Overall, okay. But I have mixed feelings. The main issue for us personally was the location right inside the “red lights” backstreet inside the market (if you understand what I mean). It was safe, but not pleasant personally for us. And I don’t know for what purpose, but both our mattress and pillows had sort of plastic cover (felt like plastic bags or waterproof cover), which were not comfortable for sleep as that was noisy and made us sweating during night. Big towels are not provided. Only small size (for hands/face). But you can have multiple of them downstairs. On the other hand, they had elevator, water refill stations, shampoo, shower gel etc. The bathroom was clean. Room was a bit outdated, but quite clean. So for price not bad. The host was nice man, very friendly. So this is sort of personal opinion, but can’t say this was great or bad experience. Just average I guess

If you're looking for the perfect spot to explore Seoul, Karrot hostel is ideally located near Jongno and DDP. It's less than a 5-minute walk to the airport bus stop, making it very convenient for travelers. The restaurants are all very Korean, with affordable prices, so finding a place to eat won't be an issue, and you'll have a special cultural experience. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, and the bedding is clean and hygienic, ensuring a comfortable stay. If you're looking for a convenient and cozy place to stay in Korea, I highly recommend Karrot hostel!

Nice hotel, very cozy room with great location in the city center

Nice area in city centre. Located near the food market and giant clothes mall. Also bus stop in 2 min metro is in 10 min of walking.

Location: The hostel is conveniently located between two metro stations, making it easy to explore the city. However, it's in a bustling market area with nearby restaurants, so there might be a risk of encountering pests.. Room: The room was surprisingly spacious, allowing me to comfortably unpack my luggage. The mattress was a bit firm for my liking, but the pillows were perfect. I appreciated the unlimited supply of garbage bags, which made it easy to keep the room clean. The room key was a bit old-fashioned and heavy. Amenities: While the hostel doesn't provide a kettle or mugs in the room, there's a convenient water dispenser at the entrance. Unfortunately, they only provide face towels, so be sure to bring your own bath towel. The room is equipped with a hair dryer and a selection of complimentary toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, face wash and body wash. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I had a pleasant stay at the hostel. The staff (Sam) was incredibly helpful and responsive, especially when I made my last-minute booking. The convenient location and spacious room were definite pluses.

We enjoyed staying at this place. It’s not far from the center, there are lots of convenience stores and pharmacies nearby. Gwangiang market is also within a walking distance. The room seemed pretty clean and comfortable, but unfortunately with no windows. The host is very helpful and hospitable. Overall, quite a nice place to stay in Seoul.

I don’t have clear pictures of the room but jongno is the best the place is clean and you can rest well there i recommend this for those are low budget ☺️☺️

The location is convenient. Can walk to JW Marriott end of DDM in 5 minutes, the 5 gu Metro station is just right outside the motel also, which is handy to go to Anguk area, to visit the Onion Cafe. For shopping around DDM area, it is around 15 minutes walk, but this end of DDM has no shading, so a bit hot if walk to DDM design center. The shops in DDM open until 3-5am so its handy to find supermarket after mid night or grab a coffee, or buy some clothes after mid night. Overall its easy location. But the motel need to include a map to find it as the door sign is in Korean so not easy to find the motel front unless someone knows Korean. Lucky the taxi driver took me to the front door and showed the entrance, else its not easy to know which door to go in for the motel. Local shops around the motel are basic. Walk to DDM has more choices to buy food or normal items.
