They are SO good at actually listening to guest requests and making things happen without any fuss. Right from the start, they hit us with their amazing amenities—specifically, their unlimited fresh welcome drink. Trust me, after walking around in the Bangkok heat, walking into that lobby and having access to that delicious, ice-cold drink is easily one of the best perks ever. It instantly refreshed us every single time. The real game-changing moment, though, was on our last day. We wanted to do one massive, final shopping run before leaving, and the staff didn't even blink when we asked them to hold onto all of our heavy luggage. Because of them, my wife and I got to tear through the malls completely hands-free without dragging bags around. It made the whole day so much fun instead of a logistics nightmare. The hotel itself is just stunning and everything feels super fresh and modern. Also, a random but massive plus: their ironing service is incredible. My clothes were looking pretty sad and wrinkled from the suitcase, but they got everything looking crisp and perfect so fast. It’s rare to find a hotel where the staff genuinely seems to care about your trip, but these guys nailed it. Huge thank you to the team—you guys made our trip fantastic."

"The second room I booked wasn't as spacious, and the window was smaller than the previous one. I thought they'd be the same size and didn't check carefully, so I was quite confident when I arrived, only to find it was different from my last stay. I went back and checked the order, and indeed, there was a 10-square-meter difference. The decor is very modern, unlike many hotels with outdated facilities. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. It was a good experience. There's a shuttle buggy that takes you to the BTS, which is super convenient. "I brought my girlfriend to Bangkok for the May Day holiday. At 1000 RMB a night, this hotel is definitely on the higher end in Bangkok. The decor and color scheme are indeed very photogenic. However, for a 'design hotel' at this price point, the hairdryer situation was quite a letdown. Here's a heads-up for anyone traveling with their significant other: the room still has one of those old Panasonic hairdryers from over a decade ago. The airflow is so weak it feels like you're blowing on your hair yourself, and it relies solely on high heat to dry. My girlfriend has long hair; at home, her 200 RMB high-speed dryer gets the job done in 5 minutes. Here, she spent 20 minutes drying her hair, and her arm was aching by the end, not to mention her hair felt incredibly frizzy. These small details really spoil the mood. We even ended up delaying our dinner reservations because of the hairdryer. For a design hotel that prides itself on modernity, the hardware clearly hasn't kept up with the times. In an era where high-speed motors are commonplace, such inefficient equipment truly clashes with the hotel's avant-garde style. I hope management addresses this shortcoming; even for the sake of guest efficiency, it's time for an upgrade."

Nestled in a quiet alley just a 7-10 minute walk from the Ratchathewi BTS Station, it offers a peaceful retreat while keeping the bustling energy of Siam and Pratunam within easy reach. Comfortable Rooms & Exceptional Sleep The highlight of the room was undoubtedly the sleep quality. The mattress and pillows are exceptionally plush—often cited by guests as some of the most comfortable in Bangkok. My room was immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed with: • Smart TV for easy streaming. • Reliable, high-speed WiFi. • Daily housekeeping that maintained a high standard of hygiene. Seamless Service & Thoughtful Amenities The hospitality here feels genuine. The staff are incredibly accommodating, and the free electric tuk-tuk shuttle to the BTS station is a lifesaver in the Bangkok heat. Other appreciated touches included the 24/7 complimentary coffee/tea station in the lobby and the convenient luggage-weighing scale—perfect for those planning a shopping spree at nearby MBK or Platinum Fashion Mall. Location & Local Vibe While the hotel is in a ”slower” part of the district, stepping around the corner reveals a vibrant local scene. There are multiple 7-Elevens nearby and an abundance of affordable street food stalls and massage shops that provide a much more authentic experience than the typical tourist traps. Minor Considerations • Space: Like many boutique hotels in central Bangkok, the rooms (especially the Smart King) are cozy. If you have large suitcases, you might find it a bit tight. • Sound: Soundproofing could be improved, as noise from the hallway can occasionally drift into the room. Overall Verdict: With its stylish design, superb breakfast buffet, and top-tier service, VELA be Bangkok Ratchathewi offers incredible value for money. It is an ideal choice for travelers who want to be near the city center without sacrificing the quiet, local feel of a traditional neighborhood. I would certainly return for those pillows alone!"

"Every year we visit Bangkok to pay respects at the Erawan Shrine, and this time we decided to try the Baiyoke Sky Hotel, despite its mixed reviews online. I was a bit apprehensive, but honestly, my only thought after staying there was – why didn't I come sooner! 1) Service and Check-in: The front desk staff were very friendly and polite, and check-in was quick. After checking in, they not only gave us a fruit cocktail voucher for the 83rd floor but also an ice cream coupon for the kids, which was a really thoughtful touch. 2) Room Experience: We stayed on the 55th floor in a room with a 1.8-meter king bed and a 1.3-meter single bed. The room was very spacious. Although it's an older hotel, and the facilities show their age, the room was very clean. Besides a refrigerator, it also had a bathtub for the kids to play in, but the best part was undoubtedly the breathtaking, unobstructed Bangkok city view. 3) Breakfast and High-Altitude Experience: During our stay, we had all our meals at the restaurant on the 83rd floor. The food selection was incredibly rich and varied. The restaurant staff were not only very friendly but also quick to replenish dishes. Plus, with our room key, we could access the 360-degree revolving viewpoint on the 84th floor for free, both day and night, offering panoramic views, including the Chao Phraya River in the distance. The view was absolutely stunning. 4) Surroundings and Night Market: Right downstairs from the hotel is Pratunam Market, Bangkok's largest wholesale center, and next door, Platinum Fashion Mall boasts over 2,000 shops. The Pratunam Night Market is also right beside the hotel, offering endless browsing for days. Just a left turn downstairs, you'll find massage parlors, a 7-Eleven, and various restaurants. Central World and Big C are also only about a 15-minute walk away. The only minor drawback is that the street downstairs can be a bit chaotic, a stark contrast to the hotel, but its convenience and lively atmosphere make up for it. I personally love this authentic local vibe. 5) Transportation Convenience: It's a 5-10 minute walk to Ratchaprarop Station on the Airport Rail Link, which takes you directly to Suvarnabhumi Airport in 25 minutes. One stop further to Phaya Thai makes it convenient to transfer to the BTS Green Line. If you want to avoid crowded subways or BTS during peak hours, it’s also easy to hail a taxi using Grab or Bolt right outside. In summary, while Baiyoke Sky Hotel is an older establishment, it has been renovated, and our stay was excellent. Next time we're in Bangkok, we'll definitely be back to stay here again!"

"The room is rather new and spacious. It has everything in it. The bed is large and comfy,and of course very clean. The staffs are very friendly and attentive. Smooth check-in Location wise is very strategic, a minute walk from MRT (Blue Line) exit which also connecting to One Bangkok Mall which is also another new shopping Mall, less crowded in a good way, food court as well as Big C supermarket are there a walking distance to Lumpini Park for evening stroll if you are arriving from DMK just hop on airport bus A3 and alight at Lumpini park /One Bangkok, the bus conductor will very much happy to assist you. Or arriving and departing via BKK suvarnabhumi very much straightforward by using Airport Link train"
