"The pool area was very comfortable and perfect for a vacation. However, on the day we checked in, we were given the wrong room type – not the one with a bathtub as requested through Ctrip. The next day, we discovered the air conditioning was broken, and to our surprise, it wasn't fixed all day. We had to wait until the evening for repairs, and then an additional hour for it to actually be fixed. It was a lot of hassle."

"This is an established hotel, and I really liked the room. It was grand and retro, full of delightful details, and the mattress was incredibly comfortable. The service absolutely lives up to its five-star rating – truly exceptional. They pay great attention to detail and are very thoughtful. Check-in was a personalized service, unlike a traditional front desk. The beach is a bit far, requiring a walk through an underground passage for about five minutes. There's too much seaweed in the water, making for a very poor swimming experience. I prefer fine sand. The hotel is quiet, suitable for business trips, and conveniently located. For fellow travelers who love beaches, I'd advise caution with this choice; you might prefer a hotel on Saadiyat Island instead."

"The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the room decor is so cozy. The front desk offers free coffee and a variety of desserts that go perfectly with breakfast. Dinner features fresh fruit. Drinks at dinner cost extra, but the breakfast coffee service was excellent, and the staff worked hard. I was very satisfied and they even helped me extend my check-out to 2 PM. I booked a room with a balcony, which was great because I could smoke there. So happy!"

"Our family had a pleasant three-night stay at VOGO Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa from 29 December to 1 January, enjoying the comfortable facilities and beautiful golf course surroundings. Overall, it was a positive experience with a few areas that could be improved. The hotel provides valet parking, which is very convenient, especially when traveling with children and luggage. Most staff we encountered were polite and helpful, although service quality can feel inconsistent at times. One minor disappointment was the check-in experience: the receptionist shook her body in a dismissive way while speaking to us, which did not match the professional standards expected of a five-star hotel. Our room was spacious and generally clean, with the highlight being the lovely golf club view from the window, which made our stay feel relaxing and resort-like. Cleanliness was acceptable, with housekeeping keeping the room in reasonable condition, though not outstanding compared with some other luxury properties. On the first day, the pump of the shower gel dispenser was not working, which was inconvenient after a long day.After we left a note for the hotel on the second morning, the issue was fixed promptly, and the dispenser worked properly for the rest of the stay, showing that the team is responsive once informed. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options including Middle Eastern and international fusion dishes that suited both adults and children. A special thanks to Ms. Getrude at the restaurant: she was very caring toward our child, spoke to her warmly, and even remembered our daughter’s name on the second day, which made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, this resort offers a relaxing golf-view environment, convenient valet parking, and a good breakfast selection, making it a comfortable choice for families. With some refinement in front-desk attitude and more attention to small in-room maintenance issues, it has the potential to deliver a consistently five-star experience."

"I loved everything from the valet guys to the check in at the reception, the concierge, room service and Al Rimai restaurant. Special thanks to Paolo at the concierge and Nokwazi at the restaurant. The other staff too were excellent. The best part of the trip for us as a family was the food. We had all 3 buffet (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and the variety of food plus their richness/taste was exceptional. For those who can, try the cold plunge and steam room, really enjoyed them. In all, our stay at Erth hotel Abu Dhabi was a blast and we will definitely return."

"The hotel has a tennis court, which is a favorite amenity for tennis enthusiasts! It gets very crowded on weekends, mostly with families on vacation. The hotel breakfast is quite rich and varied; I especially loved the eggs Benedict."

"Dear Hotel Management， I would like to start by saying that staying at your hotel was generally a pleasant experience, but I feel compelled to share the deeply frustrating and upsetting incident I encountered at your Asian restaurant, Cho Gao. This experience left a very sour taste in my mouth, and I believe it requires your immediate attention. Upon arrival at Cho Gao, the first waitress who served us displayed a level of indifference and rudeness that left us feeling unwelcome. At first, I tried to brush it off, thinking I might be overly sensitive, but when my mother—who doesn’t speak a word of English—expressed that she, too, felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, I knew this wasn’t just my perception. As someone who has lived abroad for over a decade, I understand the importance of cultural sensitivity, but what transpired felt more like an intentional disregard for our presence. To add insult to injury, when my mom requested hot water, the waitress initially offered Jasmine tea and Earl Grey instead. I patiently explained that in Chinese culture, we prefer hot water before meals, but the waitress’s response was condescending, as though she couldn’t comprehend this simple request. After insisting we only wanted hot water, we waited for half an hour before it was finally served. I am a pescatarian and asked if the shrimp dumplings contained pork, as it is common in China. The waitress’s response was baffling and dismissive. She couldn’t seem to understand why I was asking such a question and even said, “I don’t understand your language.” This was particularly infuriating given that I’m a journalist and fully capable of communicating clearly in English, despite my accent. Her lack of understanding was not a language barrier—it was sheer indifference and poor service. We arrived at 8 p.m. and didn’t order much, yet we were informed that we would have to wait at least 20 minutes because regulars were being prioritized. While we understood this, the tone with which this was conveyed was rude and unprofessional. We never saw the original waitress again, and the remaining staff members, thankfully, were far more courteous and competent. While the service from the other staff members was better, the damage had already been done. It’s not just about the specific actions of the waitress; it was the overall tone and attitude, which felt dismissive, condescending, and unwelcoming. The fact that my mom, a Chinese tourist who doesn’t speak English, was ignored and treated differently from other guests was a glaring example of cultural insensitivity and, frankly, ******. In my experience, many Chinese tourists—especially those from older generations—are sensitive to how they’re treated abroad. They come from a background where such trips are rare and precious, and they do not deserve to be treated with disdain. The treatment we received was not just disappointing—it was insulting. As someone raised in a culture of respect and tolerance, it is painful to witness the mistreatment of others, particularly our elders. I am not one to exaggerate, but this experience was far from trivial. The waitress’s dismissive tone, the long wait for a simple cup of hot water, and the overall lack of hospitality left a lasting negative impression. Yes, she didn’t outright do anything “wrong,” but the attitude was blatantly off-putting, and it deeply impacted our experience. My mom, who is typically very forgiving, still tried to defend the waitress, teaching me the importance of patience and kindness when traveling. But after all that happened, I’m left asking: How can you expect us to remain calm and tolerant in the face of such disrespect? To be clear, the Cho Gao restaurant experience did not define our stay—this hotel overall was far better than the Grand Hyatt we stayed at earlier. But this incident stands out, and I sincerely hope that you take the time to address these concerns."

"The room type I booked was quite spacious, though the decor felt a bit dated. The direct sea view from the room was nice. I tried both the breakfast and dinner buffets; there was a good variety of dishes, but the taste was just average. A great perk was the free access to the Etihad Towers observation deck, offering panoramic views of the Abu Dhabi Presidential Palace and the coastline."

"I booked a package that explicitly advertised a room upgrade opportunity. When I noticed that no upgrade had been provided, I asked about it at the front desk. I was immediately told that upgrades were “subject to availability” and it is unavailable... After I pointed out that Abu Dhabi hotels are nowhere near full at the moment, she still said it is nearly full because it's weekend. Well lets check out the 'full occupancy' photos i attached.... :) Only after I firmly pushed back did she reluctantly offer an alternative, a garden-view room. Since I wasn't interested in a garden view, I requested what should have been my original category preference: an unblocked city view. The alternative she eventually offered was a higher-floor, but with a twin room with even more side-facing view. Having no better option, I accepted it and ended up spending my honeymoon in a twin-bed room. If the hotel is unwilling to provide upgrades, then it should stop promoting packages that create expectations in the first place. There were several other shortcomings on the part of the front desk and the guest relations, but I will leave them out of this review. What ultimately saved this stay and turned it into a memorable experience were Umar, who warmly introduced us to the room, and John from the Butler Department, whose kindness and genuine care left a lasting impression. These two gentlemen genuinely understand what true hospitality means and are among the brightest representatives of Emirates Palace. The hotel management should recognize and take good care of them, because they are the people who make guests want to return."
