I wasn't sure what to expect of a minsu since I have always stayed in conventional hotels and was pleasantly surprised with the overall stay. The room was spacious, functional and clean and had all the amenities as if it was a regular hotel. The bed and pillows were too soft for my liking but I slept like a baby every night. Only wished the 'study' table was bigger though. And do note that there is no lift but they have one for luggage, so that's still OK. It is located at the quieter side of Xi Jie and if one turns right and continue walking, you will find interesting/quaint/independent local food options and even a 'short-cut' to the 1916 Creative Industrial zone (I just followed the crowd) where I spent couple of hours exploring. Which is a nice reprieve from the usual sights e.g. Xi Jie, temples. All in all, would recommend!

The room was very very nice. However, even if you selected the door card “please do my room” they would not do it and just enter to maybe add toilet paper or water. As per the rest it was fine

Choosing Wuwendongxi was a surprise! I usually stay in hotels, and this was my first time experiencing a B&B, which was beyond my expectations. In the evening, I followed the hand-drawn map to go shopping and eat, and happened to turn into Zhongshan Road. In an old teahouse hidden deep in the alley, the owner heard that we were from a B&B and recommended us Quanzhou's local Tieguanyin, which was very fragrant and delicious. The most amazing thing was the sunset on the rooftop of the B&B, when the bells of the Christian church and the Buddhist sounds of the Kaiyuan Temple intertwined, and the entire ancient city stretched into a long scroll of ink and wash in the twilight - it turns out that the so-called poetic dwelling is to let time and space fold gently at this moment.

After reading many reviews, I chose Manju Wuwendongxi B&B, and I was not disappointed. It was very comfortable to watch the night view from the small balcony of the tower room and drink the cocktails prepared by the B&B owner. The fifth-floor viewing terrace has a great view. A very comfortable trip! The guy at the front desk is very nice, gentle and friendly, and can make cocktails. The room is spacious, clean and simple, which is the style we like.
