Small room and very simple, that's the hotel in Singapore, the kind of price like Australia or Canada, well, very convenient by train to city and airport

The room at Hotel 81 Changi was not as clean as expected. I experienced a noticeable bad smell in the room and bathroom.

This hotel is nice and can find food nearby. The only downside is that there is no air conditioning in the lift and the corridor of the room.

A Fair Stay with Some Trade-offs I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, I’d say it offers a fair value for the price, especially if you’re not expecting luxury and just need a comfortable place to rest. The room was a bit smaller than I expected, and the toilet area was also quite compact, which might be a consideration for travelers who need more space. That said, I was pleasantly surprised to find a bathtub included – a nice touch that you don’t always get in hotels at this price point. It definitely added a bit of relaxation after a long day. One thing I did notice was that the room had a slight smell when I first walked in. It wasn’t overpowering or unbearable, but it was there. It faded after a while, especially once I opened a window or turned on the air conditioning, but it’s worth mentioning for anyone sensitive to that kind of thing. Aside from that, the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the basic amenities like towels, water, and toiletries were provided. The staff were polite and helpful, which added a lot to the experience. If you’re traveling on a budget or just looking for a short stay with essential comforts, this hotel is a practical choice. There are a few compromises, but nothing too serious – and for the price, it’s hard to complain too much.

Overall the room is OK except for the toilet. It's too small and cramp. There's bathtub but with no shower curtain. Hence when you shower, the whole bathroom floor totally wet and slippery. Can be very dangerous for elderly or couples with young children.

Not bad. Although the room abit small. But basic item all have, and most importantly the room clean.

I woke up by someone who knock my door and ring the bell at 2h39 am...I can hear the noise of the corridor. The room is affordable.

The hotel is close to MRT station and bus stop. Recommended hotel as it is clean and there are many restaurants nearby.

The aircond was not really functioning. It was very hot in the room. And the cleanliness of room is not good too. Stains are available. Staff are not really friendly and polite. No greetings. Definitely won't go again.

It is a last-minute booking for layover. Basically, you get what you paid for. But despite star rating (I.e. 2 star), I do think basic cleanliness should be achieved. The strange, stale smell in the room with windows impossible to open, the dirty pillow covers and bedsheets (most likely the pillow itself) and the sweaty stale smell of the bed. Dusty desk and phone. Loud noise of the aircon which does not work and only to produce more humidity and stuffiness. The best feature is the water from the shower which does not belong to the hotel of course. Biggest joke: toothbrush sets are provided, but the toothpaste comes with no caps and it obviously indicates how to open it by turning the cap upside down and use the pin to pierce through the plastic. Bad quality product from China and both packs are the same. Does someone even bother to check? I don’t understand why there are many very positive reviews esp about cleanliness.

We love the big glass window included the cleanest of the room.

The receptionist didn't say even say hi & gave me a handicap room. When I called to informed him hat I need a new room he just told me to come dowm & nonchallantly handed me the key without even saying a word. This hotel is not for tourist as during weekend there were many couples waiting in the lobhy for short time stay.

Very kind ,polite, helpful all the staff in the hotel. Very safety hotel. Especially for women's. Always smile.very good ...good....and good. Thanks for your kind service. Love Singapore
