Due to an unfortunate situation with my car we ended up calling at about 1am in the hope of being able to get a room for the night, Cassie was lovely and did everything she could to help us. We then needed to extend our stay for another night which Evie helped us with as we couldn't stay in the same room. Then during the evening of our second night we met the lovely Diane who gave us a warm reception and made us feel very comfortable. Overall it was a great visit despite the circumstances that made it happen. Would highly recommend this branch. Thank you to Cassie, Evie and Diane for being so welcoming and helpful.

Stayed here for a couple of nights as I’m away from home. Room was clean and staff friendly. Will definitely return again.

We stayed at Tot Hill Travel Lodge for a family funeral. We were travelling down from Northumberland and needed to be in Henley for 1pm. Booked early check in after a call to them they assured us they w be able to check us in for 11am. Which they did, it was so helpful after a 6 hour journey to change and freshen up before heading out Everything was of an acceptable standard cleanliness wise it was quite even so close to the A34.Staff friendly and polite. Enjoyed our three night stay catching up with family

I’ve stayed here a few times and can’t complain! Staff are always friendly and helpful and the kind chap behind the desk helped me get back into my room after I locked my key in!! Day from hell ended in a positive way, thank you!!!

I stayed at Travel Lodge whilst in limbo between properties and I’m so glad I chose this one. Having previously stayed in 5* establishments, it is clear that this hotel has something that the 5* ones do not, and that is staff that care. Everyone that works here (I’ve been staying a few weeks so assume I have met them all) is an absolute delight. They are clearly happy to be here, will do anything for you and generally make the place feel like home. Sometimes it is about how issues are solved more than the issues themselves; I had a temperamental TV in the room, and the manager had it fixed in 5 minutes! Should I need a local hotel again in the future I will absolutely stay here.

Better than most - pleasantly surprised as we were told it was only 2star. Room smelled a bit sweaty on entering but we opened the windows - everything else worked out ok

Good location near the A34 and adjacent to a McDonalds. Friendly welcome. Unfortunately the window was covered with lots of small insects that looked like midges or knats. Also the reception for mobiles or wifi hotspot dongles was very poor.

Extremely friendly , staff amazing Have to make a special mention Diane was so helpful and accommodating nothing too much trouble The room is immaculate room 109: bathroom spotless why would you want to stay anywhere else it ticks every box and security is extremely good Thank you for making my one night stay so pleasant will definitely return More hotels could benefit from having a Diane working for them Chris

We stayed overnight at the Travelodge Newbury on Friday 16th May 2025. We were driving down from the East Midlands and needed a stopover en route to Southampton Docks where we were headed early the next morning. This hotel fitted our requirements perfectly. On our arrival at the Travelodge we were greeted by a very friendly lady on reception named Jayne. She was very helpful and friendly and advised us about places to eat nearby. The room we were allocated was clean and contained all the basic amenities we required for a comfortable overnight stay. The hotel was peaceful and quiet and we were unaffected by any comings and goings in the surrounding areas. We have stayed in several Travelodge Hotels up and down the country and have always found them excellent value for money, and this Travelodge was no exception. The only drawback was it didn’t have a restaurant but as there were eating places nearby it wasn’t a problem at all.

Good budget friendly hotel near to Newbury , friendly staff , clean and free parking. Stayed for a family wedding in the area and found this hotel was the best value. McDonald’s and Starbucks literally on the doorstep so easy for breakfast etc. Also well stocked petrol station carrying Waitrose , perfect for snacks / drinks.

Room stank of stale vomit, there fleas so got bitten, they are now in the car, overall what a mess. I really regret booking that place, best avoided.
