"The hotel is conveniently located, about a 10-minute drive from Songshan Lake. It's a large property with a KTV, restaurant, and a spacious parking lot. The hotel itself is well-equipped with a swimming pool, spa, go-karts, and an amusement park, making it ideal for families.
The rooms are quite spacious at 40 sqm and even include a sauna. I had trouble getting it to work, so I called a staff member to assist. The power outlets were a bit loose and couldn't hold plugs securely. I was told the mini-fridge isn't a cooler. They did provide some simple complimentary fruit.
The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of dishes, tasted nice, and was refilled quickly. Plates were also cleared efficiently.
The backyard features a campsite, amusement park, and go-karts, while there's a swimming pool at the top of the hill, making it a great place to bring kids."

Seeing Dongguan's sights from this hotel is easy with Changping Park (Changtian Road), Changping Cultural Square and Railroad Park all close by. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests of this Dongguan hotel can make use of the parking facilities. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling on business.
"The hotel's location is great, close to the business district, and it's well-renovated with a good price. You can tell it's recently refurbished as soon as you enter; it's very clean, and the hygiene standards are met. However, some room equipment is a bit old; it seems only the surface was renovated, not the internal wiring and devices. There are no power outlets by the bed, so I had to charge my phone under the desk. Also, the air conditioning isn't very effective, and the controls are surprisingly old-fashioned rotary knobs from twenty years ago, with yellowed plastic. I've stayed at the Huilihua next door, and they have digital control panels. It's really rare to see an AC unit with traditional rotary switches these days.
That said, the hygiene is genuinely good, and the restaurants downstairs are decent, so overall, it was a good experience.

"The TV is too small and slow. The set-top box flickers at night, disturbing sleep. The bed is unstable; its wheels don't hold properly and it's easily pushed. There's only one phone charger plugged in near the bed. There's no place to put your phone next to the toilet. Getting toilet paper is inconvenient; you have to turn around a lot."

It was fate that the Junlan Hotel, where I'd stayed before, didn't have single rooms available, so I ended up staying at this hotel much later.
Aside from the slightly dated facilities, everything else was surprisingly good. Transportation, dining, and everything else are all very conveniently located here! The breakfast was also very filling!
I highly recommend staying here again!"

CcccingThe castle-view room offered a beautiful light show at night, and the room facilities were brand new. The hotel has a ball pit, sandpit, building block area, and reading zone, which kept the kids entertained for a long time. The outdoor pool wasn't open yet, and the indoor pool was quite deep, making it unsuitable for children. The hot spring area was less crowded and more comfortable. Plus, the nearby Longfeng Villa offered more activities than expected. Overall, we had a great time, and considering it was a holiday, the price premium wasn't too high, making it excellent value for money.

As an experienced hotel enthusiast, I had long anticipated the arrival of Banyan Tree’s first hotel in Guangdong, especially for a summer trip to Dongguan Songshan Lake. I’ve now visited twice. The hotel lobby itself feels like the beginning of an aesthetic vacation, enveloping guests in a blend of ancient tranquility, contemporary wellness, and a thoughtful, immersive experience. The front desk's backdrop features a painting by artist Wang Tiande, 'Banyan Secluded Abode,' an elegant landscape in a minimalist style that perfectly complements the lobby’s ambiance. Crystal at the front desk provided excellent service. On either side of the guest rooms are a walk-in closet, vanity, and bathroom. The bathroom is a standout, featuring Banyan Tree SPA's exclusive Thai Chamanard bath products and a Dyson hairdryer as standard – every detail screams luxury. The balcony boasts a soaking tub, offering a relaxing mineral bath experience for both body and mind. The 'Sunset Ritual' at Ri Ri Ting is a truly healing experience, where professional instructors guide guests through a singing bowl relaxation session, immersing them in ethereal Zen sounds to clear daily distractions and purify the soul.
The Lobby Lounge has a stylish design with both indoor and outdoor areas. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer beautiful views of the lake and green forest, and the outdoor seating is surrounded by flowing water. It’s a perfect place to unwind with a laptop, enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, and spend a leisurely afternoon – a rare treat for relaxation. The Julius Meinl 'Little Red Hat' coffee served here was particularly to my liking. In the evening, the Lobby Lounge's menu also features a wonderful selection of signature cocktails, providing a satisfying escape into a beautiful night amidst a bustling life. Furthermore, the authentic Cantonese cuisine at Bai Yun Chinese Restaurant is a visual and culinary feast that leaves a lasting impression.

TTravelling HIt’s a good hotel. Brand new, luxurious, nice facilities. The room itself was very nicely designed and comfortable.
Only thing that needs improvement is the air quality of the rooms. They don’t enforce a strict no-smoking policy. Which is fine, but they also don’t have an air purifier. So if you have asthma or breathing problems that may be an issue. I already informed the manager and hope they take the necessary steps to purchase some air purifiers as they are only about 750 Yuan.
I hope to return in the future and if I see them having some air purifiers on board that could take their rating to a 5/5 in the future. But if not; that is their choice as a 4-star hotel as well.

There were two welcome dolls upon check-in, which kids would probably love. I really like the double shower in the hotel; I've seen too many hotels with just double sinks!

I especially appreciated the daily housekeeping service, which kept the room clean and fresh throughout my visit. The room itself was quite spacious, even though I booked one of the more budget-friendly options, which was a pleasant surprise.
One area that could be improved is the lighting control in the room. There is no central switch to dim or turn off the lights, so I had to walk around the room to switch off different lights before going to sleep. Additionally, the bathroom layout separates the toilet from the shower area, requiring a few steps to move between them.
The hotel provides clothes washing services but it’s chargeable and the price is on high side. One piece of normal ladies pant cost RMB50, male pant cost RMB45. If you give the clothes the housekeeping staff before 11am, they will send the clothes back to your room within the same day.
Pullman Hotel also offers several in-house dining options, including Chinese and Japanese-style restaurants within the premises, which made dining very convenient. If you order food delivery , they have the robot machine to send your food to the room, just make sure you indicated the room number clearly. The lift required a room card to access hence the dispatcher will not be able to send the food to your room.
Hotel staff is helpful, I requested them to collect the parcel on my behalf from the locker located at basement and they acting it very fast. Keeping them for me even though the check in date was a week later.
Overall, it was still a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Pullma.

GGuest UserRight before Chinese New Year, my friends and I decided to take a short trip and chose this hotel because it's quite close to home, about an hour's drive away. It's also not far from the highway exit, which makes it convenient for self-driving. The hotel itself has a strong festive atmosphere for the New Year, and there are many facilities for kids to play with. I'd recommend it for families.
