Tiny, Stuffy, and Rude Staff - A Deeply Disappointing Stay ★☆☆☆☆ Less than Average and Not Worth the Price I am writing this review after a deeply disappointing stay at the Homeinn Selected Hotel in Bao'an, Shenzhen. While the room was clean, that was the only positive in a sea of negatives, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. My stay was plagued by several issues: 1. Claustrophobic and Stuffy Rooms: The room was unbelievably tiny, making it difficult to move around with luggage. Worse than the size was the complete lack of air circulation. The air was dumb, moist, and stale, making the room feel incredibly stuffy and uncomfortable. It felt like we were breathing in the same air all night. 2. Unpleasant "View" and Kitchen Setup: Our window offered a view of a dingy, messy interior space, which was depressing. The kitchen, which is supposed to provide a welcoming service, was a particular low point. It's hidden behind a mostly-covered glass divider, so you have no visibility into the food preparation area. To even order, you have to bend over and try to get the attention of the staff member inside. 3. The Rude and Unhelpful Staff: The worst part of our stay was the staff member running the kitchen and floor. He was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. He ignored our simple greetings. When I politely asked (via phone translation) still early in the morning if he could make a fresh pot of coffee after finding an empty, dirty one, he responded with a sour face and a dismissive hand gesture, indicating "no more" without a single word. This level of service is unacceptable. Overall, this hotel offers a poor experience. The combination of a cramped, stuffy room, a complete lack of basic hospitality (no coffee or warm drinks in the lobby), and outright rude staff made for a very unpleasant stay. The low price does not justify the numerous shortcomings. I will not be returning and would advise others to look elsewhere.

The room is spacious, and the surrounding area offers great conveniences. In the evenings, a walk towards the subway station reveals an abundance of food and drink options, along with numerous supermarkets. Inside the room, there's a small lounge area perfect for entertaining guests, and a compact desk ideal for working. Laundry facilities are also available for washing and drying clothes. It's very close to the airport; a taxi ride covers 5 kilometers in about 10 minutes, costing around 18 RMB. While this isn't particularly cheap, the main benefit is the speed of the journey. The bus, however, takes approximately half an hour to reach the airport. Therefore, the convenience of its proximity to the airport is somewhat of a mixed blessing.

The room was spacious and bright, and impeccably clean. The hotel offers free laundry service. The location is very convenient for getting around, and the front desk service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Highly recommended for travelers!

Close to the airport, good for a night if you want to get to stay closer to the airport. I love that smoking is not allowed in this hotel

Fantastic! The room was spotless and smelled wonderful. I had a really comfortable sleep, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. Plus, it's very close to the airport.

There are many eateries right downstairs. Even late at night, a taxi ride from the hotel to the airport is just 8 minutes.

The hotel is conveniently located near the subway, and the price is quite reasonable. The surrounding neighborhood feels safe. Our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. There are also plenty of food options right downstairs, which is a big plus for convenience. What's more, there's a laundry room right by the elevators, which made doing laundry incredibly easy.

The reception staff provided good service; although their English was not very strong, they made an effort to help. However, the staff at the dining area were not very polite and need improvement.

This hotel is hands down my go-to choice! The breakfast spread is both exquisite and diverse. The complimentary laundry service is a real lifesaver, tackling any travel worries. Their airport drop-off service was perfectly punctual and incredibly thoughtful. And the rooms? Spotlessly clean, feeling brand new. The entire experience was absolutely top-notch!
