Shangri-La Hotels with Airport pickup service

I stayed in the suite at this hotel. It was a great and very comfortable stay. Everything about the suite was elegant and built for comfort. The hotel has a restaurant that makes delicious Yunnan inspired dishes. The yak stew and the potato dishes were especially good. The staff was nice and friendly although language presented a barrier. (Thankfully there are translation apps.). The pool was a little weird though. It's presented more like a pond in the middle of the hotel rooms. There seems to be only one access point to the pool and there is zero seating. Its rimmed by plants and trees. Very strange. But thats the only criticism of the hotel. Everything else meets and exceeds expectations of a hotel. And its within walking distance of the old town.

Best-in-class hotel. Enjoyed a free upgrade to better room with a scenic view. We were also given late check out and a free ride to the train station. The staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. Our driver James Zhou is a young, friendly and helpful guy who shared tips on trekking.

The accommodation is beautiful with a very friendly and lovely young lady as host. She picked up our luggages from the entrance of the Dukezong ancient town and the accommodation is just a short cobblestoned walk away. The town is beautiful and they have dancing every evening in the ancient town square where everyone can join. Wouldn't mind staying here again if I'm in Shangri-La again.

Hotel Indigo is situated on the top of a hill, overseeing the ancient town. We enjoyed the very beautiful view and scenery from our room and the restaurant, where added-on one breakfast during our stay just to enjoy the view and ambience. The food options during breakfast were average with a mixture of international and local food. Rooms were very clean with daily housekeeping service. Buggy service is also available to bring you from the main lobby to the rooms. The only downside is the walk up the hill when returning to the hotel from the ancient town, as it can be quite tiring and made worst by the altitude. Would definitely recommend staying here during your time in Shangri-la!

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The view is amazing all around. Our room was beautifully designed, bathroom window facing the snow mountain. The floor heating and fire place makes the whole room warm and cozy. Their property located on a route to the big hike, makes it convenient to check out the mountains and water fall. Super friendly staff, they go above and beyond to meet our needs. Also really loved the breakfast and dinner experience. Home style cooking, eventuating was yummy on the menu. We’ll definitely come back next time we visit Yunnan. This hotel itself is an whole experience to enjoy.

I checked in on New Year's Eve and felt full of enthusiasm. As soon as I entered the door, I was fascinated by the exquisite traditional ******* space, and then the handsome Tashi presented Hada. The whole experience felt like I had come to a family with very good service. The beautiful room was equipped with comfortable floor heating, which made people feel that they had come to a hotel. There were good night snacks and milk before going to bed. Because it was the New Year, I also experienced a bonfire party, drank rice wine cooked by the boss's wife, and set off fireworks together. I got up early the next day to experience a special ******* breakfast. I am very happy to have the opportunity to choose this special hotel. Highly praised: 1. Full of ethnic characteristics, I like it very much 2. The room has very good lighting, and you can see the yard from the window 3. Shangri-La is very cold at night, and there are radiators and electric blankets in the room ready for sleeping, and quilts + blankets on the bed 4. The towels are disposable, and people with mysophobia can use them with confidence. There are disposable slippers and plastic slippers, and they are fully equipped 5. The store owner has a very good service attitude. The toilet light broke halfway, and he took the initiative to help me change rooms 6. The location is good, a few dozen meters away from the main road, convenient for taxis, and there are many food and drinks around, and you can also eat in the store There is room for improvement: 1. It is very shaking when going up and down the stairs, which is not friendly to friends with heavy luggage 2. Later, the hot water on the fourth floor was not warm enough, but I was in a hurry to check out, so I didn't give any feedback 3. The log house has no sound insulation, but the overall environment is quiet In summary, it is highly recommended and will be considered if I come again next time

The place is located at the border of the ancient city. Therefore it’s easy to reach all places by feet or taxi and plenty of restaurants are around. Even by minus degrees you will not feel cold in the rooms and the shower water is close to steam… - breakfast was included and is a simplified Chinese breakfast. Coffee is basically not available. Cleaning could be better especially in bathroom. The place is led by young couples and they are helpful for any organization needed, even though just with translation. Overall it’s a good option in Shangri-La for which you should not plan more than one day & night visit.

Great location, only 100m to Dukezhong ancient city and able to appreciate the local ******* culture. There are plenty of food shops preparing tasty local ******* cuisines. Very helpful counter staff to share with us in Mandarin to take the local bus #3 to the ******* temple and bus #12 to the Napa grassland respectively. Great value for money as the room allocated to me has direct view of the Great wheel and temple on Tortoise Hill.

Staff very friendly. They help me to book package to Balagezong. The room also clean when i arrive. They also do room cleaning service. The breakfast also okay because you can request what you want. (Im a muslim traveler) Next to the hotel got shop that sell ******* craft. Sure will come again here.
