JI Hotel (Shanghai Longchang Road Subway Station) Reviews

Was really looking forward to my stay but was severely disappointed. I specifically requested for a non-smoking room but the moment I opened the room door, I can smell cigarette smoke. I ended up switching rooms three times, and each one had the same issue. Apparently, the hotel uses centralized air conditioning, which circulates the smoke smell throughout. Although there are multiple ‘non-smoking’ signages in the hotel, there were still people smoking in the lift and in the room. I gave this feedback to the receptionist but they said ‘there’s nothing they can do if the guests want to smoke in their room - they can’t put cctv in the room to stop them.’ Wow. I gave up in the end and slept with air conditioning off for the night just to avoid the smell. To make matters worse, when I changed to the third room, the technician sent to accompany me was rude and impatient. He even blamed me for forgetting my room number—after I’d been moved around three times! It’s such a shame, because the hotel itself is new and nicely designed with strategic location, and could have been a comfortable stay. But the poor smoke control and unprofessional staff completely ruined the experience. Would not recommend.

overall is good experience with breakfast included. the room is clean and the food is good.

Muji Inspired hotel. Within walking distance to the Lonchang Metro (Line 12). A bit far off from the City Center though. There is a Small Convenience Store & Eatery next to the Hotel. Very clean, hospitable Staff’s and array of foods for breakfast. Highly recommend. TQ for making my SH trip memorable as I felt at home.

It's ok

The location is nice and very near to the line 12 Metro station. There is also a convenience store beside it and selling most of the daily use items. The rooms are clean and the environment is quiet. Coffee/Expressso machine is available at the lobby free of charge.

Supper continent location, very efficient services when needed. Would be better if the gym can have a few more equipments..

Near to the station but not near city Centers room is clean and staff are friendly. Convenience stall next door and noodle sjop if you get hungry
