Dengba Inn (Shanghai Aegean Shopping Center Longbai Xin Cun Subway Station Branch)

Advantages: The overall environment of the inn is good, the public area is relatively large, the air conditioning is powerful, and the service of Xiao Zhou and others at the front desk is very good. Disadvantages: The 6-person room I stayed in was probably occupied by long-term residents. It was filled with various boxes and the public area was occupied. When I moved in, I had almost nowhere to put my shoes. I had to put them on the stairs. It was difficult to open the suitcase, so I had to put it in the cabinet with the suitcase.

The hostel is in the same building as JI hotel, on the 4th floor, facing Citigo hotel. The price is great for the location. It is close to a metro station. The nearest railway and airport is Shanghai Hongqiao. Note that it is far from Shanghai Pudong Airport and Shanghai Railway Station (about 20-30 minutes by car if traffic is smooth). The room is ok, the staff is friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. Disposable towels and toiletries will be provided. The toilet and shower are separate, but there is no bidet in the toilet. There is a water dispenser that you can use to fill up your water bottle. Unfortunately, our room was located in front of the common area. A lot of guests go there to work, chat and eat, so it is a bit awkward to enter and exit the room. They can also see a small part of the room when you open the door. Finally, we checked out in the afternoon and asked if we could leave our luggage in the lobby because our flight was in the evening. We were told that the fee for storing it for a day was 10 yuan per piece of luggage, even though we only stored it for 6 hours. Since we could not carry the luggage while moving around, we had no choice but to pay the fee. We have been to other hostels in other countries and this is the first time we have been charged for luggage storage. Despite the fee, the luggage was just left next to the elevator and Taobao package delivery. We didn't know if anyone was looking after them. When we came back to pick up the luggage, the staff didn't give us any return tickets. We just took the luggage and left. It's terrible. There are many long private rooms in the hotel. People smoke directly on the bed. The aunt sees it but doesn't care. The sanitation is not cleaned. It's a mess. The toilet is not cleaned.
