I had mixed feelings about the hotel. While the location is excellent, the noise level was unacceptable due to its position at a main intersection. I struggled to get restful sleep, as I was frequently disturbed by the constant sound of ambulances and NYPD car alarms. Although the hotel is generally clean, it’s undeniably an old property—let’s call it "legacy" or "historical." The room was spacious, which is a positive by NYC hotel standards. I rated the service just “1 star” because my interactions with the staff were consistently disappointing—from check-in to check-out and even with baggage storage. It was evident that the staff had a “just doing my job” mindset instead of showing any commitment to excellence or enthusiasm for providing a positive experience. When I tried to arrange for baggage storage before heading to Boston, the staff at the counter was unyielding, insisting they couldn't accommodate me even with payment. I understood their concerns about limited space, but I was frustrated by their failure to suggest or offer any alternative solutions. However, I am pleased to say that when I returned from Boston, I was relieved I had chosen to spend the remainder of my NYC trip at Staypineapple! Given how competitive hotel services are, I appreciate that Staypineapple’s service standards were the complete opposite of THE NEW YORKER.

the bed sheet were torn and they gave us an uncleaned coffee machine. hoping for us to clean it. when i compalined for the bedsheet they sent me a bedsheet , i being the guest would change it. The Hotel name has lost it glory. never ever ever again

We have chosen this hotel for one night stay as It was near to Penns Station where we can get to airport easily at Newark. It was a great location very near to subway.

There were two significant and negative issues at this hotel. First, there was a mandatory twenty five dollar a day resort fee. This was never mentioned here or anywhere else after i booked Or during the booking process. In theory, you can use that money everyday on your breakfast or other food. However, all of the restaurants in the shops inside charged two to four times more for the same food than outside. In effect It was merely a back doorway to increase the room price, but it was done in a way that i cannot reimburse. The second issue is that there are way too many young people on expense accounts in this hotel. The bar is overflowing, there are people drinking and spilling beer in the elevators, and there's a lot of loud noise and fighting occurring in the rooms and in the hallways. The hotel room's size was reasonable. The bath and shower were good. They only gave decaffieinated coffee, but that's a small issue. The hotel is also not convenient to public transportation, requiring a twelve minute or so walk to the nearest subway station, As well as non reliable taxi service.

The location is superb and staff were nice. Would appreciate it if there is a way to get hot water for tea though.

Stayed on the 25th floor. Hotel was easy to get to from Penn station, and close enough to times square & Madison Square Garden. Security at night you must show keys to access elevator areas.

Very good hotel Right in front of penns station. Good amenities, have parking docks nearby but need to pay 65$ per day. Hotel only pay 15$, we need to pay 50$.

The thumbnail of this hotel was slightly misleading, I expected the room to be more spacious than it is. I was dissatisfied with the lack of amenities, they did not have anything apart from the toilet paper and some plastic cups, not even a normal ceramic cup. For a four star hotel that takes on the name of “The New Yorker” in on of the most busy areas of New York it does unfortunately reflect the scarcity of space. Yet this should not be an excuse for the aged furniture and the outdated television the size of a laptop. Lastly🙆

The reception lady Afonza was great. She offered me a upgrade at a discounted price. She also waived off ny early checking fee. She is wonderful and also called after i settled in to see if everything is ok. View is good! Thanks you for the stay!

The bathroom service is bad, the water spills on the floor and you have to swim all day until they come to clean it.

Very close to MSG where we went for concert. Very accommodating and let us get a room day of after a fire at our hotel down the street. View from my room is in picture

Loved the New Yorker, the location is perfect to go to MSG. The room was a bit small. Other than that everything was wonderful.
