There is a rice cooker in the corner. I didn’t even see it.
Let’s talk about the equipment in the room. What I want to complain about is the location of the faucet in the shower. If the water pressure is too high, water will fly everywhere and spray towards the glass door. I suggest you switch it. If you turn it off and on in the middle, it will be out of control.
I also found that the sheets had holes in them.
As for the bedside switch, it looks like it has black marks and is dirty. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s been difficult to wipe off over time.
The environment and view are very good. The square dancing and singing from 7 am to 23 pm is quite lively.

The hotel is very close to the scenic area; we bought tickets at Xiaotiantai to go to Wuzhifeng, and the scenery was beautiful. It's a bit of a shame we missed the rime.

Room is lovely and cozy, ac works well, bed is comfy, everything works well except the toilet is easily stuck, and some corners are dusty.
Includes breakfast but gotta walk 8-10 mins. So I skip it.

Children like the indoor swimming pool very much, but they need to pay more attention to hygiene. The cleaners only cleaned the bottom of the pool, and I had to ask someone to clean the side of the pool myself. I was so exhausted after climbing the mountain that I had to wait for a full hour before someone came to help me clean the pool again.
The view on the side of the hotel is very good, but the wifi is not good. The customer service said to call someone to come and see, but no one came after waiting all night. The children were so stuck watching TV that they didn't want to watch anymore. It is mainly designed for the rich. The nearby leisure hall turns off the lights before 10 o'clock and closes the door to drive people out and ask them to participate in activities. There is a sky library that says it only provides services for chairman of the board and the like.
In short, the hotel environment is good and the service has numerous flaws. I hope it can be improved.
