Shanghai Moxi Apartment (Chenghuangmiao Yuyuan Branch) Reviews

If you don't have a budget, it's okay to stay here because the space is large and the location is good. However, if you are picky about hygiene, I don't recommend it. We only stayed a few hours so we didn't need an expensive hotel.

Apartment is in a very old Building. Its not especially a building for hotel apartments. Its commercial building where are officies and other small apartments. Location is nice.

Sadly the place is not as described. First of all you enter to a building in a very narrow street with full of dirt and we could not identify where to go first until we asked to somebody. The apartments are located at the 6th floor of this building. The building looks not good maintained. The reception is a room where you see after you leave the elevator. This is not a hotel it is just some apartments in a weird place which you can rent. The building did not seem well maintained and safe at all. The room itself was big but sadly dirty. Also we chose the room as it was saying it is non smoking but the smoke detectors were taped and the room smelling like cigarettes a lot. Bed and pillows were not comfy. Bathroom was dirty. There was a small kitchenette but not even one cup or plate to use (why to have a kitchen?). Only thing we liked was the central location in the city. It was very easy access to many areas such as bund and the old town. Also the personel was nice. But overall the maintenance and cleaning was bad. We would not come back again.

The night view from the double room is spectacular! Location is convenient, right by an exit of Yu Yuan station.

Very nice location, right beside the Yuyuan Garden Station and walkable to The Bund, Temple of God and Nanjing Pedestrian Street. For first timer, it's challenging to find it as you need to enter an alleyway before getting to the elevator to the 6th floor. Nevertheless it was a decent stay.

This is like Airbnb. The apartment block is just next to Yu Garden metro station Exit 1 lift. Walk towards Yu Garden and there's a lively night market. Also relatively near The Bund. The apartment block looks old though. To reach our room, we need to walk thru a corridor that is rather dirty/messy with lots of belongings of the people who lived there. Not sure if they are residents or guests. Can be a fire hazard. The room is relatively clean but not what you see in the pictures. We don't get a view of the Bund. We look into the next block. There's a washing machine but we didn't use cos there's no dryer. They give out disposable towels every day which is more hygienic.

Rooms are good, but the halls are busy and not clean. Great location. Entrance inside a mall. It is a good price, if you dont mind the mall and the halls, you should go

The apartment was in a great location very close to you garden and metro. Staff were accommodating and nice. However it could do with more cleaning. The hallways were dirty and would have neighbors trash piles. The shower could’ve used a bit more cleaning.

Only thing great about this place is the proximity to the metro.  The room we had was dusty and not cleaned.  Shower was clogged.  No real towels.   I would not recommend and would not stay here again.

Great location nearby the mrt station. Walking distance to Yuyuan. Bathroom was quite small. Room was fine.

The office people are very friendly. They help us with things extra like letting us refilling drink water, using clothing pegs, etc. Location is very strategic, above the shopping center and very close to you garden old street.

The service was very good and professional. There was a small incident and the staff helped us to address the issue with very good attitude. But the management need to do a better job of ensuring proper upkeep of the furniture and appliances. The location is superb though, just next to Yuyuan Garden train station, very convenient for traveling. The bed is very firm, we are good with it and slept well. The air conditioning was also very good. Overall quite comfortable.

Very good hotel in a nice location in city center next to Yuyuan garden. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend this place
