I needed to get to class early, so I stayed at the hotel right next to the school. It was super convenient – just a few steps from North Gate 2 once I was inside the school. Guests also get half-price parking. The room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were excellent. Overall, it was a good experience. I didn't take any photos, but the room pretty much matched the promotional pictures. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance.

The hotel's location right next to Tongji University was incredibly convenient for dropping off my child at school. Service was excellent; the cute robot attendant delivered takeaways directly to my room. The room had a compact layout, and I think providing disposable toilet seat covers would be a nice touch. There was also no hook or rack for towels in the bathroom.

This is the former Bailan Hotel, now operating under the Radisson Group. The rooms are very clean, and all the decor is RED-themed, which is quite appealing and makes the hotel very memorable. Its location is also super convenient, just a 6-minute walk to the Line 10 Metro Station. One evening, I ordered takeout to the lobby, and a very cute robot delivered it right to my door. I was truly impressed by how advanced technology has made everything so incredibly convenient!

The location is great, very convenient for getting around, and close to the subway. All the hotel staff, from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance, were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service.
However, to be completely honest, the facilities are quite dated. Although there was a renovation a few years ago, it felt like a superficial update at best. The windows offer very poor soundproofing, and the building's infrastructure definitely shows its age. The air conditioning is excessively noisy, and street noise is easily audible. On top of that, the A/C unit itself is old and leaks coolant, making the room feel incredibly damp and leaky. While the maintenance team responded very promptly and the hotel staff were accommodating, these fundamental issues really affected my experience.

Located a bit off from the main attractions if here for tourism but if you don’t mind a convenient five minute walk to the metro you can easily access everything. In terms of value the hotel is a 10/10. Friendly staff, recently renovated and designed very thoughtfully. No carpet turns out to be a blessing in the humidity of Shanghai summers as we’ve learned from other hotels we stayed during our trip. Spacious rooms with excellent pillows, modern design, quality toiletries, powerful hair dryer. Service was friendly. Lobby had a bar and pool table. Food menu and drinks available to room at a very normal and reasonable price. Automatic lights under the end tables provide a small amount of light when getting up to use the bathroom at night. If you don’t mind being a bit away from the center it’s a 10/10.

I think the only reason that most people book this hotel is that it's super close to Tongji University. Other part of it is decent. It was recently renovated but still cannot compete with real hotel brands. The color scheme and decor - bright red and contrasty black - is probably more youthful than those academic travelers going to Tongji for conferences and lectures. But it serves the purpose and is a decent place.
