The room was incredibly spacious with a 2-meter bed, which is bigger than the 1.8-meter beds you find in most other hotels. The ambiance was cozy, and the lighting fixtures were absolutely beautiful. Breakfast offered a great variety. I'll definitely stay here again.

[Perfect Stay Experience] The room was more spacious and brighter than I expected, with fantastic views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a sound sleep until morning. Attention to detail was evident everywhere: the mini-bar had a great selection of drinks, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and was equipped with a smart toilet. The complimentary tea bags were of excellent quality, and it was lovely to sit by the window in the afternoon enjoying a cuppa. The location is convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby. The front desk service was warm and efficient, and they proactively upgraded my room type. Upon checking out, they even gave me a lovely little gift. Absolutely great value for money, this has become my go-to choice in this city. Highly recommended!

Location: 5/5 – Absolutely Strategic!
The biggest strength of this hotel is its unbeatable location. You’re steps away from McDonald's and Luckin Coffee for quick bites and caffeine. A well-stocked mall is right beside the hotel, making it super easy to grab daily necessities. The best part? A lively night market is directly opposite the hotel! This makes finding delicious, affordable local food incredibly convenient any time of the evening. The whole area is very 热闹 (rènào - bustling/energetic) – perfect if you want to be in the heart of the action.
Cleanliness: 3/5 – Okay for the Price, Manage Expectations
The general cleanliness is acceptable, if you adjust your expectations. It's definitely not a 5-star luxury experience, but for a budget/mid-range stay, it's passable and reasonably maintained. Don't expect immaculate perfection, but the basics are covered.
Room & Atmosphere: 2/5 – Persistent Smoke Smell
The major downside, especially in the rooms and hallways, is a strong and pervasive smoke smell. It's quite noticeable and doesn't dissipate easily. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in many hotels within the region, but it's definitely present and unpleasant here if you're sensitive to it.
Breakfast: 1/5 – Strongly Not Recommended / Unhygienic
Avoid the breakfast option. Hygiene standards here are very poor. I personally observed small cockroaches crawling on the tables in the breakfast area. This is completely unacceptable and a major health red flag. Do yourself a favor and skip it entirely. Thankfully, with McDonald's, Luckin, the mall food court, and the fantastic night market opposite, you have plenty of much better (and cleaner) alternatives nearby.
Overall:
This hotel is all about the location, location, location. If being in a super convenient, vibrant area with easy access to food, coffee, and shopping is your top priority, and you're on a budget, it serves that purpose. The cleanliness is tolerable for the category. However, the strong smoke smell in the rooms and corridors is a significant drawback, and the breakfast is dangerously unhygienic (cockroach sighting confirmed). Choose this hotel for the prime spot if you can tolerate the smoke and definitely plan to eat breakfast elsewhere.
Who should stay: Budget-conscious travelers prioritizing an unbeatable, lively location who aren't sensitive to smoke smells and will skip the hotel breakfast.
Who should avoid: Families with young children, travelers sensitive to smoke, those prioritizing high cleanliness standards, or anyone planning to eat the hotel breakfast.

Guest UserI had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. One of its biggest advantages is the excellent location. It is within walking distance of shopping centers, making it very convenient for dining, shopping, and exploring the surrounding area.
The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the room temperature was comfortable throughout my stay. I also appreciated that the air conditioning could be adjusted easily to suit my own preference.
The recreational facilities are well maintained. The swimming pool is clean and inviting, and the sauna and steam room are perfect for relaxing after a long day. The gym is well equipped with a variety of treadmills, cardio machines, and weight-training equipment suitable for different fitness levels. There is also a snooker (pool) room and a table tennis room, both of which are great places for families and friends to spend time together.
Although Dongguan is better known for its manufacturing industry than as a tourist destination, there are still several attractions worth visiting. I recommend visiting the Opium War Museum and the beautifully designed waterfront garden with its distinctive three-level architectural layout. Both offer an interesting glimpse into the city's history and culture.
The local food is another highlight of the trip. The restaurants are reasonably priced and offer a wide variety of authentic Chinese regional cuisines, making it easy to enjoy different local flavors without spending a fortune.
Overall, this hotel offers an excellent combination of comfort, convenience, and value. Whether you are visiting Dongguan for business or leisure, I would highly recommend staying here.

The front desk service was excellent; they were very attentive and even made coffee for me. I've stayed here several times now. The rooms are clean and tidy, and I really like the decor. It's thoughtful that the front desk has a dedicated area for female guests, which is super convenient for travelers. The hotel also has a gym, a swimming pool, and a laundry room. Plus, every room comes with a charger, making it especially great for business travelers. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time. Thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up!

Guest UserThe front desk and housekeeping teams were friendly, courteous, and attentive throughout our stay. Both check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, making the experience hassle-free from start to finish. The room was clean, well-maintained, and felt as good as new following its recent refurbishment. Overall, the comfortable ambience, along with the cozy bed and pillows, ensured a relaxing and restful night's sleep. The hotel’s breakfast was excellent, offering a wide selection of authentic local dishes as well as freshly brewed coffee for guests who enjoy starting their day with a cup of coffee.
The hotel's strategic location is another major highlight. Numerous restaurants, convenience stores, and hawker stalls are situated within walking distance, offering plenty of dining options. There is also a local market just behind the hotel, where guests can enjoy authentic local food and browse a variety of shops. In addition, a large shopping mall is located approximately 1.5 km away, making it easily accessible on foot and providing a convenient place to find everything you need. Transportation is very convenient, with taxis and ride-hailing services such as DiDi readily available from the hotel to various destinations.
However, one drawback is that the hotel shares the building with commercial lots, and the soundproofing could be improved. Noise from people talking in the corridors and surrounding areas could be clearly heard, even as early as 5:00 a.m., which occasionally disturbed the stay. Despite the minor issue with noise, my overall experience was very positive and well worth the price paid. The hotel offers great value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I would also gladly choose to stay here again on my next trip to China.

登家老六The hotel's location is quite convenient, situated between Dongguan Station and Humen Station, both high-speed rail stops, and also in the middle of Metro Line 2, with both being about a 30-minute ride away. Just one metro stop from the hotel is Minying International Trade City, a large mall with everything you could need. The hotel facilities and rooms definitely show their age. The two swimming pools are quite good, both 1.55 meters deep, large enough to swim comfortably, and each has a jacuzzi. There's also a kids' pool with a slide, 0.5 meters deep. The breakfast selection is decent. The room is very spacious, and the bathroom isn't small either, plus there's a large balcony. The natural light in the room is good. It's almost time for a hardware renovation, and then it would be perfect. The staff granted us a late check-out, making for a perfect weekend family getaway. Marriott Resort quality truly shines through.

Cathrin. GThe hotel provides a wide range of amenities that made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the daily housekeeping service, which kept the room clean and fresh throughout my visit. The room itself was quite spacious, even though I booked one of the more budget-friendly options, which was a pleasant surprise.
One area that could be improved is the lighting control in the room. There is no central switch to dim or turn off the lights, so I had to walk around the room to switch off different lights before going to sleep. Additionally, the bathroom layout separates the toilet from the shower area, requiring a few steps to move between them.
The hotel provides clothes washing services but it’s chargeable and the price is on high side. One piece of normal ladies pant cost RMB50, male pant cost RMB45. If you give the clothes the housekeeping staff before 11am, they will send the clothes back to your room within the same day.
Pullman Hotel also offers several in-house dining options, including Chinese and Japanese-style restaurants within the premises, which made dining very convenient. If you order food delivery , they have the robot machine to send your food to the room, just make sure you indicated the room number clearly. The lift required a room card to access hence the dispatcher will not be able to send the food to your room.
Hotel staff is helpful, I requested them to collect the parcel on my behalf from the locker located at basement and they acting it very fast. Keeping them for me even though the check in date was a week later.
Overall, it was still a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Pullma.

Anonymous UserNice location with restaurants nearby, cross border bus service to HK/HK airport.
However I had a terrible experience at the swimming pool. Apparently it has been outsourced to a private entity so the service was really bad. The pool attendant (a younger male staff) was neither friendly nor helpful, so I could not enjoy my lap swim. That's why the star rating for service drops to 2. This is my third time staying in this hotel and I met him every time at the poolside. He gave me the feeling that hotel guests are second class user next to his own local members.
Other than that, the stay was as good as before
