"One of the best hotels I have been to, probably the best in China! I was planning to stay one night, but fell in love with the hotel and extended one more night!!! I was totally impressed, it was better than expected! Everyone in the reception was very friendly and attentive to all my needs. They also upgraded my room for free (unexpected surprise)!! The view was breathtaking, and it looked like a landscape painting. The overall environment was warm and quiet. The location was great, transportation was convenient, with hotel buggy helping with transfer from one building to another, and the room was super clean, good for fussy people like me. The housekeepers, Xiaoying and Xiaogu, were very thoughtful and helped me solve many problems. There is a wechat group where there's a group of people working in the hotel to help solve problems, and the response is immediate! Also, the photographer, Cai Cai, took beautiful photos with great photography skills!! I also loved the dress I rented from the shop. ❤️ Such a memorable stay, will definitely come again!! ❤️"

"The hotel has a very good location outside Yangshuo and is within a beautiful scenic area. The room has a good size and had two firm beds, which could be a little bit more comfortable. The room has a large tv, shower and bathtub. The breakfast has little selection and hardly any variety. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a sauna to use, which is mentioned in the description of the hotel. It was very nice to rent electric scooters to discover the surrounding. But the best thing about this hotel, is it staff members. They are the true asset of this hotel."

"I'm not in the habit of leaving reviews, but this stay makes me highly recommend the Free Bird Hotel!!! We originally booked a two-night family room with a pool, and we've already checked in for two nights. I'm checking out tomorrow. One night, the floor in our room leaked. After contacting the hotel, they handled it very quickly. I thought I could just change rooms, but they directly refunded me 1,268 yuan for one night! During my stay, I had any issues with the hotel, and they were always responsive and handled them properly! The service is comparable to star-rated hotels in Haitang Bay! It's even better than some! It's hard for the Free Bird Hotel not to make money with this kind of business!!! The environment and service are excellent, 100% positive reviews!"

The chef took special care to prepare unsalted meats, eggs, and vegetables for her, allowing us to customize her meals perfectly. This level of attention was a game-changer for us. The amenities were superb. We enjoyed the yoga classes (even with the baby in tow!), used the well-equipped gym, and loved relaxing by the pool. My massage was also absolutely amazing. "We had Beer Fish and Stuffed Snails with Minced Pork for lunch at the guesthouse. In the evening, we went back to West Street to try a renowned Beer Fish restaurant. Not only were there heavy traffic and massive crowds, but the Beer Fish there was also significantly inferior to what we had at our guesthouse. The next day, we didn't hesitate to order lunch at the guesthouse again. Their Bamboo Tube Chicken was genuinely cooked in a real bamboo tube, unlike the ones you often find elsewhere that are just for show. Although the guesthouse's exterior might look a bit dated and can't quite compare to the sleek, newly opened high-end B&Bs, the service and the food are absolutely impeccable. They boast a swimming pool, horse stables, serene valley views, and a terrace perfect for stargazing. It truly embodies the comfortable, laid-back country life. A perfect spot for a relaxing vacation, ideal for unwinding and just kicking back. Upon departure, they even gave us brown sugar and chili sauce as a thoughtful farewell gift."

"I booked the Zhixiang Hotel. The hotel took me to the parking lot to drop off my car. My child was in the lobby. When I returned, my room was ready. I was told it was an upgraded room type, but the window was all walled, with no view. As you can see in Figure 3, there are many vacant rooms on the street-facing side of the hotel during the off-season. I actually wish the hotel had communicated this with me in advance; I prefer a room with a good view even without an upgrade. The cleanliness was acceptable, with daily cleaning. Two bottles of water were provided, and a robot would bring anything I needed. There was a coffee machine on the first floor, but it didn't have milk, sugar packets, or spoons. The hotel is in a great location, right on West Street, perfect for strolling. Parking is quite far away, and the hotel provides electric scooters for transportation. Of course, I don't recommend driving, as riding an electric scooter is more comfortable and affordable for exploring Yangshuo. There's a travel agency downstairs that offers discounted tickets and electric scooter rentals, which was great. My child wasn't feeling well, and the hotel was helpful. However, I hope they wouldn't be so pushy about asking for good reviews, as it's a very negative experience. The customer service representative, Xiao Man, always responded promptly and was very helpful. There was a male waiter at the front desk who drove and rode a motorcycle to pick us up on the evening of October 13th. Thank you very much!"

"The hotel offers spacious rooms with an incredible mountain view—easily one of the best I’ve seen. The staff, while not fluent in English, went above and beyond to accommodate our needs with a warm and helpful attitude. The only drawback was the water heating system, which couldn’t be adjusted. I ended up using the shower inside the bathtub as it was the only outlet where I could control the water temperature. Overall, the breathtaking scenery and excellent service made the stay memorable despite this minor inconvenience."
