The hotel is very comfortable, the waiter's attitude is very good, the room is very good, but the Japanese restaurant experience is too bad, the waiter is seriously unfriendly to Chinese people, we 6 people spent 8,000 RMB dinner 🍾️ the product is not sorry for the charge, the service attitude is not friendly, Chinese people are friends all over the world, can you be more friendly

A traditional Japanese-style hot spring hotel, small and beautiful. The dinner portion is very generous and delicious. The breakfast is a Japanese breakfast. The price is quite affordable. It is worth recommending to everyone at this level.

An extravagant Onsen Hotel experience. I came in Autumn in the depth of fall colours. Every night the wind in the trees lulled me to bed. The rooms with the private tub and terrace are awesome. Dinner and breakfast is luxurious too with a sampling of local Nikko delicacies like Yuba. A hotel for adults looking for calm and solace.

Really great stay in the hotel, very clean and staff were extremely friendly and helpful!! Japanese style room was so cozy and the view was fantastic!!! Really great view of the surrounding mountains and lake. -1 star for the location due to the difficulty to find it at night. There were no streetlights in the area so we didn't know there were footpaths and had to do the dangerous route via the vehicle road in pitch darkness. Dinner wasn't fantastic but is included in the stay. Breakfast was decent though :)

The building and facilities are old and have not been renovated since we stayed there 10 years ago, and there were no room amenities.
We paid over 150,000 yen per night for this, so I don't think we'll be returning.
When we checked out, I didn't want to hear the manager loudly talking badly about the main Kanaya Hotel to an older man, saying that he hated it.
Does this mean he lacks professionalism as a manager...?
I hope people don't say that the old Kanaya Hotel was better.

Wow! This place was fantastic! The staff are all courteous and professional. The hotel rooms are really clean, and the atmosphere is so relaxing and tranquil. I really enjoyed the nature vibes, and the river view by the window is perfect! The sound of the water flow and birds chirping made it to be a great night's sleep. The morning scenery is even better. I have no complaints. It was a great place to stop and rest and admire your surroundings. Take advantage of the swimming pool and the hot springs. (FYI: No tattoos allowed in case you have any, so you won't be alarmed when you see the sign.) Otherwise, everything was great about my stay! ☺️

The service is very good. There are waiters who can speak Chinese and are very kind. The food was also great, kaiseki was amazing, very good tableside service, traditional Japanese restaurant. There are two public hot spring baths with their own characteristics. The male bath and the female bath are fixed every night, so you can experience both baths. The hot spring quality is very good, the hotel environment is clean and there are many facilities, which is very suitable for family travel. A very recommended hotel.

The hotel facilities are complete, the hot spring environment is beautiful, and there is also a swimming pool for me to experience, which is enough for me to have a good swim. I feel comfortable physically and mentally after experiencing these two projects! Personally speaking, the dinner service mode suits me very well, the design is very unique, and I come back with a full meal!

Very Good
黎黎The family is in their 30s. The room is large and the dinner is very luxurious. It is worthy of the specifications of the New Year’s Eve dinner. The service is very meticulous and thoughtful. The hot spring does not feel any minerals, but the venue is large and has an open air. When we left, we had a lot of luggage and took the initiative to drive us to the station, generally affordable
BBaoxiaohedexiatianIt is a hotel with a historical atmosphere. If you are good at English and Japanese, you will experience more. It is very close to the Shinkyo Bridge. The hotel service responded promptly and the attitude was good. The well-received Western food is really good. The marbled steak tastes amazing. The Japanese red trout is not impressive at first, but I actually like it haha. In short, both sets are quite satisfactory. The breakfast is a simple carbohydrate satisfaction, and the butter is good. I give satisfaction points for both meals. The deluxe room is large and the equipment is relatively new. The bedding is soft and thick. There is no dissatisfaction with other things such as bathroom hot water, toiletries, air conditioning temperature, room odor, etc. I left the hotel to play and stored the gift. When I returned, I asked the hotel to help call a taxi. Due to the evening rush hour, I didn’t make an appointment for the car, but the hotel waiter kept trying to make a call. In the end, he was very sorry and gave the taxi company card for our subsequent use. In short, it is a recommended hotel to stay in Nikko.
GGuest UserLocated between Tobu Nikko and JR Nikko, the location is very good. You can store your luggage at the hotel before traveling, without having to store luggage at the station. The room is very clean and not small. The triple room can spread out the luggage. It is similar to the structure of placing mattresses on tatami, and the distance between the beds is relatively narrow. I ordered a set meal with dinner, which I personally don’t recommend. The hotel gives vouchers for dinner (2,500 yen per person), and you take a shuttle bus to a place similar to a food court. The time is relatively fixed. The choice of variety and taste is actually good, but if you have the conditions to eat local dinner, this is not the best choice
HHoSVery old school ryokan run by very friendly who has been working there for many years. Your name will be displayed on the board next to the entrance of the ryokan to show that they were currently welcoming these guests staying at the ryokan! We stayed there for 2 nights with free parking and we didn’t have to drive anywhere until we checked out as the ryokan is within walking distance to the 3 major world heritage listed shrines including The Toshogu Palace.
Avoid room 312 or 313 (which we stayed) which are the smallest rooms. Those rooms in the middle parts are bigger and more comfortable. Do ask for any room facing the back of the ryokan and avoid those facing the front where you only see car parks with coaches coming in the morning bringing tourists to the shrines.
The onsite Onsen for ryokan guests, breakfasts and dinners are the highlights. You’d love the traditional Japanese meals served there and you won’t be hungry.
Would I come back to this ryokan again? Yes definitely due to its location and friendly staff.
GGuest UserFrom Kinugawa Onsen Station, walk along the river for 20 minutes and cross the iron bridge to the hotel. The hotel is right under the bridge, and you can see that it cost a lot of money to build it. The hot springs are standard, the dinner is rich, and there are acrobats after the meal. It can be seen that most of the tourists are locals.
MmamaaixiaoxiangThe price of 500+ per night for two people with breakfast and dinner is not available in Japanese hot spring hotels. Moreover, the breakfast and dinner for two days are different. Although it is a set meal for each person, you can eat a lot. The food is very delicious and the ingredients are very fresh.
The group purchase coupon bought by Ctrip on 919, but not many people bought it, probably because Kawaji Hot Spring is not as famous as Kinugawa Hot Spring, which is 8 kilometers away. In fact, the quality of hot springs in each place is different, and the therapeutic effect is also different. For the purpose of health preservation, soak in various kinds of hot springs, and there are many benefits.
GGuest User[Advantages]
- Many hotels with kitchens are a little dirty, but this one was like a model room and was clean.
- Although it is an artificial hot spring, there is a large open-air stone bath, which is exciting. If you prefer a shower, there is a separate glass-enclosed shower room, so you can use both. The water pressure is strong.
- Cleaning is done every three days, but there are two bath towels and two face towels for each person, so it's not a problem.
- The room key is an electronic lock that changes with each check-in, so security is high even when the room is unattended.
- The wifi is fast enough for five people to use. Even if you don't have HDMI, you can connect to a projector via wifi. It also has a surround sound function.
- The air conditioner works great.
- Five free Keurig capsule coffees are included.
- In addition to the sofa, there is also a Logos folding camping chair, so five people can sit comfortably.
[Disadvantages]
- We used both the first and second floors, but the first floor was very noisy with footsteps. Even the sound of cleaning at lunchtime was as loud as an earthquake. Your satisfaction will likely vary depending on where you stay, or on the lifestyle of the people living on the second floor.
Of course, there are no shops, so if you don't want to go out, you'll need to stock up on drinks and food.
IImdoubThe overall accommodation experience was very good, especially the environment and drink supply in the lobby, which was very warm.
The room feels spacious and the environment is comfortable. The view outside the terrace is stunning.
The hot springs are also very good. The men's and women's hot springs will swap in the morning and evening, so you can enjoy the hot springs on both sides.
There is also a buffet in the morning and evening. Personally, I think the morning buffet is better!
It is some distance away from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When passing the station, you will pass a long staircase. Passengers with suitcases and not self-driving should be careful.
GGuest UserThe second time I stayed here, the first time I stayed in a Western-style room. The room was large and very new. The second time I brought my parents to stay, I chose a traditional Japanese-style room. When I opened the window, I could see the snow-capped mountains and mountains. The attitude of the service staff is very good and the experience is very good. Staff will take the initiative to help make the bed at night. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very good, each restaurant has a fixed location, and dinner and breakfast are prepared in advance. However, the included meals are vegetarian by default. If you want to change meat, remember to tell customer service in advance.
GGuest UserDefinitely one of the closest if not the closest accommodation within station. The owner also operates a bar right beside the accommodation so if you want to have late night chat or get together, its not a problem.
The bed is also heated, which is desirable during the winter or cold weather.
The only downside is there is no dedicated front desk. You have to call their phone number if they are not around. If not for other waiting travelers who have japanese phone, we could have been waiting for hours.
