Very good service at this hotel! It would be perfect if the front desk could provide better printing services! I will introduce my relatives and friends to stay in this hotel too! A great experience!
Location is decent, I apprecaited the well lit nature of area outside of the hotel at night. Bed was comfortable and came with cable/netflix. My one main complaint is that you can hear every person coming and going at night. The walls are too thin and/or people are too loud. I will say that I had great interactions with all staff members. All were kind and accommodating. Breakfast included eggs, bread, coffee, juice and fruit, a typical Ecuadorian breakfast. Another plus was the wifi was fast!

Review just based on reception as I didn't stay here. Price on-line was $25, on the door was $34 a night. Would only accept cash so would have needed to be walking around with a fair bit of cash on me to stay here. They ONLY spoke Spanish which didn't help as I only speak English. I decided to stay at the hostel at the bottom of the steps which was only $12 for an on-suite room, spoke multiple languages, arranged a taxi to the airport and gave advice. The noise coming for Hotel David STILL kept me awake. May have been better for the residents as the aimed the speakers out the window for some unknown reason other than to annoy everyone that wasn't in their hotel.

My worst experience ever, do not stay here. Smelling and very cold rooms, rude people. The water was not hot enough for shower, and when you get out of shower in a cold room is not pleasant. Very rude people! Room 45

Overall OK experience. I myself had lots of trouble with the massive amount of stairs it took to even get to the hotel itself. Two large flights of stairs to get to the lobby, and then another four to get to my room. The hotel includes breakfast which is nice and also is in a semi-safe area.

The room we were given was spacious and clean. However, it was freezing cold, and there was no heating. We had to sit with the bed blankets around us to get warm. The restaurant is on the 5th floor - don't bother climbing up all those stairs - breakfast was a croissant and some scrambled egg and some over ripe fruit. I don't eat eggs or croissants so asked if I could have a slice of toast - no I couldn't - so I had no breakfast and didn't bother climbing the stairs on any other day for nothing. The owner and the ladies at reception were very helpful and obliging, but there was one man who was very rude. One evening I went downstairs for a cigarette at 9pm - he was very grumpy and told me that the door was locked at 10pm so virtually tough if I wanted to go out again after that time. Never before have I stayed in a hotel with a curfew - I am on holiday and if I want to be out after 10 then that is my prerogative- I am not paying for a hotel to be treated like a child and given a curfew. The hotel was also noisy - some kind of renovation going on maybe.

This was by far the worst place we stayed at during our trip. First off we had arranged a pick up at the airport with the hotel that never arrived. We had to get a taxi. Although the beds were comfy and the wifi was good, the constant noise throughout the hotel led us to hardly sleep at all during our stay. Slamming doors, people talking. The noise just carries. The rooms were damp and smelled and there were zero toiletries in the bathroom. Also, we booked online beforehand, but they charged us more stating "commission" charges. We were told at first we could pay with credit card, then the second day another person said no. The hotel is also in a sketchy area. There was nothing to eat around minus the pizza place. Looking back, I wished we would have booked somewhere else and it would have made our stay so much nicer in Quito.
