I believe it is important to acknowledge and celebrate excellence, and I sincerely hope that the outstanding efforts of the hotel team members are recognized for their service excellence: - Wang Yu Wen (Azekura) - Nobukazu Yoshida (Azekura) - Miyamae (Azekura) - Okubo Ren (Azekura) - Murata (Lounge) - Pabina (Lounge) - Kim (Front Desk) - Pitcha (Front Desk) - Arjun (Front Desk) - Dushanta (Front Desk) Some highlights of this stay: - Sparkling Wine provided for Bonvoy members during breakfast, ingredients also sourced from Nara - FHR dining credit has 125usd instead of the 100usd - Azekura the JP restaurant: one of the best teppanyaki and kaiseki I had in JP - no sento but there's a jacuzzi in the pool. The fitness gym was quite comprehensive The regular Room was already very big, comfy bed and clean! No upgrade this time since all rooms are fully booked - service! 100% good! One of the most friendly staff and quite a number overseas staff. - The hotel provide a shuttle bus to Nara station or Kintetsu Below content for those who has time to read To start, it was the first day of the dining experience at Azekura that got me to have not one but two dining occasions at the restaurant. Chef Wang Yu Wen not only delivered a gastronomic experience throughout my teppanyaki lunch course, but he also delivered a very personal one-one dining service experience. His culinary expertise was showcased in every dish despite my dietary restriction, every flavour simply delighted my palate. Kirito did an exceptional service by recommending a great local Nara sake to pair with my lunch course., The second day of Kaiseki was equally delightful and I was extremely surprised to be greeted by the 料理長, Mr Nobukazu Yoshida who honestly provided such an “Omotenashi” experience throughout my time at Azekura. Mr Okubo Ren and Ms Miyamae also delivered great service during my lunch dining on the second day. Overall, the dining experience at Azekura was the highlight of my stay and till now, I couldn’t help but marvel due to the great service that was initiated by Mr Wang Yu Wen. Additionally, I would like to commend the impeccable service I received during the check-in process. I I was impressed at Mr Kim’s patience and service throughout the check-in experience, and I was really glad to get a warm welcoming experience from both Mr Arjun and Ms Pitcha at the lobby. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate specific requests made a significant difference, setting the tone for an enjoyable and happy stay. It is evident that the team takes pride in delivering top-notch service, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Furthermore, the hospitality at the lounge was exemplary. Despite the huge crowd during the festive season, the lounge staff did create a comfortable and enjoyable one. Both Murata and Pabina were some of those whom I felt had delivered great service during the evening cocktail hours. Lastly

The long-awaited purple Nara! Thank you for staying with my mother. Even at this stay, ... From the pick-up to the see-off ... Maruyama Chiichifu Concierge received a very polite response! Mr. Hashiya manager! Thank you for your wonderful time. Kengo Kuma renovated the guest room of 'Nara Prefectural Governor's Office' built in early 1900, and revived the taste of the Taisho Period to the present age. In November 1951, Emperor Showa renovated the San Francisco Peace Treaty and Japan and the United States When I was a child, such as the reception room ”Go Certification Room” of the former prefectural governor's office, which is also a historic place to sign the ratification of the Security Treaty, ... The historic site that was listed in the textbook in the social studies class is in the hotel. In the reception room, round tables and chairs By seeing it for the first time through furnishings, ... I was impressed and at the same time I felt strange. Above all, my mother, who loves Kengo Kuma's modern architecture, was very impressed, so ... Great success! The rag colle of the green brand is not only purple but also Arashiyama purple! Irafu Sui Miyakojima! The hotels in every area are wonderful, but ... purple Nara was better than I imagined. Next time, I will revisit with my partner at the end of April, so please do not hesitate to do so. Thank you for your continued support 🤲

We stayed one night in FUFU Nara on the way from Tokyo to Kyoto. We took a special train - Aoniyoshi from Kyoto to Nara and it was very enjoyable ride. We took a taxi from Kintetsu Nara station to the hotel. Hotel staff greeted us right away and kept the our luggage for us until the check-in time. It is located next to Ukimido and we were able to visit Todaiji and the giant Buddha before the check-in. Once we return, we had a nice cold welcome drink. Hotel staff were very professional and friendly. It was obvious that they take a great pride on performing their tasks. Our room was super clean and modern with some Japanese touches. And the hot tub on the balcony was amazing. We contemplated between FUFU and the new Shisui, but we were very glad that we chose FUFU. At FUFU, I believe all rooms are suites and come with the private open air onsen. We did read some reviews on the noise. We did not notice too much especially after dodging so many screaming school children at Todaiji. At night, we had teppan yaki dinner for our anniversary. It was pretty cool to dress in yukata with a hanten jacket. The sandals were comfortable, also. We walked through the bamboo garden to get to the restaurant. Our chef was friendly and food was delicious. With sake pairing, we had a great time. Breakfast was served at the same restaurant, and the walk was beautiful in the morning. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. The lady who served us explained each dish very politely. It's hard to believe they are so helpful even without any tips. Staying at FUFU made our stay in Nara very special.

The well-regulated Japanese-style tatami room, just three people's bunk, all kinds of supplies are complete, but the room does not provide free drinking water, the tea itself has a taste of tap water. Dinner and breakfast are provided. People go to the table. The sashimi has been dried. Other dishes are more ordinary. It is almost meaningless than other hot spring hotel meals. The ladies hot spring is a small pool and a bathtub and sauna similar to the foot of the Buddha. There are no highlights. The waiter is not particularly enthusiastic. I stared at the guests and said that I could not touch this and that. There was a free drink machine at the entrance of the hot spring. I wanted to drink in the morning and found that I was turned off after work. The only highlight is the waiter who came to help, who was gentle and beautiful. The hotel terrace has a good view and the price is average.

Royal suites of the top floor Mezzonet type are available at low cost depending on the date of stay and plan. It is a room with a year, but there is a clean feeling, there is a TV on the upper and lower floors, there is a cherry blossom bath, and there is a sofa on the upper floor, and I enjoyed the interior room like a mountain hut. The top floor was quiet and comfortable because only one room. The cherry blossom bath is old, so there is black smear, but it is comfortable with the cherry blossom fragrance. Just a little drainage groove water damage. It was such a specification because it flowed without saving at first. The meal was very delicious in the morning and evening. The service of the employee was good and delicious. It was a hotel I wanted to use again.

I felt wide because I was alone in a twin room.
Free drink servers, green tea and tea bags are also prepared and good impression.
The breakfast buffet (¥ 1100) side dishes were so normal, but miso soup was carved and put onion into the cherry blossoms by oneself, and it was miso soup without ingredients.
Unfortunately, there is no power outlet in the wash place of the unit bus and the dryer cannot be used.
The mirror was only in the washroom, and there was no mirror on the wall in front of the table with the power outlet, so I couldn't get my hair done.
I asked the front desk to come to the room and confirm that there was no power outlet.
Therefore, the evaluation of the facility was made to be normal (face 3), but it may be a little sweet.

It is a small hotel, along the national route, so the entrance is difficult to understand. If you don't look at the map well, you will pass by. It was a hiding hotel and I was able to be quiet and calm because the number of rooms was not small. There was also a balcony in a wide room with a low bed. It was 2 meals, but it was influenced by corona or 2 meals to the room. I was very satisfied with a solid meal for a reasonable price.

The location of the room is really consistent with the online reviews. You can see the deer on the balcony, especially when you walk in the morning and evening, you can get in touch with each other in front of the door. 5 minutes to go out, shopping, eating, parks, temples are all complete. It is worth mentioning that the room service is in place. The only drawback is that the check-out time is before 10 o'clock, and the overtime is 3840 yen/hour.

GGuest UserOr too busy? No room clothes! On the contrary, maybe the baby bed that the guest needed until the day before remained. The location of the hotel is located in the opposite side of the downtown in the direction. You can leave the station to the hotel and go along the track to shortcut. The lobby was wide 々. Amenity etc are placed next to the front desk and the style to take from there. toothbrushes too. However, the cup was provided in the room. The elevator is a style of pressing the destination floor with a card key. Some elevators also hold the key when going down . The room also has an air purifier, baggage rack, and alarm clock. Glass in a coffee cup and ice in it. The bath is card key, and there are other dedicated keys for women. The exclusive key is 々 exchange day. Hand towels bath towels are provided in the bath, so you don't need to take them from the room. Towel place, I think this is bad for guests, but it is quite messy, so I thought I needed a regular check. The washroom is 8, and 2 of them can be set up with parents and children. No sauna.
GGuest UserA hotel that feels like a business + hot spring hotel, just next to JR Nara Station. The room is clean and quite large, 3 F, but the view from the window was completely elevated by the railway, and I was worried about the sound of the train. The bathroom in the room has only a shower, but there is a large communal bath in a natural hot spring, so I was able to relax. There was no problem with the hot springs and breakfast, and it was as expected. Free bottled water 1 book in the refrigerator, WiFi is also free to connect.
GGodoodimThe best hotel experience we had in the entire Japan trip. The room is very spacious (about 30-40 square meters by my estimation) and it is spotless clean. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I especially like the Japanese style room design where you take off your shoes at the front door and enter the elevated wooden floored room. The location is unbeatable - only 3 mins walk from the Nara train station, on a small tourist street with tons of small shops and restaurants. The room is very quite even though it is on the tourist street.
Bbobsen_lyuThe hotel is next to JR Nara Station, and there are buses to Nara Park and Todaiji Temple. The transportation is very convenient. There are 2 hot spring pools, one of which can be ventilated outdoors, and the feeling is also good. The most important thing is that the price is affordable. If you come to Nara, it is worth staying. The triple room has upper and lower bunks, and there is enough space. There are also many izakayas near the train station hotel. In addition, you can drink for free in the hotel bar before 21:00, and you can even buy octopus balls downstairs and bring them up to eat. (The hotel welcomes food)
CCHIDEJIOYAJI0724I stayed at the 3 generation including my grandson. It was an inn near my home, and if there was no Nara Prefectural citizenship, there was no chance to stay. The parking lot is narrow, so it is a style to park at the entrance and leave the key. After the reception at the front desk, you will be guided to the room and you can provide tea in the room, which is an old-fashioned customer service. Although the entire building is undeniably aging, there was a sense of security because it was well maintained, cleaned, and corona measures. The room was a large room with the next room, but the five-storied pagoda of Kofukuji was a room in the direction where I couldn't see it. The bath has a large communal bath and an open-air bath on the same floor, but it was a pity that I had to change clothes and enter again. I used it properly as a large communal bath before dinner and an open-air bath before going to bed. It was an artificial hot spring, so it was quite a spring quality. Dinner was served in a private room with consideration for my grandchildren, but it was simple but delicately seasoned and was top class in Nara inn. Breakfast was also very delicious. The landlady was well supervised by the employees from check-in to check-out, and everyone's manners were wonderful. At dinner, we were waiting at the entrance, and at breakfast, we were 々 for employees with great consideration to guide us ahead of the elevator. There is no accommodation, and dinner is possible, and it is a revisit.
GGuest UserExceeded expections on all grounds! I am so happy with the hotel I wanted to spread the word. This hotel has great old world charm and more. I was a little worried about the condition of the hotel (more than 100 years old!) but everything was fine. I stayed at the Main Wing / basic room with park view. The bathroom was basic (business hotel like) but very clean, but the room / bedding and the view at our window was wonderful. Given the low price point, we were very happy with the room. Definitely recommend the Main Wing, and if you can, a room with higher price point.
All staff, from shuttle bus / concierge / front desk / bar, are excellent. We really enjoyed the check in process - you can sit at the lounge admiring Einstein's piano while the front staff comes calling your name. Also try the tea lounge both during the day and night (turns to a bar). I would also like to extend special thanks to Korean speaking front manager Lee Su Jin who helped us in so many ways. She really made our stay comfortable.
One thing to note about Nara city itself is that most venues close at 4pm and have unpredictable operating hours. You can't just walk around hoping to sit down at a cafe or restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advance of your trip and I'm sure Nara hotel concierge can help with this.
I really enjoyed Nara Hotel and look really forward to returning.
GGuest UserRoom was small probably because of the extra sofa bed but it was very convenient and clean. Great location. Close to Nara park and the station. The restaurant is also very nice.
GGuest UserFantastic Hotel with a perfectly convenient location. The only thing is the bad attitude of a female manager at the front desk. We asked for more bottled water, but she refused. Refusing is OK, but she thought we didn't understand Japanese and said some bad words to us.
Unfortunately, we are just not fluent in Japanese, but we can totally understand what she was saying. A pathetic woman manager ruined other staff's good service and hard work.
XXIAOSAI ordered a double bed and made a loft. The overall space is not very large, but it is much more comfortable than domestic hotels. The hygiene and service are excellent. The location is very good. It is 7 minutes walk from Nara Park and 5 minutes from the subway entrance. A place to eat, drink and play for 5 minutes.
You can play in Nara for a few more days, the deer are very cute
AAnonymous UserThe reception and bathroom outside are okay, there is a washing machine, but the small room is mixed with men and women, and the curtains are not sealed, you can see inside, and the lights are dim, it is a bit scary to be alone. No one was there when we checked out. After waiting for a while, we put the room card at the front desk and left. One door is the dormitory area, and the other is the washing area. The dormitory area requires you to enter the password, but the washing area and the dormitory area are connected. You can enter the washing area casually. I feel so scared to stay overnight and run away. The price is cheap, but there is no sense of security.
