Hotels with Rooftop Pools in Hue

"Overall I had a great experience until the last night ( Saturday night) when the hotel was fully booked for some kind of very wild Vietnamese people- big families with around 50 kids of different ages ( they came to celebrate the birthday) in total who ruined my sleep at 5:40am and then again ( after I told them to shut up) at 07:40 am so I couldn’t fall asleep anymore ( I worked till 01:00 am and wanted to sleep at least till 0900)🤦🏼♀️ Their kids are running the hallway from early morning screaming with doors opened into their rooms where their parents are shouting at each other ( those uneducated people from the villages can’t talk quite). You can hear it with your door closed very loudly ( my alarm rings even quieter). The evening before they were singing karaoke in the meeting room next to the lobby bar ( in the main building), so I could hear it in my room on 5th floor. I don’t understand why hotel management allows these such big groups which don’t even know to to respect other guests especially in 5* hotel to stay at such famous brand hotel ( Meliá) . Those kind of the LOCAL guests just ruin the image of the hotel! I pay money for 5* hotel to have a good sleep, but not to be disturbed by other guests 24/7 who have no manners and do not teach their kids how to behave in such places. My suggestions for a light sleepers to AVOID this hotel on WEEKENDS as you probably won’t be able to sleep. I have been living in Vietnam for 7 months ( mostly in 4-5* hotels ) and noticed that is a common practice for some Vietnamese to gather whole village and book 5* star hotel for weekends for celebrations. I had the same issue in very nice 4* hotel in Hoi A where I stayed during 6 weeks. Every weekend it was a nightmare for me (in the night and early morning!). In all other aspects if you come to Kobi during the week this is amazing hotel! Beds, views, ONSEN, breakfast….and staff are amazing! Thanks to everyone who works in this hotel for providing a high quality service."

"The hotel is perfectly located to explore all the beautiful places of Hue! Room was big with comfortable beds and big bathroom👍. Staff so friendly and helped us in everything with competent advice! So appreciated. Almost forgot: breakfast is a tasty mix of western and Vietnamese dishes. 😊"

"The hotel was a pleasant surprise and great value for money. The room was very spacious, the floor tiles were very beautiful, the terrace was very comfortable, there was an enclosed courtyard in the middle, the hotel swimming pool was also quite large, the staff were very good, they would take the initiative to help open and close the car door, take the luggage, etc., and would smile and say hello when they saw the guests. I felt very good staying here for two days, and I will choose this place again when I come to Hue next time."

"Great hotel with a beautiful view of the river. Polite and friendly service. Fantastic breakfasts, large selection of products. Very nice cleaning lady. The hotel itself has its glory days behind it, but it is clean and the service is good. Those who do not like noise should rent rooms on the river side. They will gain not only silence, but also a very beautiful view plus a balcony. It is noisy on the street side until midnight, because there are pubs in the vicinity of the hotel."

"A very cool hotel in terms of location and nature. Lots of butterflies, bugs, geckos, and almost no mosquitoes and no cockroaches at all. There is a large swimming pool, I really liked it. The room is interesting, pass-through, with huge doors to the garden, a cool shower. But the beds with spring mattresses, uncomfortable and creaky, need to be changed to springless. Above the beds there is a mosquito net (I did not use it). Change the mattresses to normal ones and it will be 5 out of 5."

"The place is really nice and grandiose ^^  It’s located in a nice, lively but not too noisy area. About 25min from Hue Imperial City by walk :) We are not sure if it was a weekend thing but the road in front of us was closed to vehicles so it became a walking street which was very nice to visit at night and enjoy the local scene ^^  The rooms are large and comfy and the balcony was facing the street so we had a nice view during the night of the local area :)  Breakfasts was quite large, inviting and delicious :P. A bit of everything for everyone"

"This is the hotel I always stay at when I come to Huye. The location is good and although it is not large, it is a good hotel for the price. There is a good restaurant in front, Yeohaeja Street is in front of the hotel, and it is great value for money."

"The ladies at check in desk very friendly and helpful. Male not helpful. Hotel in convenient location but in all not as good as an experience as I’ve had at other hotels. They didn’t give us water on our second day. Room wasn’t cleaned. Bed was comfortable. But curtains very thin so light comes in all night. And AC didn’t work properly. It took it 5 hours or more to cool room down. Had to use fan to cool down, balcony door didn’t lock. On a whole not the best stay I’ve had in Vietnam which was disappointing."
