It's cheap, close to the station, and 10 minutes away from Yewon, so it's nice. However, the bed was rather stiff, and the shower was uncomfortable. + service was good, kind

The location of this hotel is great and the personnel is friendly but it's sad to see how bad and unhealthy the hygiene is. I would fire the cleaning personel in a second and i would look into the problem of the ants that enter into the room from the halway (i would recommend professional pest control). Personally i will not choose this hotel again, even if its one of the cheapest.

There is no door to separate toilet and bedroom. The bed is really hard. And what bother me the most is the smoke of cigarette from other rooms. The receptionist told me that they use ventilation system connected all rooms AND they allow smoking in room, so there is nothing they can do, except we have a sleepless night. I wonder how fire alarm system would work with that cigarette smoke?

Very polite staff, helped me to order food. The room smelled like cigarettes, though I requested non-smoking room. The mattress is hard. Location is great

This was the worst sleeping experience of my life. The bed is like sleeping on a rock. I actually woke up with bruises on my hip from side-sleeping. The other guests were constantly talking/yelling at all hour, and they're essentially right outside your door. The reception people were very nice, though.

Found small roach & bedbug in room. None of rooms have window to outside, only a small window to hallway. Great location, 2 blocks from Bund Rd or Yuyuan Garden, very close 2 mins walk to subway

Very friendly staff. The hotel was under construction, but didn’t trouble us. Aircon wasn’t heating up well. But they took care of it when I told them, and they gave me a gift package to compensate

Location was great being walking distance to Yu Garden, The Bund, and Nanjing Road East. It was hard to find because I arrived at Shanghai in the evening so it always a challenge looking for hotels at night. Check-in was simple because I showed my passport and desk clerk was able to organise my room booking without conversation. I found the reception, hallways, and elevator areas are in need of a facelift. The room was great with my own bathroom and I actually like a hard bed, acoustics need improvement because you can hear the conversation in the rooms next to you. For my time I just needed a place to sleep by myself, affordable and small because I was sightseeing all day and night. Coming from a country where smoking is banned inside public areas and some outdoor spaces for events. The smell cigarette smoke was everywhere, even if you shut the one window - it still found a way in. This place is ok for short stays if you can put up with it's condition and that fact people ignore the smoking signs. I found out on my last day that the nearest subway station was 200m from the hotel which was annoying because I was walking the Nanjing Road East station every day and getting off there. So maybe a simple public transport map of the nearest subway stations/bus stops at reception for tourist to take a photo of would be really helpful.
