Nice hotel and nothing more Old rooms. The food in the hotel is really bad. Dinner and breakfast were bad. Anyone who likes to eat something delicious should not go to the hotel's meals. The beach area is really good. For some reason this hotel charged me twice and luckily I saw it and fought to get my money back and it was not easy. So be careful and check

We have traveled a lot around Montenegro and stayed in many hotels, this is the worst hotel of all that we have encountered in Montenegro! The hotel was chosen because the Iberostar has always been famous for its hotels, but this one is simply a disgrace for the Iberostar. 1) the location of the hotel - the hotel is on the outskirts, there is nowhere to walk! At the same time, the hotel is located in a mountainous area and you will be forced to walk up and down the stairs all the time in the heat. 2) food - at first it seems that everything is fine with it, but this is not so, there is a lot of food and this initially makes a good impression, but after 3 days it becomes clear that firstly the food is very tasteless, they cook disgustingly, only salads and desserts are tasty, the food is the cheapest, in a week we had expensive seafood 2 times. 3) the hotel itself - everything is old!!! and very cheap, the hotel needs to be updated.

It is an all inclusive hotel and they are not mean. The quality of food and drinks are better than expected. Worth the stay.

A beautifully located hotel in a location a little bit remote from Herceg Novi. Huge plus points are the team, the cuisine, the views over the bay and the gardens. Great animation team (Omar, Nikolas, Lido, Esphir, Maria, Naz and others), and the whole bar and restaurant team (I would have to name everyone ;)). They made the holiday super. Great food. Rooms are just ok, although could be better at a 4 star hotel. Disadvantage unfortunately for families with children is the lack of lifts to the beach or restaurants. With a pram going down the stairs or climbing up the quite considerable height difference is an effort, especially in the heat. Despite some drawbacks - I would definitely recommend the hotel. A good place to go in Montenegro!

First trip to Montenegro and stayed in early June for 9 nights and the weather was high 20s - low 30s. Lovely hotel, staff and especially the scenery around the Bay of Kotor. We stayed in the Luna building of the hotel on the top floor according us beautiful views and handy for everything. One word of warning - there are quite a few steps to get to the restaurant, most of the evening entertainment, and one of the bars. There are a number of boat excursions that can be booked near the pool with a really lovely and helpful person called Bobana - we went on a couple of trips and they were both well worth it. If couple of flights of steps doesn’t bother you then I’d very much recommend the hotel, We flew to Tivat which was fine, but some other visitors had flown to Dubrovnik (Croatia) and told me it was a bit hassle crossing the border. Best recommendation I can give is we will be returning.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was absolutely superb, with a special shoutout to the amazing animation team—greetings to Esfir for making it so fun! The food and restaurant service were excellent, offering a great variety of delicious dishes. The location is fantastic, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning views, though it’s a bit far from the airport (about a 2.5-hour drive). Housekeeping did an outstanding job keeping everything spotless, and the reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!
Response from Property: Dear Krzysztof, We would like to thank you for choosing us for your holiday and we are very honoured to know that we have lived up to your expectations. We will be delighted to have the pleasure of your company again in the not too distant future. Regards, Quality Manager Iberostar Waves Herceg Novi

Booked through Jet2 22-29 April. Very smooth flights and transfer. Reception: Very friendly at all times. All inclusive package explained. Bags taken to our room for us. Room: Very clean and tidy. Towels changed daily. Separate shampoo/conditioner/body wash on the wall. Handwash/lotion by the sink. Our room had a shower over bath(less mobile may want to ask for just a shower?). Plenty of drawer/wardrobe space. Plenty of lighting. Balcony with table and 2 chairs (partially overlooking the sea). Safe was chargeable (3.5 euros per day) which seems expensive...we didn't use it. Aircon not turned on until June , so requested a fan. No TCMF in room (we took our own travel kettle and coffee/tea). Refillable water flask in room, water dispensers to fill it on every floor for free. Hairdryer in room. Spa: fantastic! I highly recommend the full body massage. Gym:did not use or see so can't comment. Pool area: very clean with fab sun loungers. Pool bar open with self service (coffee, wine,beer)/served drinks (cocktails etc). Some snacks available in the afternoon, but didn't seem to filled up if empty) Towels available with a refundable deposit (we took our own anyway). Beach /beach bar area: Lots of free sun loungers with tables and umbrellas (nice and quiet down there by the sea edge). Water was cold but refreshing to swim in , there are several step ladders available to get into the sea, you'll probably need wet shoes as it's quick rocky at first with a few sea urchins. The beach bar was only open for drinks during our 'out of season ' visit, but it looks like they would serve snacks in high season as the equipment is there ready. No table drinks service. Bahia Bar: Very pleasant area for a pre dinner drink. If there's a cocktail you specifically like ...I'm sure the lovely bar staff would do it for you, nothing is too much trouble here, it's a lovely view across the bay at night/day. Restaurant: this is the only reason I gave a 4 and not a 5. Self service wine/beer/coffee/soft drinks/water-all great. Buffet style dining. Breakfast/lunch/dinner. There was always plenty of choice, salad's/meat/cheese etc. Hot dishes/veg/fries/pasta/pizza/ice cream/cakes/fruit. As usual when hotels are catering for the tourist masses, you're always gonna find some bland tasting dishes. I do think that the dishes here could have been more adventurous , we had a lovely spicy beef stew on a day trip we did, but never found this at the hotel, I think if there is a national dish at all, it could be served here. The staff are fabulous, always clearing /filling buffet up/making sure everywhere is clean. The hotel got busier as our week progressed, therefore so did the restaurant, I'm not sure there would be enough tables to accommodate everyone at high season (at one time) . Entertainment: Excellent team here. We don't usually get involved, but we did the music quiz a couple of times (great fun), tried archery and boules We never watched the evening entertainment 9-11pm at ou

The staff are lovely, very friendly and want to meet your needs as much as possible. Room was clean, tidy and even the cleaning lady would leave little chocolates after her daily clean. The food itself was ok - similar food most days though. As we came at the beginning of the season not many activities were prepared, the pool isn’t heated so very cold if you wanted to swim. Quite a lot of maintenance activities going on for example the sky bar was not in access due to a renovation. This didn’t affect our trip at all. The boat to the town was regularly and was definitely worth it as the hotel itself is very isolated. The hotel is very pretty and stunning views from every angle. Overall stay was lovely - staff were lovely, the only downside being that we came out of season.
Response from Property: Dear Lucy, We would like to express our gratitude for choosing Iberostar for your recent stay and for sharing your positive feedback with us. Your kind words about the essential aspects of our service that make your holiday special are deeply appreciated. We look forward to serving you again in the near future. What an amazing place! Breathtaking views around every corner, a sensational crew looking after you, spotless, a dream! The price you pay for breathtaking views are steps - many many steps, slopes, hills, ramps, inclines. As others have said this is not the place for you if you have mobility issues, but then neither is Kotor bay full stop as it’s stunning precisely because it’s Europe’s southernmost fjord. We were in the furthest block, at the top of the hill - it was a challenge but if you’re reasonably mobile, doable. That’s the negative out of the way - everything else was pretty much faultless at this gorgeous hotel. We were a small family (mum, dad and nearly 6 year old) visiting at peak season in August. Our son had the absolute time of his life at Star Camp and we cannot praise and thank Kate and Yazi enough. The energy, kindness and enthusiasm they have is beyond compare. If you are reading this girls O still misses you and asks about you! There are 2 sessions each day, 10 - 12.15 and 2 - 4.30 (they have Saturdays off) Our son begged to attend every single one! Doing amazing activities like treasure hunts, learning Montenegrin, mini Olympics and a little mini disco usually on the beach stage, at 5. The sustainability ethos of the hotel is particularly strong in Star camp and it was a joy and a real bonus as we didn’t know beforehand about this aspect of the Iberostar brand. Whilst Kate and Yazi took good care of our son the adults got some much needed relaxation time - and some not so relaxing but fantastic times in the schedule of activities. Aqua aerobics, Pilates, holistic activities with the amazing Varya, and not to forget darts, shuffleboard, pool games with the boys entertainment team, Saria, Cen and Ruslan….and some of the most competitive holiday water polo of you’re life! Taking part is far from obligatory and there is no aggressive rounding up - they simply come round and invite you to take part but you don’t have to if you don’t want. We had such fun though when we did! complete escapism and some of us even won the t-shirt! (Iykyk) We especially loved the foam party and we were lucky to be there for the festival day! Drinks and food were fab - we were never stuck - Soft and alcoholic drinks both great, water stations everywhere - tip: Ruslan’s pina coladas at the beach bar are immense! Food wise we loved the plentiful seafood, pancakes at breakfast, charcuterie spread and oh my the blue cheese! Tip: the real juice at the far end at breakfast is best and it’s true the coffee machine by the bread is better for some reason. Think we benefited from being at peak season as there were themed food stations at the entrance most nights, including from memory, tacos, pasta in a giant wheel of cheese, more seafood, steak grills. We were there for 2 weeks so by the end, as with all AI it did get a bit repetitive but honestly the reviews that totally slate the food are unwarranted. The views from the restaurant are incredible too - alt

The entertainment at this hotel was outstanding. I was with my friend and her daughter and the animation team actually made the holiday for us especially Omar who was so good at his job and was also such fun and a lovely young man. Also Adam, Victoria, nikolas and Lido were excellent too such a breath of fresh air I normally do nothing but was involved in all sorts of things. Please pass on our thanks to them from Margot, Leanne and Katie they are all brilliant The only slightly disappointing thing was the food was very samey. We ended up eating out at night due to this but this did not take from the experience. Hotel and bedrooms spotless. Thanks again for a wonderful stay Margot

Just returned from a fantastic ten days at the hotel. The room in the Stella building was clean and spacious and the sea view was amazing. The food was delicious in the dining room and there were different themes each evening. Wr even had frsh oysters one night. Fresh food cooked at the griddle each meal. Lots of sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool and beach. The sea was warm and the pool was great. The entertainment team worked really hard but we're not pushy. The Fire Show one evening was brilliant and we loved the live music around the pool bar. It was great having the boat taxi to Herceg Novi and we did a lovely day trip around Kotor bay with that company which was excellent. The only negative thing was that the hotel is built on the side of o steep hill so there are hundreds of steps each day. Keeps us fit after all that lovely food! Would highly recommend.

We experienced a very enjoyable stay in this lovely, clean and modern resort which comes with outstanding views of the bay and mountain backdrop. The excellent entertainment team provided a show/entertainment each night and sometimes during the day, all very talented and entertaining. The helpful restaurant staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Names to mention are; Ogi (Restaurant Customer Relations) who is a great asset to the resort. On finding out my wife is vegetarian and likes spicy food Ogi arranged for some really tasty and spicy dishes to be prepared specially for my wife by Chefs Mohamed and Marko plus one night an Indian member of the kitchen staff (unfortunately his name I have forgotten) made a spectacular Indian vegetarian curry to die for. To summarise; we would highly recommend this resort and the staff who work there. Steve & June C

Amazing place to visit. The location of the hotel is wonderful, with its own private beach, right in the bay. The views are incredible. The rooms are very good, finished to a high standard and cleaned daily. Food in the restaurant and snack bar is the best I have ever had in an all-inclusive, it is restaurant quality food, with loads of choice, if you like simple dishes there's plenty of choice plus loads of new dishes to try every day, it is suitable for everyone's tastes, couldn't really see how anyone would be unhappy with the choices on offer. The whole place is spotlessly clean and tidy. The entertainment is very good, always something to do if you want to get involved, but you never feel pestered into joining in if you just want to be left alone. The think the outstanding thing about this hotel is definitely the staff, they are all super friendly and very hard working. Mostly, a group of young people, but their professionalism and attitude is world class, no matter what their role within the team. Special mention to Omar in the entertainment team and Edin in the restaurant, neither of whom seemed to stop working for one minute of the day. We will definitely be back here in the future and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks all for making our holiday such a fantastic week away

Positive aspects worth highlighting: - Wide variety of food, including delicious breakfast smoothies - Active animation team (we especially enjoyed the glass bottle painting workshop) - Free car parking - Reuse point for swimwear and beach accessories - 24/7 access to drinking water - Spacious swimming pool - Beautiful views of the sea and mountains Areas for improvement: - Rooms are in need of renovation - Lack of a chair and coffee table in the room (Room 1201, Stella House) - No drying rack or clothesline on the balcony - Safe usage is charged extra – something we’ve encountered for the first time - Room cleaning after the previous guests could be better: dried stains in the bathtub, glass bathroom door covered in splashes and marks, stained floor and sofa (Room 1201, Stella House) - No buckwheat available at lunch or dinner – this is especially important for children - Limited variety of leafy green salads in the restaurant - Butter in the restaurant could be served in a more user-friendly way
