Scenic Hotels in Weixi

"I had such a great stay in Tacheng, thanks to the hotel’s owner! When I planned my Yunnan trip and asked AI to help me (because of the lack of online information in English), and it recommended me to go to Tacheng to see the snub-nosed monkeys, little did I know that nothing could be done there without a car. Fellow travelers, just so you know: there are no bus stations nor taxis in Tacheng. I of course only realized it once I arrived. I felt dumb (no I do not have a car nor a driver), but the hotel’s owner was super kind and gave my friend and I free roundtrip rides, to the hotel and in the early morning to the Snub-nosed Monkey Park (that is closeby). Because the closest restaurant was 42 km away, we were given a generous and delicious dinner. (It was supposed to be 50 rmb but at the end the boss made it free.) I’m vegetarian and the boss accommodated me. The breakfast, that was included in the price, was also generous and delicious. As for the hotel, it was beautiful and comfortable. There’s a really nice living room (we were given free fruits and free beer!) and a really nice patio as well. The room was clean, the pillows were so soft and the shower was surprisingly techno. I slept very well, even though a rooster started to crow in the early morning (so remember to close the window before going to sleep). In the evening, we walked in the surroundings and I liked it so much, it was picturesque and peaceful. My stay in Tacheng could’ve been a nightmare but thanks to the hotel’s owner, I really enjoyed it (and I got to see the famous snub-nosed monkeys!) So I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, where I didn’t expect so much kindness and generosity."

When I was looking for a nearby hotel on Ctrip, I found the highest-rated Weixi Tianyu Tacheng Boutique Inn. The hotel is very close to the Golden Monkey National Park. I decided to give it a try. I checked into Weixi Tianyu Tacheng Boutique Inn with my mentality, and finally got a very good accommodation experience. Weixi Tianyu Tacheng Boutique Inn is located in Tacheng Town surrounded by green mountains. The geographical location and natural environment are very good. It can be seen that the hotel design is fresh and unique, and many details are very careful. The hotel building has both a courtyard garden landscape and a large rice field. With the rolling green hills, sitting on the balcony of the room facing the unique pastoral scenery, it is very relaxing and refreshing, which makes people forget to leave. I really want to stay here quietly for two more days. I feel that this is really a very good leisure vacation choice. I was very moved when I heard the boss of Gongbuludu from Tianyu Tacheng talk about the development history of Tianyu Tacheng and the grand plan to rebuild Tacheng. I sincerely hope to come here again in a while, facing the green rice fields and green mountains, it is so quiet. Stay for a few days, carefully experience the scenery of this otherworldly countryside and record the beautiful scenery in front of you. I hope to return to Tacheng in a few years to witness the magnificent achievements of the Jinsha River Hydropower Project and the happy life of the people of Tacheng after reconstruction."

"I went to the Golden Monkey National Park and chose this accommodation. I was very satisfied and a pleasant stay. The boss’s family was sincere and enthusiastic, kind and simple, the homestay was clean and hygienic, the yard was exquisite, and there was a small farm. The children liked it very much. The boss’s morning, lunch and evening meals were very careful, and the ingredients were fresh. They are all chickens and pigs raised by themselves and vegetables grown by themselves. They are very delicious. It feels like home to stay at his house and the experience is great! If you also come to Weixi, I highly recommend his homestay, it must be five-star praise!"

Because it was a little inside, no one around could hear it. Later, I asked a middle-aged staff member who was clearly behind the hotel and told us that there was a road going straight up and the monkey watching point was a few numbers. We walked to the tired vomit in the direction pointed, and the way up the mountain was actually very dangerous. I called later and realized that we had gone the wrong way. It was clear that we stayed for a night to watch monkeys, and we should have reminded them. It was clear that we didn’t know the way, and the directions should have been clearer. We all slid down the mountain! I’m still very angry when I think about it now."
