Hotels with Parking in Rotorua

Our stay at the Black Swan Hotel was truly amazing. Originally, we were booked at the Hana Lodge, but due to renovations, we were moved to their sister property in the heart of Rotorua. Despite the change, we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service. The room amenities were incredible. We had a free mini bar that was replenished daily, a large, comfortable bed, and breathtaking views of the lakes. The room was exceptionally clean, and all the staff members were incredibly helpful and courteous. The breakfast served from 7 am was delicious! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Rotorua.

The owner is Chinese, so communication was very smooth. The room is a duplex, with one bedroom and a bathroom downstairs, and a kitchen, living room, and another bedroom upstairs. The space isn't huge, but it's well-equipped, and the bathtub is a good size. There's a terrace upstairs with a grapevine, and downstairs has direct access to a small courtyard. However, if you're traveling with elderly people or children and have a lot of luggage, going up and down the stairs might be a bit inconvenient.

Location is excellent with lot of cafes and restaurants. I took the Intercity coach which dropped off at the tourist information site. From there it is a less than 5 minutes straight walk and then turning right to reach the hostel. Very friendly and helpful receptionist however do note it is closed at 6pm. Toilet and shower areas are very clean despite huge group during my stay. Shower gel and towel are provided which is great for me. I stayed in private single room which is good enough for me. Have kitchen with fridges, microwaves, stoves , utensils, pans , cleaning soap…… paid washing machines. U can parked your luggage after checkout for free. Walking distance to Rotorua Central Mall which has a food court and McDonald n KFC for slightly cheaper meal options. Entrance to hostel are always locked with passcode thus felt safe . I will definitely stay there if I am in Rotorua.

This hotel is by far the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to New Zealand! My wife and I stayed here during our elopement and the staff could not have been more accommodating for us. They had my wedding suit pressed and cleaned within a day and on the day of our wedding we had our wedding flowers delivered to the front desk and they delivered them to our room. The hotel is very beautiful on the outside and even more impressive inside, our room was massive, very clean and well presented. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant inside the hotel and we still talk about how good every course was (especially the dessert). I would like to say that every member of the hotel team that we interacted with during our stay were so friendly and helpful and after our wedding they all made an effort to come and congratulate us which really ment a lot to us. The hotel is situated right next to the beautiful Government gardens which is a beautiful park and a few minutes walk down the road is an amazing array of delicious restaurants.

We stayed 3 nights in this lovely motel complex. Our room was very spacious, with room to sit comfortable on the sofa. It included a mini kitchen which we used everyday. Bed very comfortable, bathroom fully quipped with excellent shower. We had double doors out to small patio area in front of a paddock which had alpacas, a sheep & rabbits roaming. On arrival given food to feed the animals if we wanted to. This added to the enjoyment. There were two of us adults, but this is also a very family oriented place with play equipment for children, so would suit families too. We used the onsite laundry services which were a great help. All in all a great stay, well looked after by the staff too.

Like a 10-15 min to food street. The first reception I met was super nice and she gave me lots of good recommendations. Tried finding reception again the next day and he disappeared and never returned. The walls are very thin and you can hear a lot. There were some ****** yelling and screaming at 10pm one night (I assume they were having their sad version of a 'party' with only 3 guys...). I put my soundproof on and slept. The shower wasn't really clean. When I turned on the water it smelt like hot piss... No exchanging of new towels and I was there for 3 days. Annoying since I went to the Hell's Gate spa and all my stuff now smells like sulphur. There also wasnt any hand soap in my bathroom. Lots of free parking which was nice.

Free parking is available on the street right outside the hotel, if you can find a spot. The front desk kindly gave us two cans of M&Ms at check-in, which was a nice touch. It's very close to the food street next door, just a 5-minute walk downstairs, and also very close to Lake Rotorua. On a clear day, you can see it easily. The park in front has ducks, pigeons, and geese. The only downside to our stay was that the sink was clogged.

We were staying in Rotorua because my mother in law had just passed away. Service was ok. The bed was too small and uncomfortable. If you move too quickly you could have rolled out of the bed There was no toaster or microwave in the room. We had to buy toilet paper and then ask the next day at the desk as it was not provided when cleaned. We did not have a sign to put on the door asking for the room to be serviced

I stayed at this hotel recently. The location is excellent — very convenient and close to transportation and restaurants. However, the breakfast buffet was just average, nothing special. Also, the room wasn’t as clean as I expected; it could have been better maintained. Overall, it’s a convenient place to stay if location is your main priority, but the cleanliness and breakfast quality could use some improvement.

The hardware facilities are complete, the free Grotto Spa in the hotel is worth experiencing, in addition to the hotel, there is a good taste of Japanese restaurant! The environment is beautiful and pleasant, the location is excellent, it is an ideal accommodation choice for Rotorua!
