Good location, service and breakfast

location for this hotel is amazing, just steps away from the lake and good food. also had free bikes for you to use for a bike ride around the lake. the rooms were good sized and well maintained the onsen was alright, found the meals a little disappointing in terms of quality but loved the free flow sake and beer at dinner if this is your thing.

I booked it by chance on Trip.com, and I was satisfied with the hot springs, the food, and the location. Maybe it was because it was a weekday and the price was cheap, but I'm very satisfied because I had a good experience and learned about a good hotel.

It is a time-honored hotel, and it is also a chain hotel of Itoen. Both the interior decoration and the rooms can be seen to have aged, but they have been maintained well. The open-air bath on the top floor has a panoramic view of Lake Suwa. The water temperature is also good and the bath is very comfortable. The breakfast tastes good, offering both Western and Japanese flavors, with plenty of choices.

It’s hard to believe that this is a three-star hotel in Japan. The hygiene of the rooms is very good. The environment of the lobby is very beautiful. The courtyard is very beautiful. The facilities are very complete. In addition to the guest rooms, the floor I live on also has karaoke (free of charge) and other entertainment facilities. There are two hot springs. Soup, an open-air view is very good. In winter, the water temperature indoors will be higher than open-air. Breakfast and dinner are very cost-effective even if you buy them separately. The Japanese buffet tastes very good and the service is very good. Although the front desk does not speak English, I am very willing to order. It's a pity to bring friends here for the first time and stay in a triple room alone.

The hot springs are real, but the place where you can soak in them is just average. The room is big and clean. We stayed in a Japanese-style room with tatami, which can accommodate three or four people without any problem.

The location is good, close to Kamisuwa Station and Lake Suwa. If you use the Swan Bus, it's right next to Onsen Street. The lobby overlooks the Japanese garden and has a relaxing atmosphere, and there is also a welcome drink bar. This may have been because it was a weekday, but since the inn had a small number of rooms, the baths weren't crowded, so I was able to relax and have the bath all to myself. The observation bath had a clear view of Lake Suwa and was beautiful both day and night. However, it is cold in winter, so be careful. The hot water in the indoor bath is thick and leaves your skin smooth. Viking has a two-shift system, so there are plenty of seats, and even if I arrived late, I was never told that there were no seats available. Replenishment was also very frequent. I had a hard time making a reservation because it was often fully booked, but I'm glad I was able to stay this time.

I used it for the holidays in November 2023. Since it was a last-minute plan, there weren't many accommodations available, but Aburaya Ryokan was open, so I made a reservation. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations, but when I stayed there, I was glad that I had a very comfortable stay. The next day, I wanted to leave by 8:00, so I was thinking of having breakfast early, but I was told that there would be two breakfasts, one from 7:00 to 8:00 and one from 8:00 to 9:00. When I checked with the front desk, it seemed like they had managed to find a space and I was able to have breakfast starting at 7:00. (Thank you very much for that part.) We had a great time and made some great memories. I would also like to use it if I have the opportunity.

I made a reservation through National Travel Support. The lobby is beautifully decorated in the style of a Japanese garden. I booked a 10 tatami room, and there was a sunken kotatsu-style table, and the view of Lake Suwa was great, probably because it was on the 5th floor. There were two sinks and it was spacious. The futons were already drawn when I arrived, but this was done to keep the accommodation costs low, so I didn't mind at all. The baths are either an open-air bath on the 7th floor or an indoor bath on the 1st floor. It's not that big, but the view from the 7th floor is great, and you can see the lights on the other side of Lake Suwa. All-you-can-drink, all-you-can-eat meals, and local sake are also available. On this day, I was satisfied with the roast beef one plate plus. My wife has bad legs, so they brought a chair to our room and set us up a seat close to where we would go to get our meals.It was a good inn where I felt the staff were considerate.
