location is very good

The room is very big, beautiful and unique. The floor height is very high and the roof is very beautiful. It is in the city center and is surrounded by attractions. The breakfast is okay. I will continue to stay here next time.

I am satisfied with the view from the rooftop platform. The room is small and I spend most of my time walking outside. The service staff are very friendly and can speak English. Convenient to play in the old city.

We loved everything about Friends. Our room was large with 2 beds (comfy with plenty of pillows) as requested. The rooftop breakfast was delicious. The hotel was very clean and each staff member was so nice and helpful. Only downfall was lots of steps which was not a problem for us but could be for some. We would definitely stay here again.

Incredible service, staff and atmosphere. Beautiful views of Quito from the rooftop terrace. We stayed at the Friends Hotel over New Years Eve 2024 and had such a blast at their celebration. The food was delicious, activities fun, and the opportunity to view their Ecuadorian traditions was special. 10/10 recommend. Thank you Friends Hotel!

Would recommend to anyone! The staff was wonderful and the accommodations were clean, convenient, and full of history. Great location, excellent breakfast. They even hosted a NYE celebration for the guests with Ecuadorian traditions!

Ideal location and welcoming staff, plus a great rooftop area, makes the hotel a perfect place to stay. Breakfast was good and room comfortable. Receptionist gave me all the information I needed to navigate the city and advice on where to eat. Highly recommended

Very nice experience! Lovely breakfast and great location. The staff are very helpful, suggesting tours etc and giving tips about safety. First night was a bit noisy because a festival but I was too tired to be bothered. Love to stay here again

My wife and I decided to visit Quito for a few days on our own ahead of joining a Galapagos and Peru tour. Quito had not been on my travel destinations radar. As I did a little research and learned that Quito's historical center is considered "the best preserved, least altered historical centre in Latin America" by UNESCO, I found the reviews of Friends Hotel and Rooftop here on Tripadvisor. I was a little leery of the across the board positive reviews, but they proved to be entirely deserved. We stayed three nights, December 3-6, 2024. Our queen bedded room on the third floor was excellent, despite a creaky wood floor and traffic noise that really make the case for earplugs. If you don't have tolerance for these conditions, Friends is not for you. But for us, Friends is a great value. We loved the great location, two blocks from the Plaza Grande. We loved the clean and modern en suite bathroom. We loved the helpful, friendly staff, and especially want to single out Yale at the front desk. Yale is fluent in English and we recommend you rely on her for restaurant suggestions and to arrange any needed transportation. We loved the "Rooftop" part of the hotel, where an excellent breakfast is served every morning. We would return to Friends Hotel without hesitation, and to be honest, even full price is a bargain.

Best place to stay as a visitor in Quito historic center . For the price point and walking to downtown, to the multi language staff. Plus, there are less tourist these days and it seems a lot of European tourist who speak some English use the hotel . Yale is fantastic as her all her staff.

Excellent and very riendly service at the reception and in the common rooms. Nice, clean and specious rooms. Tasty breakfast. I 'd recommend hotel everyone who likes to stay in almost city center nearby shops, restaurants, historical landmarks.

As the name suggests, very friendly staff, very clean hotel in the heart of Quito historic centre so easily walkable to the beautiful buildings and sights. Excellent fresh breakfasts too, with a fantastic view from the rooftop dining area.

Good location in the old town. Very close to the central square but very quiet street. Very clean and pretty interior decorations. Breakfast is very good served in rooftop dining room with view of the city. The staff are very friendly and helpful with all information we need.
