Tabist Hotels Hotels in Otaru

I was very impressed by the connection between the movie-worthy old house and the modern Japanese-style hotel. Just staying here felt like an attraction in itself. However, the lighting was a bit dim at night and the lack of a drain in the bathroom floor was a bit inconvenient.

It's not far from Otaru Station, about 10 minutes away. There are no staff at this hotel, so they only help with room card processing and check-out. The room is a little unusual in shape, but it's a good size and has a small table and chairs. However, the hotel feels a bit deserted and quiet after entering. Luggage storage is at another store, not here, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk there.

Location is excellent, just a short walk from Otaru Station and the canal. Staff were friendly and helpful, making for a pleasant experience. While it serves well for a short stay, It definite need improvements in amenities and cleanliness for those looking to spend more time in the room.
