Hotel is near the all touristy places like the canal. So most things were within walking distance. We completed most things in like 2-3 hours, so in fact there wasn't a real need to stay over a night in Otaru. By evening there wasn't anything much to do so we just stayed in the room as it was raining as well. After checking out, we drove to the next destination. Hotel staffs were incredibly helpful and courteous.

Overall I had a nice stay here. They upgraded me to a room with canal view for free. The room was really comfortable. Only downside was it’s located quite far from the station. It took 15 minutes to walk to the station, which was quite a hassle with the snow. The restaurant was quite nice but expensive.
