The location of the hotel is great; it is pretty close to the Metro and supermarkets (Franprix and Monoprix). There are several nice restaurants around. However, the room is full of dust, and the bathroom is a little moldy at the corners of the bathtub. The water temperature is so unstable as a roller coaster. For personal reasons, I kept my privacy tag hanging on the door during my stay and cleaned the room myself. However, two staff members tried to break in for a 'wellness check,' which was quite rude. The mattress is probably the worst I have ever had in any Marriott; it made my back hurt for days.
Response from Property: Dear CMYang, Thank you for taking the time to give us a feedback on your recent stay with us. I am sorry to read that this stay unfortunately did not meet your expectations. We worked hard to fix the engineering issues you experienced and I hope you give us the opportunity to visit again soon so we can help deliver the service we should have provided since the beginning. Wishing you very safe travels, Sincerely,

Very Good

Went here for a conference. The hotel is under renovation on some levels. Overall the hotel was comfortable and the conference centre very good. Rooms are older but still fine - bed very comfortable. Minor issues with tap and airconditioning. Breakfast very good; gym also excellent. Location close to metro on the line that links direct to the Eiffel Tower. Very easy access. Staff helpful and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised after reading the latest reviews - it looks like the rooms are being improved over time which is good and needed. I had no major issues.
Response from Property: Thank you for your thoughtful feedback regarding your recent stay with us during the conference. We’re glad to hear that you found the hotel comfortable and that the conference center met your expectations. It’s great to know that you enjoyed the breakfast and found the gym excellent. We’re also pleased that you appreciated our convenient location and the helpfulness of our staff. We’re actively working on renovations to enhance our rooms and facilities, and your positive remarks about the improvements are encouraging. We take all feedback seriously, and it helps us to continue our efforts in providing a better experience for our guests. Thank you once again for your review. We hope to welcome you back soon!

Marriott Hotels are always professional, friendly & top of its class. We had good time. It was a conference and too many people were attending so that the breakfast arrangement was not as usual. It was lacking, it was understandable though. Other than that everything was great, location vise it was a little farther to city, however there were enough action going on and it was good experience I have never been that area, I got to know there as well;-)
Response from Property: Dear FreeJohnny, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent stay with us. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed the Conference attended and that you got to discover a new part of the city of lights ! I want to thank you again for this very positive feedback that motivates our team to continue providing an excellent service ! I hope we get to welcome you again very soon, Wishing you safe travels ! Sincerely,

I wish I'd listened to the few recent bad reviews that had been written about this property and kept my reservation at our original small boutique, well-rated BW affiliated hotel. However, given we were only staying a night and that it was offered for a reasonable number of points for as a Bonvoy reward, I took the jump. Elite members used to decent Marriott-branded hotels, spend the extra points and choose one of the other Paris hotels (the Westin, the other Marriott or the Renaissance). I can confirm that: -AC or the hotel's ventilation system currently doesn't work. Windows don't open. We had the vent blowing on "high" and it was just recirculating air. I have a travel clock that's also a thermometer. We never managed to cool the room below 24C. It was around 13 or 14C outside that night. Shouldn't have been that hard to cool down the room by 2-3 degrees to sleep well. I love the thick feather duvets Marriott uses, but not when the room can't be cooled down to 20-21C. When I called the service hotline, I was told they were having issues with the system and it was what it was. No offer to even bring up a fan. Nothing. It was a "oh well, too bad" attitude. -We also had toilet issues. Our toilet flushed poorly. You had to hold the flush button for at least 30 seconds to properly flush anything. -Platinum/Titanium elite members, forget about receiving any value or being recognized here. I don't expect an upgrade to a suite or the top corner room every time I stay. I understand hotels do what they can with what they have available. Their inventory shows "executive" rooms and diffetent types of suites available. We booked a standard "Paris view" king room and received a "Paris view, high floor" king room. The way the floors are built, the elevators are in the middle. There's around 15, maybe 18 rooms to the left or right of the elevator lobby on each floor. Our door was 4 doors away. Couldn't even be bothered to place us further away. That was my minimal expectation. No slippers or bathrobes in rooms here. Poor shower pressure. Good luck washing your hair if you have long ones. -Front desk: The coldest reception welcome I've received at a Marriott in a long time. I swear if Bill Marriott was still CEO, properties like this would get a call from HQ to review their staff training. We are French Canadians. The agent was struggling in French and answered us in English a few times even though we were clearly not English speakers. That was extremely odd in Paris. No mention of Bonvoy status, only that, and I quote "breakfast is not included. Because of your membership, you can take the continental buffet tomorrow morning at the restaurant. Normally, it's not included, but we don't have a lounge at the moment". Jeez louise, I felt like I was being handed a favour... -There's a "Bonvoy Elite" line for the front desk, but it was neither manned or enforced in the evening when we arrrived, or the following day at check out, where the line was all t

I am a very frequent traveler and also hold the highest status with Marriott. This hotel is an embarrassment to this chaim. I already posted a review, which was posted and then disappeared (I guess someone at this horrible hotel somehow was able to delete it). So many things about it were wrong. The check-in took forever, the people at the reception were remarkably slowww and unhelpful. This hotel supposedly underwent a major multiyear renovation, but I am not sure what they spent their money on. The rooms are clearly very old, outdated, and dysfunctional (A/C wasn't working, fridge somehow heated rather than cooled the food, the water was weird, sometimes no hot water, sometimes only hot water no matter what you did), the room stunk of very strong smoking odor, some elevators did not work. I attended a conference at the hotel that entailed a bunch of mishaps. In short, stay away. Marriott people, if you delete this post, I will post another more complete review detailing even more details of my poor experience.

This is a terrible property. I cannot understand how Marriott allows this place to carry its brand. The whole point of a brand is that it presumably assures some level of quality. I came here for a conference and would have left even after paying if I didn't absolutely need to be here. This hotel provided a bad experience from the first minute. A SLOOOOOOW check-in with an unhelpful person. A terrible room (no working aircon, stinky toilet, no hot water, foul smelling room, no water dispenser, and much more). If you are thinking of staying here--don't !!!

This hotel should be torn down. Water leaking from the ceiling in a puddle on the floor of the room I was supposed to stay in. The odor is the hotel is pungent and gave me a headache. It is not really by anything. The staff are nice and do what they can but there is not much to work with.

I love Marriott and have the highest possible status with them. This hotel is an embarrassment to the Marriott name. The wait for the check-in was ridiculously long--the 2-3 people working there seemed to be doing their best to work as slowly as they could, I was informed that the lounge has yet to open, the rooms are pathetic--the A/C doesn't work, the supposedly operational fridge did not cool at all (several items went bad), the room stunk of cigarette smoke (who allows guests to smoke these days??), the decor was unattractive. I could go on, but you get the drift. And I paid a pretty penny for this lousy stay. I can't understand how the state of this hotel is a result of a renovation (the hotel was presumably closed for a 4-year renovation project). Someone at the chain needs to do something about this hotel.

Marriott should be embarrassed their name is in this property. Everything is horrible. Rooms are old and very small, the hotel has no air conditioning at all, and there is black mold on the tiny window in the room. The hotel also has no executive lounge and offers nothing to it Platinum members to make up for it. Check in was the worst experience, as I had checked in online to speed through the process, and I had prepared for an early check in. When I arrived, I had to wait 30 minutes for my room to be ready? I asked the manager how can this be, whn I was supposed to be here last night and your property already charged me for the room? No answer at all. I was told to wait… I travel professionally and stay 200 nights a year at various hotel chains. This is by far the worst Marriott and Bonvoy experience ever. Go anywhere else, but avoid here..

Worst stay at hotel ever. -Receptionist not trained.Be aware they allocate worst rooms first to the guests. -They provide a fake number when asked about Receptionist phone number acess from room. -Air conditions in rooms not working and ventilator are very loud instead so you won't be able to sleep. -They deduct full money before you stay even if against your booking policy. -Food not clean. You may get food poisoning as I did. -Room phones not working.

One of the worst experiences as a conference venue and Marriott hotel ever ! For that price, the room are old and run down with holes in the wall and old forniture, A/C was not working , toilet didn’t flush properly, even the sockets were so bad that the phone would barely charge. I complained and they didn’t upgrade or offered a discount. Also the room was not clean with dust and a nail on the floor ! It should be closed this place .

This must be the worst Marriott hotel I have ever stayed in. Check-in to be done for hours, bad breakfast, bad bathroom (bathing is a nightmare due to low pressure water flowing from the shower), small toilet in the rooms, late room cleaning, no smart TV in the rooms in 2024... A complete disappointment for a trip to Paris..

Never paid so much for so poor quality! Room was small and outdated. Air condition was running but no cooling. Shower was mostly only too hot - lack of cold water. Cleaning was done late in the afternoon after talking to reception. Breakfast was terrible - scramble eggs were almost raw. Very poor buffet.
