I am afraid to say, this will be the last time I stay in a Wanda hotel anywhere in China. This specific hotel, like every other Wanda hotel, was clean, comfortable, had beautifully appointed rooms, a great shower, good WiFi, friendly and professional service(although I was surprised no English was spoken at check-in) and a good location. However, all of this is completely redundant when the room is simply too hot to sleep in. It’s a problem I have faced in at least two other Wanda hotels elsewhere in China. My friend and I didn’t turn the air conditioning off once during our two night stay, we also didn’t open the curtains at any point and, despite being set to the lowest possible temperature, the room never once got below 25°c. When you are paying for a five star hotel you should be able control the temperature of the room as one of the most basic requirements.

We booked an executive double room - the executive lounge and swimming pool we’re both closed and the alternative food and beverage provided was sub-par. The quality not the food generally was rather poor - the boiled eggs we picked at breakfast were not cooked - and staff were not terribly attentive.
