"The location is fantastic! Right outside the hotel, you can rent electric bikes at a discounted rate, which was perfect for our family to explore Sun Moon Lake and see the Nine Frogs. 😎 However, the breakfast area really needs a major overhaul. The carpet in the restaurant looks like it hasn't been updated or cleaned in years, with stains everywhere. As for the basement swimming pool and children's playroom, they were truly disappointing. The environment is so old and dirty, and there was a strong musty smell from the air conditioning."

"The Lalu is always my first choice whenever I visit Sun Moon Lake. I absolutely love the hotel's overall design, the room layout, and the staff's warmth and enthusiasm. The Lalu boasts the best lake views in all of Sun Moon Lake. My favorite part is enjoying the picturesque scene of the serene lake and distant mountains just before sunrise; I can stand on the balcony and quietly admire it for 30 minutes. I do have a small suggestion for The Lalu. We were a party of 10, staying in 3 rooms. Upon check-in in the morning, we clearly specified how our luggage should be distributed among the rooms. However, when we checked in that afternoon, we found that the luggage and welcome cookies for two of the rooms had all been placed in just one room. I understand The Lalu has many new employees, and they might need time to become familiar with all the operational details. This minor issue doesn't diminish our affection for The Lalu at all."
