My friend was having bad high altitude sickness - headache and feeling horrible. Hotel was very thoughtful and upgraded her room to one with oxygen supply machine. Thankful that it helped her sleep well through the night Hotel is well located and rooms are clean Picture shows the oxygen machine installed in the room

Great experience with a friendly and courteous staff. The breakfast buffet was delicious as well.

Holiday Inn lives up to expectations. Counter staff are well trained. My husband was having high altitude sickness and short of breath. The piped in oxygen was shut off during daytime. He called the counter staff and only after 3 times did they agreed to turn it on. However, maintenance staff did not respond fast enough. My husband had to personally go down and speak to the counter staff and express his unhappiness. Counter staff understood his unhappiness and personally apologized and confirmed everything is in order. Good damage control. Highly recommended hotel.

It is a great location. Front desk provided good service. Great breakfast buffet, a lot of food to choose. We will stay here again.

The room is got some bad smell. And the room decoration is like not yet finish renovated the wall still got pen drawing. On the corridor to the room got bad smell from restaurant. Also the oksigen also not use. No oxygen flow

I had a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La Holiday Inn Express, and I’d like to give a special shoutout to Summy, the manager on duty during my visit. From the moment I checked in, Summy was warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly during my stay, offering great local tips and even assisted with our car rental. Despite being busy, she remained calm, professional, and always had a smile. Her service truly made a difference and elevated my entire experience at the hotel. Summy is a fantastic representative of the IHG brand, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves! Highly recommended if you’re staying in Shangri-La — especially if you get the chance to be assisted by Summy!

Overall a worthwhile stay as there is a good breakfast, laundry facilities and a fantastic room that parallel 4-5 star restaurant. Only gripe is the pillows are too thin.

Friendly staff, even upgraded our room and let us to late check out until 2 pm. clean room, the only thing is the indication of the shower ,it’s reversed, it’s a bit dangerous when you using cold water

Decent location in Shangrila. Breakfast was decent, but not great. Pillow options were lacking. The soft and medium pillows were all way too soft. We didn't sleep very well on our 3 nights there. Also, the cleaning team does not pay attention to the Do Not Disturb light or sign on the door knob. No matter what, they will come into your room to replace the towels and water. While we did appreciate the new water replacement, if a customer has Do Not Disturb, it means do not come into the room at all. It does not matter if we are not in the room. The cleaning people and the desk staff were all very kind and answered any questions. We had no problems checking in or checking out. Our room was quiet and clean. They gave us a room upgrade for free, which we appreciated.

Best stay in Yunnan province! Was received by super friendly English speaking staff and I asked for a quiet room. I'm a light sleeper and the room facing the inside of the hotel has no noise and I slept very good! First time in an hotel that the mattress has heating! Thanks for the hospitality of the staff and the manager!

It was a very good stay, staff was very kind and helpful. Service was great as well. location of hotel is very convenient, many good eateries nearby and all within 30 minutes drive of famous hotspots in shangri-la. Would come back again
